Hi-I did try that one a couple of years ago.  It was good for the problem you are talking about.  Suddenly I was regular.  It didn't do all the other things that all the reports boasted about, like losing weight or anything amazing.  But being regular was nice.  Wink  Those side effects ended when I ended the product.  They say you can keep taking the fiber.

It is a bit expensive for just getting regular, however.

Now 2 years later I recently cut my sugar intake by quite a lot.  Not out completely...but way less.  Funny, that has also made me regular.  And it costs WAY less.

Hope you find what you are looking for!

Right there with you!  Same situation, agaac, unfortunately.  The only thing I CAN tell you is that you aren't alone!!!  I cannot believe how many people around me are getting boob jobs!  So between padded bras and plastic surgery, you have no idea how many people are in our exact situation.  If women would own up to it....without shame....we'd be amazed, I'm sure.

But it is too hard!  Our society says we are misfits.  It isn't acceptable anymore....you have to FIX it.  I don't know if "society" really says it but surely Hollywood promotes it.  Although I love Kate Hudson because she has done movies with LARGE breasted women and she appears to be flat herself....but still puts on her bikini and flaunts it.

I personally have been working out at the gym anyway...w/ the unnecessary jog bra just for some extra layering.  Then I ventured out in PUBLIC without my friend, the padded bra!  It was soooooooo hard to get over the mental crutch.  Not that I looked that different to everyone else...but wow it was still hard.  Let me tell you, it is freeing.  So out I go...looking thin but completely devoid of any type of anything but I FEEL so much better.

Anyway...just wanted to tell you you're not alone!  Keep your chin up!

Howdee folks--I am sitting at 154.2...about the same place I've been at all September.  I think I've had weeks of overindulgence and weeks of under..and somehow it all balanced out to no weight loss.  Up and down lots.  I did NOT make it to goal by my goal date (birthday was what I was shooting for)..seems these last 4 lbs is gonna take some time.  And I haven't been counting 'cause life has been too busy.  And counting for me is of utmost importance.

So I'm still doing the weights.  Love em!  Inittowinit I totally agree weights changes your body.  I think I look better now at 154 than I did 2+ years ago at 154.  Then I was walking lots and medium weights....now I'm challenging myself with more weights and for longer.  I used to be scared I'd look too huge and now I love the look.  With my body my upper is small and my lower is medium...so by getting more shoulder mass I look more balanced.  Plus I need the strength to lift all my growing kiddos.  I'd love to see your pics inittowinit!  I need to take some....been awhile.

Hang in there etahbear!  You will be fine.  Great job on the workout!  I understand the scale hatred.  Smile doesn't make sense much of the time. ah well...we love em we hate em.

happy weekend tall friends!

Hey everyone-

I am happy about one more lb down!  Yay!  The scale was kind today...another stressful week...not a lot of counting...but I must be pretty used to eating right about the same amount 'cause I am still losing even tho the counting has slowed.  Now the stress I've had keeps me very busy so I can't eat all day...so I'm sure that helps!

SW 178 CW 154.0 GW 150.  I had to add the .0 because it is so rare.

Skooks-from your pics I can't imagine that I am "ahead" of you.  We def carry our weight differently (duh!  everyone does).

Etahbear....pull out some old photos and inspire yourself for those last 15!!!  You inspire me!!!  Isn't it funny that it is so hard to look BACK and enjoy....all you can see is 15 more pounds!  I know we've talked on this thread about it...look BACK and see how far you've come!  You can't be bummed about 15 more!  You must feel like a different person!  And the comments you must get!  Keep up the good work.

Inittowinit-great job on your inches lost!  How fun!  I am frightened beyond belief to put mine up!    I know what you mean about staying motivated once you are "comfortable"....I totally went thru that about 7 or 8 lbs ago!  I was feeling like I was looking pretty good.  And I ate like I thought that too.  Good thing I love working out...I think that pushed me to keep up on the calorie side.

Hi Danielle!  Welcome.  I started at 178 and I've lost most of it since the end of May....so it may happen FASTER than you think!  counting was the key for me.  I exercised but I had done that before to no avail.

Carolally-maybe your body is telling you you are done!  :o)  800 to 900 def w/o loss may just mean your body isn't happy going down anymore.  How did you come up with 125 as a goal?

Well...happy counting everyone!  Have a great weekend!

em---I gotta post some new pics...I love all the new ones you all put up!  problem is I'm always BEHIND the camera

HI everybody...I guess it is already Friday!  That was a fast week for me.  Well the scale is saying 155.4 but I don't know.  I've been stressed and not eating/logging as I should so that may not be permanent.  You know those pounds you lose while starving that don't wind up being permanent.  So like Beth I may go up some.

