Thanks so much everyone for your pearls of wisdom! I'd forgotten how great this site is and how friendly everyone is.

Lisajb74: that is exactly what i'm like, going over board and getting frustrated when i slip up! A plan for christmas is a good idea then I will be prepared and not let it take over this time round.

Dondons: I've got to admit I dont exercise! I used to walk to work for about 30mins but now I'm unemployed so I can't even do that. I think it's fair to say I've become quite de-motivated since I don't have a job to keep me going and I kinda turned to food as a comfort.
I live at the seaside now so in theory I should make the most of the active feel around here but it's hard to launch into it...

Peppermynthe: That's true actually, use what happened as experience to prevent it happening again. I did have a weigh in group which was each week but the people changed n I didn't feel quite so involved anymore n after a while I kinda slipped away n I think I've been deleted now! So much for a support gropu hey lol. I will look for another group tho, they are very helpful as you say you have to fess up all your sins to them!

Okiewoman: Yeah I'm taking it one day at a time, all you can do really isn't it. Makes it so much easier to cope with too. Gotta get to where I want to be first but yeah that's a good idea, I don't even know how I didn't notice the lbs slipping on.. must've been avoiding the scales lol.

Sasquatch27: I don't quuiiiiite follow the game analogies there but I think I get the general idea lol. Same here I didn't notice the weight had creeped back on either! Thank you, I'll keep my eye on the prize n I WILL win :)

I'm 19 and my number is 0. Still tryna find someone who i trust and feel comfortable enough to let go with.

Its scary to even think about it i dont know how im gunna get over this hurdle... any advice??

Happy birthday in four days Bree! Wow 19 lbs in 12 weeks well done u!!

Lynn good luck with the last 20 lbs then im sure you can do it. It doesnt help when friends say that, while it is nice to have the compliment it makes me get a bit complacent do u?

I'm finding it hard to get back into the swing of things, just got to stay focused i think. And i dont actually exercise so i need to do more than just walking into work which is only 20 mins!

I find it too that now at night you tend to want to eat whereas in the summer you tend not to.

It must be that we stay indoors more cos its too cold outside, we aren't moving around much and there's less to do so you get bored and.... eat!

And like you say there's the holiday foods which are usually calorific so that doesn't help!

 

So not looking forward to the new year weight loss rush but don't you find that you don't think about that until after christmas and after you've splurged out a little bit too much lol. Gotta love the holidays!!! xx

Hey all,

sorry am late this week been crazy busy.

Am 170lbs this week. I need to exercise and count my calories properly; am getting really lazy because it's taking ages to loose the weight.

I'm an all or nothing person though so once i get back in the swing of things it should happen again?

So this is our new weigh in thread yeah?

Hello to new people that have joined!

I'm lucy, 18, female, UK, started at 185 but thankfully am now 168.
My goal weight eventually is 154 but for the time being it is 164.

Great idea dinarly and welcome mitt, coralhart, reaper, and liquiddiet.

I'll weigh in now as i'm here but if have time will check in tomorrow too.

168- 2lb loss from last week hurrah!!

Yay we're back!!

I am 170lbs unfortunately but hopefully now that we're back doing our weigh ins then I will get motivated again.

I've really got to eat healthy food as well as count my calories though because I've hit a plateau for ages now and I think it's because the food I'm eating is high in fat n stuff so not good.

Wow I'm overwhelmed by everyones help.

Sure seems that there are a lot of people who have been in the same situation.

I'm definately going to take the advice and set myself mini goals and change one thing for 3 weeks and then set another goal.

Thanks again for everyones help and it is true that we do it to ourselves but also its as though there is someone else who takes over when you have a binge episode.

Good luck to everyone else who is trying to overcome binges. CC is such a great site and thanks again to everyone.

Hey, 166. Gained 1lb!

Is it true that if you eat too much salt you retain water? I eat a lot of salty foods and tend to put salt onto my other food...

Am gunna try and exercise see if that helps me shift the lbs. Keep at it everyone xx

Ooh thanks, sounds a bit complicated with increasing protein and carbs etc. I have no idea how much of each food group i'm eating just count cals... maybe thats where im going wrong?!

