quintanion - ooohh!! have fun with the summer job. i haven't gone hiking in a looong while. getting some fresh air &seeing all those nice thing should be a blast!

wedding - stop thinking just do it! lol. but it's understandable since you have your training for the 5K run.  ooohh speaking of PE, i can't decide between this so called "guts and butts workout" M-TH in the morning or volleyball at night M/W for 3 hrs. ughh!!! i can't decide and i can't do both. but i wanna do both but then i have to work in between though and shoot, i don't want to work at night but i also don't want to get up super early for it..sheesh!

right then... i added a little bit of weight. darn festival!!! i wish i could just skip the weekends. i do better during the week, i dont understand why. *sigh* it feels like im always back to square one... oh if all the fatty fat fats could just drop right then and there off of me..haha i would be happy lol!

xzcandizx- wow! 6 out of 7 nights. I don't think i'd be able to handle that. my dad will mostly likely the first to complain while my mom probably won't and I'll be sitting there thinking ... omgosh i don't know what to eat! i also know how it feels about the at home thing where everyone can just agree to eat one thing or two. it's difficult too so i totally understand. i really prefer veggies and salad and lean meat stuff and seafood. but my brother doesn't like seafood that much and my dad can't have seafood that much too due to some health problems. then i don't want to eat the same type of meat but they do...sheesh... but yeah, it should be the soup and cheese. today i ordered soup from a thai restaurant and i told them i didnt want any salt but lo and behold they can't do that as it is already mixed! so i only ate half of the soup. i could've ordered something else but gosh...the sodium and oil is just all over everything. OH and my brother's school has a festival thing going and man...i should've just stayed home.

good luck with nannying. i think one younger brother is enough for me to handle. don't stress to much. try to have fun =D

Weight Loss Is this right? May 17 2008
07:52 (UTC)

Well, honestly I don't think about the percentages of diet, exercise, etc.. All I know is that I do the best I can to eat healthy and implement a good exercise program. I'm a little surprise as to why cardio isn't that important for fat loss when it is in fact important! Just as persephone86 said. Cardio gets your body working and sweating and burning!!! Implement that with some weight lifting and you'll be in great shape. I mean, if a person exercises regularly and still eat junk food and fatty food and well...the likes, it kinds of kills the whole point. I mean in my opinion.

Soo... for the most part, maybe she's saying when you're not exercising watch what you eat. something like that?? I'm just guessing but YES cardio IS important!

Bye now. =D

Weight Loss 700 calories per day okay? May 17 2008
07:46 (UTC)

Please eat more than that! We all want to lose weight, and I damn, I sure do! But even with 700, I know in my head I would think I'm doing myself a favor but really, I know this really isn't the best way to go. It's okay to eat at your daily calorie intake since you are going to the gym and burning those calories. 4 times a week is pretty good, especially the fact that you are weight training. Don't let your body turn against you, because one day it will. It may not be now...or the next few months but all of us here do want to let you know to lose weight the proper way =D

And remember, you are a GUY; therefore, guys NEED more calories. So eat up! Eat fresh, eat healthy! You will feel better about it. Shoot, I know I want to drop all of this weight asap but at the same time I don't want to spark up another problem like my organs or what not. Umm...okay, that's about it though.

Have a good day &eat more that 700! Cool

Ooohh I'm here (21 at that). Hi ya!

* what motivates you to loose the weight ?---- Oh gosh don't even get me started on this, so many things, so many! BUT, the top will be for myself. I want to have a healthier lifestyle and live it that way. It's been so long that I have let myself go and it just makes me so sad that all those wasted years I could've done something but never really did anything for blankety blank reasons. However, I also want to gain more self-confidence and just have that feeling of being sexy. I mean I know my bf says that I look sexy to him, well it does make me feel better, but for myself...well, no I really don't. And also maybe because I didn't really give a big whoop about what I ate and the impact it had on me. I started to have less energy and just be so darn lazy! Ugh... no motivation at all, but that all changed. =D

* have you lost any yet?----Yes I have actually. I used to be in the 150s range...*shudders* and my face was sooo round! I think I even reached 160s when I was a senior in high school ohh...couple of years or so ago. And boy! My face was thheeeee roundest of all the group shots! Yikes! Now I'm leaning down to that low 140's end...and it's just the beginning.

