I'm not sure what I'm doing on actual Halloween, but I'm going to a house party a week or so before. A murder mystery sounds fun though. :) More so than beer pong.

I was homeschooled for many years. Some elementary, all but half a semester of junior high and all of high school. I have few friends and so few social skills. Having social anxiety ever since I can remember and being so isolated during my homeschooling years really did not help. I'm in college now and it is tough. I do recognize that I must enroll in many social groups and whatnot even if it is anxiety producing, to sort of socialize myself. I'll get better, I know I will.

One good thing about homeschooling is you can provide an excellent education. You have a lot more access and freedom to different books and a just a wider base of knowledge you can expose your kids to.

ETA: I'm also incredibly selfish. Not sure how much of that is personal failing, environment or homeschooling though.

Is the person you describe as a "mental patient" and having everything wrong with him, your husband?

I usually like talkative people (sometimes not for really prolonged periods of time). It is nice to just sit back and listen to someone, especially if they enjoy talking. I do get annoyed if they almost never stop talking or they don't like to listen to anyone else.