Are workout dvds any good as an exercise??

Hey all.

Am 165lbs Surprised 1lb to go till my first goal.

Then my next goal is 154lbs as that is well into the healthy BMI.

You can drink hot Coke?? Isn't that a bit gross??

Andreal21 you were134.5 lbs now 131.18 so a loss of 3.31!
1kg = 2.2 lbs ... i Googled it lol i'm not that clever Laughing

Wahoo finally lost! Am 166lbs but its the time of the month so that might be why. Am thinking positive though and loss is still loss Smile

Hows everyones snacking going?

How about people list a few (healthy) things that they like to snack on??

I'm one for cashew nuts which i know they are really calorific but sometimes i reeeeally fancy some! Snackajacks are great; rice crackers basically and they have a massive range so could have some popcorn or some salt and vinegar rice snacks. Also i drink a lot of tea... but maybe thats because im english hehe does fill me up well though so its a good tip.

Hey everyone. I think i've sorted my computer now, fingers crossed any way!

Haven't had time to log my food let alone snacks recently really sorry- I've got a second job now as well as college so im a busy girl!

This morning i was 167lbs which i was really suprised about as haven't been very healthy AT ALL recently!!

Is there really only 4 members now? What happened to everyone?!

I know what you mean, it doesnt feel worth it and i like how when i wake up in the morning i feel all fresh and not full up with food.

They do say though that breakfast gets your metabolism going and so that aids weight loss.

Hope thats some sort of help. It's not the end of the world if you dont have breakfast but in my opinion eating at 10 or 11 can be pretty much classed as breakfast anyways!

Hey everyone, sorry my computer has been playing up recently so haven't been able to get on here!!

staps that sounds like a plan to me! If you have a bad snack write it down somewhere and then at the end of the week we say what we've had. We can see just how bad / good we are with snacking!

Does anyone else want to track our snacks? Snack track Smile lol

This week i am, 169lbs. Planning on a healthy week next week and have been doing yogalates so will keep up with that too.

Hey, well it takes time so keep going!

I remember when i started back in december (not the most ideal time i know) that even though i was sticking to my calorie intake i wasn't loosing lbs but then i did sart to loose and it it started fairly quickly to begin with.

I don't know about the science stuff with weight loss but i do know from personal experience that it takes a couple of weeks to get going but it is SO worth it.

Its great that you have made the desision to do this and also great that you can incorporate your kids into your excersise as this will spur you on.

I feel the same!! You're so not alone don't worry, it feels like it though when you having a binge. Feels like your so gross and no one else could possibly eat as much!

It is difficult to overcome the urge to eat all the yummy foods but try and remember those phrases... a moment on the lips is a life time on the hips etc and my personal favourite... nothing tastes as good as being slim feels. Smile

What i've had to do, with sweet stuff especially, is to have low calorie, low sugar etc things.
I would recommed Weight Watchers foods as they tell you how much calories each has AND they taste yummy. So even if you end up having all of them its not many calories!

Am 169.5lbs this week.

Is it just me or has our group become a bit distant recently? Each week we dont really say much other than our weight.

I for one am in need of a bit of support atm as am having real difficulty with self control! I keep snacking!

I didnt say a life partner, im waaay to young for that. But if i have sex with a guy i want it to be with someone whos gunna be there in the morning kind of thing thats all i meant by a partner.

Vicereine, I've met people online before but never had the guts to meet them in real life.

Theres this guy whos 19 who i met on myspace. Turns out we both went to the same highschool and have some of the same mates! He is really sweet (not to mention gorgeous) and hes been really interested.
Maybe too interested though, really flirty etc and it kinda put me off cos i got embarrased!! So i didnt meet with him even though i wanted to and im sure it could have gone on to be something.

Maybe im too afraid, and thats why nothings happened for me yet.

A lot of 5'7 and 5'8 girls out there then yay!!

I'm 5'8 and am 170lbs atm, my aim is 164- 154 though. Am a UK size 14 which im pretty proud of as was 16-18 Smile.

Its hard to decide what should be though as this post has shown there are so many variations in size/weight etc from girl to girl.
