Just take a box or bag and put your clothes which dont fit you anymore in in and just go and donate it,Dont keep it in your house otherwise you will never be able to get rid of them.

There is nothing wrong in buying cheap clothes when you are loosing weight and you know that this wont be your size for long.

I was sailing in the same boat on saturaday when I had pizza,wine and tiramisu for dinner........and then I was feeling guilty......but then somebody suggested me to drink lot of water, do not weigh  for few days and just add 15 min to excercise routine for a week...........I am doing all above these days.........I am sure just few meals are not that bad.

Infact such cheat days are good to boost body metabolism.

So dont worry........move on

I knw I went over board today.....I normally eat healthy and exercise 5 days a week. Today was a cheat day .

Thank you guys I am really feeling better . I am not going to repeat this and will not weigh myself before saturday.

increasing my excercise time this is a very good idea...thanks mimi_js

Try to keep theses parties once in a month.........It wont hurt you that bad........I understand at times it is difficult to say no to friends or leave them for this one bad thing.

But yes if your friends are partying too frequently and forcing you with them ....then its time to pick friends who understand you or make new friends.

Some times If you do lot of exercise body tends to retain water for muscle repair thinking that exercise will never stop.  Give your body a break for 1-2 days in a  week. This extra water weight will come off in 4-5 days.

I gained 3 Lbs few months back then someone on this forum told about this water weight thing and It did come off.

Hey 10bysummer I add variety by altering between 3-4 kinds of cereals, use different kind of breads and spreads for lunch. I love beans so I try different recipes with them. check out this link below for easy fat free recipes

Cardio and abs workout is the only solution to reduce this stubborn stubborn stubborn belly fat.

Try to do different kind abs work out daily if possible .

Hi

Congrats for loosing 16LB!!!!

Its generally water weight which comes out fast, after that body looses weight slowly. It might be possible that you have hit a plateau. try changing you calorie intake like eating more proteins, altering your calorie intake  which will confuse your body metabolism and you will start shedding pounds again.

Thanks Bernst31 I didn't know that egg and nuts retain water in body,I used to think that I have gained weight because of hight fat percentage in nuts. Its a very good piece of information for me.

I will start eating nuts again to increase my calories intake and hope will start loosing again

I am a vegetarian may be that's a reason that I m barely able to eat 1200 calories.

I start my day with a cup of coffee and cookie before hitting Gym

B/F - 2 cups cereal and fruit bowl

Snack - Yogurt

Lunch - Sandwich and cup of coffee

Supper - Salad (I don't use fat free dressing as I hate it)

Dinner - Lentil soup, boiled vegetables with some rice or chapati( Its Indian bread)

Dessert - some chocolate (I cant resist chocolates )

 

To top up my calories I do eat some nut

Motivation I've hit a plateau! Advice anyone? May 16 2008

I agree with Lynnhaslost,Only way to break plateau is to change your routine by changing your exercise regime and altering calorie intake.

I have hit plateau again and even I am trying to break it .

Don't be disappointed .......remember you are not the only one trying to loose we all are with you in same ship.....Wink

Don't let these numbers bother you, Once You will start loosing weight you will start feeling good about your body specially when you will see clothes getting loose, people complimenting you etc etc.

Yes Jarredwayne......U are right no matter how much I eat I just barely touch 1200 mark. I eat fruit bowl for snack which fills me but has very few calories.

Go to you tube and type abs exercise, there are few very good videos for abs exercise and the best part is that you don't need any gears to do them so you can do them in your room. Offcourse healthy eating is must as everybody said.

I Love Pizza...........I generally eat on my cheat day and I don't feel guilty about it as I consider it to be reward for eating healthy the whole week.

Muffin: Banana nut

Ice Cream/sorbet/popsicle:Hot chocolate fugde

Cereal: Kellogg's frosted flake

Energy bar: Mix nut

Chips: Dorito

I am with you. I know how frustrating it is but till the time those extra lbs come off after 5th day....I am happy.

Relax don't get upset with it I used to feel the same way as you do but you know that increased my stress levels leading to painful periods. With me other problem is that my appetite  all of the sudden increases adding on to problem.

Have you increased your fiber intake recently because high fiber food can be gassy.............How much water do you drink. Try increasing that.

Try adding green tea to your diet.I helps me with my stomach problems.

Every morning I look at scale and is compelled to weigh myself. Once I even decided to weigh just once a week but could only hold to that decision for more than 2 weeks and on 15th day i was back to weighing myself daily.

Honestly at times its really frustrating specially when scale goes up due to avrious reasons.

Well since u don't need to loose weight you can skip cardio  and start weight training it will help you build muscles and apart from steroids which are really bad for body, weights are only way out.Smile