* how long have you been on the site?----Let's see... haha..since Dec 07. But I was just blah blah blah I will do it later... -_- ehh... didn't really jump on this thing til January/February.

Sooo..... what about YOU???

Have a nice day

I set my profile too as sedentary, which I will change very soon! I wanted to change my eating habits as I eat waayyyy too much junk food, fast food, and greasy stuff. yuck. now that i have been watching what i eat people take notice to it but hey, it works for me. i also got my bf into eating healthier foods and not just junk junk junk! I have also been watching out for canned stuff and check the label...like for canned veggies...i'd rather take the frozen ones, then again there's always that fresh produce! oh, and i learned to instead eat extra-lean meat rather than the usual my parents take... i get so critical my mom doesn't even want to take me grocery shopping with her because i make her feel guilty. BUT the good thing is she's also starting to eat healthier, which i am very happy for her! she went on vacation for 2 weeks and bam! gained 15 pounds, and now i told her...i have a new exercise buddy =D

anyhoo...

wedding- It's so difficult to just commit to this whole thing, doesn't it? I know in my head I always say eat healthy, don't eat that, etc etc...but sometimes it can't be helped though! Then I feel guilty by not choosing the better choice. But, we just have to be motivated with this as well too, right? I tried the whole slim fast thing but that only worked what..2 or 3 weeks, then when i started eating right again, i mean what I do now, bam! the weight came back on because my body wasn't use to solid foods and it got used to drinking liquid. and i would always have sugar spikes AND in the end it was just a failure. Oh, man, that was harsh, it was a complete deception. Like you, and probably a lot of people, I've been reading and researching as to what compromises a "healthy" eating habits, and stuff about nutrition and what not...WHICH actually got me to thinking about taking Nutrion/Fitness for my minor....seeing I'm a business major..yeah that's not a typical combination!! But we shall see.

xzcandizx-Ohhhh vegas! i haven't been there but would love to go. My bf is going back there for his grandpa's bday and he invited me but i can't go!! ugh. soo jealous =D but do have fun and be safe. ... have you been drinking plenty of water throughout the weight? hopefully it's just salt. I too have been eating cheese..well those 50 cal ones...the laughing cow cheese! its soo good!. one a day, or sometimes every other day to satisfy my snacking dilemma.  but just keep at it with your activity. maybe the scale wasn't feeling all too good that day lol. btw, are you eating homemade soup or canned soup?

Weight Loss ALWAYS hungry, what do I do? May 16 2008

keep a water bottle next to u. it will help u feel fuller without adding any calories. in the trunk of my car i keep a whole pack of water bottles, and in room i stash 8-10. and in the kitchen, well that's where all of it is lol.

but it really helps a lot if one is very critical about their calorie intake. im like that too, i get hungry all through out the day and would just snack on and on and on...well used to. after a while i got used to the whole water thing. i drink a glass of full of water 1/2 hr before i eat, so i dont over eat, u know. hehe. well, that's all from me.

have a good day

well, i thought that email went well. lol. seriously though, xzcandizx is doing a great job motivating people and thanks for all your effort. but that was a nice push for me imho. =D

i lost my scale, i know, it's weird. my family and i were cleaning the whole house and my brother was in charge of the bathroom and now i don't know where it went and he doesn't know where he put it and it's the craziest thing... now i'm so conscious without it, i don't know if i'm over or under...urgh. maybe looking for it will help me lose more calories, ya think? lol

on the side note though, i don't understand how sometimes i feel full when i didn't eat anything at all, or i eat just a little then still feel full all throughout the day when it was only my second meal? i noticed though, i was feeling that way for a couple days, then at dinner i still ate, but only salad and i don't know ... i didn't feel bloated or anything, it made me feel better??? I have no idea! weird, i know. maybe it's all stress..sheesh.

Ahh...I feel you on the whole moving too. Just that we don't know when we'll be moving to a different house but my dad said to start packing things up when I have time. Time?! I don't even have time to hit the darn gym anymore. *sigh*... but anyway today I did have some time after I picked up my brother from school to quickly drive to Wal-Mart and pick up a copy of Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. I read it somewhere here in the forums earlier and a lot of positive reviews here and at Amazon.com...so I said okay maybe I can handle this 20 minute workout video as that's as much I can probably set aside for work out in this hectic schedule.

