Weight Loss So YoU HaVe Lost a lot of weight??WHaT don't you Like?? Mar 18 2008

some loose skin on my arms.

an entirely too flat ass. i used to have one.

bones hurt. sitting hurts.

i am so not used to seeing myself in the mirror like this, i don't even recognize myself!

constant comments from my family telling me i am too thin now but that is just cause they are all used to me being so big.

small boobies.

even with all these things i would definately not go back just for comforts sake. i like being able to find clothes that fit and feel confident in them.

Fitness walkers! Feb 09 2008

I love walking. I have been doing it for a few years now and it has become a part of me. In the begining it was a great way to begin a healthy lifestyle and just feel good about moving. Naturally i have moved up to running among other things for weight loss but walking will always be something i enjoy. I've lost over seventy pounds so i believe it is definitely something worth while. plus i gives you time to get away from stressful situations and think which can be a wonderful relief.

i find drinking water right when i wake up helps because your stomach is empty and the water can go straight to your bowels. hot water with lemon right in the morning also helps if you want something hot.

Weight Loss Does coffee make you store fat around your midsection? Jan 26 2008
04:18 (UTC)

i have read that the acidity in coffee causes your body to store excess fat around the midsection in order to protect the organs. but i also agree that everyones body reacts differently to everything.

i read that in the book Skinny Bitch...

I'm definitely gonna try to eat as little meat products as possible now. I actually don't like drinking milk too often cus it leaves a gross taste in the back of my throat, so I drank some soy milk this morning with my breakfast. It's yummy lol. Then for lunch (I normally eat some kind of fish with some veggies) I had some pinto beans that I cooked and mashed up then put some salsa in. Very good. I guess it will be easy to do this as long as I'm the one cooking lol. I want to read that skinny bitch book now... where can you buy it?

i ordered mine from amazon! and yes, being the cook helps tremendously.

i used to be like that too. i would  just eat it straight from the jar and hate myself after so when i changed my eating habbits for the better i just stayed away from the peanutty goodness. now i can safely say that when i want it i have it and stay under the serving size.

How about a vegan version of the Portuguese soup Caldo Verde?  I make it all the time; in fact, I've got a pot on the stove now.

Start by sauteing onion, shallots or leeks in a little olive oil.  Add plenty of minced garlic and (optional) a dried red chili pepper, or a few flakes of red pepper, some minced fresh parsley and a bay leaf.  Put in diced potatoes and washed, deveined and chopped kale.  Fill the pot with vegetable stock.   Simmer until the potatoes are done.  Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Kale has such a nice sweet taste and is packed with the best nutrition.

ooooh...sounds good. will do. thanks a bunch!

Foods Garlic..?? Jan 19 2008
16:19 (UTC)

garlic is my weakness, i had so much one night that when i worked out the next day i reaked and felt so bad for the man on the treadmill next to me but hey, the garlic was great the night before so i did not care.

i have actually read that you should let the garlic sit for a while before cooking it after you crush and cut it in order to get the most benefit. but definitely fresh is best. all food in its natural state is more nutritious than a processed food.

i am one who lifts about 10-20lbs when strength training simply because i have no strength, everyone has to start somewhere. i think some muscle on a woman is nice but bulging man muscle is not exactly my idea of an attractive trait, just a personal opinion though!
