Well, my main problem with weight and metabolism and food derives from a medication I was on for over 10 years. Ritalin. It destroyed my metabolism - and caused severe IBS. I take a vitamin each morning with breakfast so that I won't get any deficiencies from my problems. To sum it up: I can't have milk products, unless I want to become "friendly" with a toilet for a long period of time. Anything high in certain types of acid set off the same problem.. most foods that are high in sodium or sugar also set off my IBS. |

I stopped growing when I was 12. So, I don't see the problem with 14,15,16 year olds wanting to lose weight. Many times, these teens can be overweight because many parents tend to over-feed. Now that they want to make a change in their lifestyle, is that so bad? |

I, also, have a problem with the "too little calorie" ordeal. If I eat more than say 700 or 800 calories in a day, I get sick - most things I like to eat are sparse with calories... so this is a lot of food. I'm almost always eating. But I still can't hit even 1000. Can anybody give some advice on some foods that are healthy and a little calorie dense? |