I hope this will help me make up for all the times I missed working out. So we'll see what happens in 30 days. lol

Last week was a bunch of....(insert word here). Now May rolled in and I will be under stress til the end of the month I should say. I weighed myself today and damn, I "maintained" the weight, but things should slow down this weekend so I should be able to push myself out there a little extra before it picks up again next Monday. It looks like most of you guys are on track even with the hectic schedule. I am not in line right now but gosh! C'mon school be over!!

Hello ladies.

I will let this week's weigh in pass. I have been sick all week due to this darn cold. I probably lost weight but that's not accurate to say since it's due to my lack of appetite so I don't want to count that.

I will check back in a week or so.

Good luck all.

Whoo! yay, finished the challenge this week today. I wonder what the scale will say tomorrow. .. hmm...

Anyway, I have been upping my intake of water and my bloatedness (is that a word? haha it is now for me) is somewhat getting better. I am guessing is from all those sodium... ugh ... Well, this challenge should really help me get rid of that! Gotta get rid of that sodium from KFC hot wings I ate today! Yeesh ... i am soo guilty!

Have a good night.

Weight Loss New To exercise... Apr 11 2008

I remember when I first worked out along with a video ... yeah, I was really sore! That's because our body isn't used to the high/low impact of the activity. At least for me I "shocked" my body by doing that. When I was sore I would do a lot of stretching to ease out the pain and prevent other injuries. Personally though, it took me over the course of one week to get used to the work out and not so much being sore anymore. I'm not an expert so to say how long a person will have to feel less sore, but if I were you do give your body a rest day until you can handle more of it. Don't over exert yourself as you may pull some ligaments or result in an injury. Every other day should be ok, but if you are really hurting, please don't do too much exercise. Listen to your body. Drink plenty of fluids to replenish your body AND it is important you at least get 8 hrs of sleep, that's when your body is growing.

Just take it easy and have fun. And remember, it is a good tip to stretch before AND after working out. OH, and don't forget to breathe, the working muscles need oxygen as you exercise.

Have a nice day!

Well, on an average day, I use the Pom Tea glass ... I buy so many of those it's filling up the kitchen cabinet! Anyway, that's approximately 13 ounces and my daily intake would be 3-4 of that so roughly over or around 64 ounces total. I mean it could be something else, or perhaps really cut down on sodium. I drink 1 full glass when I wake up, half when I wake up and the other half before leaving for school then break it down to the rest of the day. Or, I don't know, maybe cut back on chewing gum too because by chewing gum we swallow air? lol. At least that's what many articles on the net "says" or "stated"... just google it. That could be it though or perhaps change my diet and mix it up.

But I do feel better when I drink water. I don't know, maybe it's also stress? I really try to not let it get to me, I just focus on other things. But hopefully it'll go away. I'll try to cut back on sodium first and up my water intake more.

I can totally relate to being short and chubby! Sheesh! At 5' FLAT weighing 144 lbs...gosh... I don't like the sound of that. But I'm getting there. My BF said he likes me short because it is cute and I'm not fat! But I am, well, I am not doing this for him but in all honesty for myself. I want to be healthier and I already lost 6 lbs which is good. I mean if I were 5'5" or something like that, it wouldn't be as bad. I suppose the weight is balanced all over me, a little chub chub around the tummy but not so bad. =D and I do have a reason why im on CC.

Weird. When I feel stressed out or have anxiety attacks I tend to eat BUT since I count my calories I resort to fruits ... that is whatever fruits or veggies I have to snack on. But then I'm so tempted to grab other things in the fridge like a really sweet yummy chocolatey dessert. Anyhoo, I haven't stepped on the scale for like ... well I guess over a week! And lately I have been feeling so bloated, urghhh... why is this happening?

Hello ppl. Sorry I have been a ghost for a week or something ... been having a hectic week. I'm trying to slow things down at home and school got me tied down but I'm gonna try to get myself a few post or so every week now. ... I feel that I am still stuck with the same weight. I have no idea why... it's so upsetting. I run and do my cardio and drink water. It is too weird for me. =(