But still working out..now that school is in I have (oh GET) to go to the gym at 5 a.m. while the family still sleeps!  Hard but gosh I feel great the rest of the day!  I only do this one to two times a week and the weekend I get to go at a normal hour.  I'm getting lots of definition in my shoulders...and even some on my calves, which quite frankly were looking kind of gross to me before I started losing.  So I'm excited about that!

Skookum and Etahbear I think you will be pleasantly surprised...I doubt you really gained that much....just have patience and your hard work WILL show itself.  Have fun on your trip Skooks!  Tell them "yes, I made it to my goal!  It was a lot of hard work" and go on with your business.  Don't let it get to you!!!!  You look great!

Hi everyone.  Well I guess I'm down a pound...although last week I was up so I should have been here already.  Oh well I will TAKE it!  SW 178 CW 157 GW 150.  Seven pounds left!  I am so slowing way down now that I'm close.  I don't understand why this happens but as long as I'm not completely stopped, I definitely shouldn't complain!  Good job etahbear!

Meggo -you are having a hard time sticking to it you said.  What is your hardest time of day...type of food, etc.  Do you allow yourself cheat days or cheat food?  My staying power comes from allowing myself cheat food...not every day but I don't deprive myself a TON either.  I stay within my calories but when I gotta have something, I have it.....put it in my calorie counter and then I may be hungry later (due to empty calories) or sick (from sugar) but at least I had whatever it was that I HAD to have and I'm over it.  If I go OVER one day, well then the next day is a brand new day.  Don't give up!!!  You did it once, you can do it again.  Just remember slow and steady.  I think we get too eager for it to happen NOW and when we blow it we just want to give up.  But it is a SCIENCE.  Calories in less than calories out and YOU WILL LOSE WEIGHT.  It is amazing that way.  You can do it!  Hop back on the bandwagon!  Go girl!!!  Think about how much better clothes will feel and how you'll feel confident and POWERFUL.

Skookum- where'd you go?  Wanna hear how you're doing!

Happy Friday all!

Happy Friday!  SW 178 CW 158 GW 150 well well well not any movement down...I think I was 157.6 last week.  Argh.  I was under calories a couple of days due to stressful days...and I haven't counted in a few days.  I gotta get back on the counting wagon to get these stubborn lbs to move.

Still working out the same....really eating is all that is different.  So I gotta work harder at eating enough.  Funny problem to have since I LOVE eating.  When I have time I do fine.

Inittowinit I LOVE WEIGHTS TOO!  I love the smith machine for my squats...tho I'm pretty sure I don't squat more than guys so far!  I LOVE seeing my shoulders getting defined!  I do 3 days lifting, finished off with 20 min cardio and HIIT 3 days...tho my HIIT is pretty wimpy.  I do it on the treadmill at home and it is only 16 min total!  But man do I sweat!  What do you do?  Welcome, btw!

Erin-HOLEY COW!  You have lost a ton of weight!  GREAT JOB!!!  How  long has it taken you?  Are you going to post before pics at some point?  You are a huge success story!  Wow.  You totally deserve surgery......very cool that you are going to stick with losing until you can afford it.  I guess I missed you joining the group earlier.  just had to say WOW!

Skookum- I so totally get what you are saying.  You get so focused and so excited about a goal, then you get there and you are already looking towards the next goal instead of patting yourself on the back at what you just did!  We gotta look to the past and realize what we've accomplished!

SW 178  CW 157.6  GW 150

I'm going down...that's all that matters.  I'm close to goal and I'm hungry so I think it will slow way down now for the homestretch.  I'm trying to keep motivated.  I have to sit and read testimonials on this site when I just want to eat at night.  It usually works but I don't get anything else done!  Undecided  Seriously, though, my bum and my abs just don't look like they are going to be where I want them in a mere 8 more lbs so I may be reevaluating my goal once I get there!

Beth aren't you below that dreaded #?  The one you hadn't gotten below in a bunch of years?  You are doing fantastic!  Wow Steph you are so close!  Can u taste it?  Monkey hang in there..it will get easier to focus now that guest are gone.

Welcome Megan & amazon!

Carol WOW great job! You are getting so close to goal!

My experience (I'm sure I've said it before) for those of you wanting to tone....80% diet 20% fitness. So really the thing that is gonna lose the weight is your diet...and for toning you can't beat lifting weights. It is the fastest result-getter I know. And not wimpy weights. You can't get big like a guy. Lower body sculpting squats and lunges with weights. I do lunges with a 50# bar. Squats with 35# on each side on the smith machine. Whatever you hate the most is probably the best for you. Lunges are my love/hate exercise. You shouldn't be able to do more than 8 - 12 repetitions or your weight is too light.

Cool thing about muscles is you can eat more calories cause they are more efficient.

Hi!  Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Skookum-you'd better watch your back!  I am so coming down and we're going to be neck and neck in the 150s!  ACTUALLY, I'm losing fast now 'cause it is like starting over from my first 5 lb drop probably.  It may just slow down.  But I hope not!

I'm so glad to have all of you for motivation!

Today was my middle child's bday...so I had some bites of cake!  Not too many.  Pretty off weekend, tho, eating stuff I don't normally eat...hard to count calories w/ all the unknowns.  But I worked hard Saturday getting the house clean and the meal prepared for our guests (all family) for the bday/Father's Day celebration.  We'll see what the damage is when I weight again.

Yeah......on comments of peops not noticing....I don't know about you ladies, but I FEEL a difference.  I don't necessarily SEE a difference in the mirror but I walk around with my head up higher and just feel prettier, you know?  My hubby is the ONLY one who notices.  And I can't tell if he REALLY notices or if he just really wants me to feel good cause I'm doing it so hard core.  He said he can tell in my bum and he doesn't want THAT to go away!!  Hah!  I told him, not to worry, that ain't likely to happen as that is the ONLY place I've consistently been big for my entire life since puberty.

Monkey- I'm a stay at home mom!  Can u imagine how many times I walk past that kitchen???   So I know what you mean about snacking 'cause hey the food is right there!  What I have in my favor would be the 3 chillens I get to chase around who have WAY more energy than I....tho I don't always use that to my advantage (i.e. sometimes I sit upon my aforementioned bum way too much anyway)...whereas some of ya'll may have to sit at work and don't have that advantage...so it all works out.    (sorry that was a long entry..guess I missed everybody!)

Happy Thursday everyone!

Welcome Kim!  Good job stopping the habit!  That's awesome...and I agree..if I am dying for a Starbuck I'm going to have one!  Now that means that I'm going to be hungrier that day cause the calories have to give elsewhere but I can't live totally banning foods.  I won't stick to it.  I know myself too well.  The nice thing since starting is I don't really miss sugar too much.  I have it occasionally now, whereas before it was a major food group for me!

Beth-I LOVE natural stuff as opposed to drugs!  I visit a naturopathic doc here (who also is a midwife) and she has helped me with lots of stuff.  Esp with young kids I LOVE having alternatives to prescription drugs.  And preventative stuff.  LOVE IT.  Congrat on the weight loss.  You are doing great!

Monkey-I actually have never been to Paris.  My only venture out of the country was to Ecuador.  But sounds fantastic!

I don't know 'bout the rest of you but I am really hungry.  I keep thinking my stomach will shrink and I'll get over it.  But wow!  Haven't yet.  The days I choose Starbucks or the like, I think it is worse...obviously when I stuff myself with veggies and protein I'm not as hungry.  But y'know sometimes I just gotta have a treat!

Keep it up gals!!  Weigh in tomorrow!!!

Sorry you aren't feeling good carolally!  Hope supplements help!

I'm so with those of you who fluctuate daily on the scale!  Yesterday was 166! which was just out in left field and today is back at 171.5....go figure.  Time for a new scale perhaps?  But when I was weighing daily it was crazy how it ping-ponged around.

Calorie counting is really eye opening for me.  I really can eat a lot and not gain.  But trying to go down!  Wow such a bummer that I really can't eat nearly what I'm used to.

The more I read about FAT LOSS the more I hear that lifting weights is the way to go.  That isn't everyone's cup of tea but effective....cause muscle takes up less space than fat AND burns way more calories.  According to these peops the cardio doesn't do much but gosh if it works do it!

As for running a marathon...good for you!  I'm so NOT a distance runner but I know there are lots on this site.

So I'm kinda late on this thread but if anyone else needs advice, I second the magnesium!  I've dealt with this for years and my naturopathic doc finally told me about Magnesium and she started me off on 200mg and told me to increase a pill a night (200 mg per pill) until I was regular.  You would not believe how great this is.....total regularity for 1st time in my life!  I took 3 pills a day...that's what worked for me....some might only need 1.  And she says she takes an extra if she goes on vacation.  Y'know most of us aren't as regular on the road....hope this helps someone.
