Alot of you guys don't eat very much! And that's not a good thing.
I try to eat 2000 cals a day but usually end up eating 2500! :S
I'm 5'7 and weigh 140 and am trying to get back down to 130! I've gained 10 pounds in the last year, and it SUCKS! But I've been cutting back my cals and excersising so I'm on the right track. :)

Well the thing is, I have to leave for work at 9 in the morning and it takes me a good hour to get ready. So I've been getting up at 7:15 for some stretches and a jog. Then I have my shower, get ready, eat, leave.

I could eat breakfast first, but then I would have to jog RIGHT after eating and I don't think that would make me feel very good.

Someone said that jogging first thing would be conter productive? I hope not! It's really only when I have the time/motivation to do it! :S

OMG, ME!
I hate natural/organic peanut butter. It's not sweet at all! Just have like a tbsp of regular peanut butter if you're worried about calories. Here's a snack I love.

Toasted english muffing with 1tbsp of peanut butter and 1 tbsp of jam.
Only 280 cals and it's delicious!

I'm not anti social but I hate people looking at me when I jog. So my mom got me a used treadmill for pretty cheap. It's not the best but it does it's job.
Get a treadmill! Like I said, you can get one for pretty cheap if it's used. :)

They only have 250 calories, which is bad, but it isn't THAT bad.

Like if you have it with a tea then that's actually a pretty good snack I'd say. :)

No no no, I LOVE fruits & veggies!

I just hate granola and nuts and stuff, which is what I thought had all the fibre.
My mom has this fibre 1 cereal and fibre 1 bars and stuff and I just think they're gross.

The only thing I kind of like is the Kashi High Fibre cereal, it's good but I like hot things for breakfast like pancakes or toast or something. Maybe I'm too picky. :S

 3000 calories is an estimate. Your son probably eats more than he things (calorie wise.) My guy friends can eat a whole large pizza and a 2L thing of pepsi and are still the skinniest things. Age is deffinatly a factor, I would think. What I eat wouldn't seem like 3000 cals but when you add everything up, it gets up there. Expecially when you are including drinks.
If I was asking for advice, I wouldn't lie. But thanks anways! :)

Well I know I eat at least 3000 because I go out to eat once, sometimes twice a day, I eat before bed, snack alot, ect. When ever I try to count my calories I get over 2500 I'm just like EFF IT. Haha. :)

So I think I'm cutting out at least a few hundred cals by going to 2000, and adding on excersise on top of that. I'm fairly busy too, so I'm usually always on the move.

I think I would die if I had to eat 1500 a day, I couldn't even imagine 1200.
But it seems like that's what everyone on here eats.

I don't know, I guess I just want some assurance that eating 2000 is normal/fine. Haha. :)

aw man this sucks.

i have to give a speech on why parents should have a LISENCE but i thought that was too extreme so i asked if i could just do it on them taking courses.

so no one agrees?

i just need points on why it would work/be agood idea.

most are 250 - 300 cals, and taste like CRAP
its actually torterous eating them

i personally rather have a big saled, with 120 cals worth of grated cheese and lowfat dressing (30 cals per tbsp)
fills me up and is delicious for 300 cals. :D

well you should have no problem losing this weight.

cut your calories to 1500...eat more Vegan diet, avoid sugar and fat...

drink water as you go... not enough to make you go to the bathroom every hour on the hour.

Do the exercise as you stated...30 minutes a day minimum, would be all you need.

Introduce more grains and cereals..bran, psyllium, flax seeds, rolled oats, spelt flakes...eat these each day in salads or cereals or soups...also good for gaps and when the hungries hit too. There are a lot more at may health food or bulk food stores in these high nutrient and low fat foods.

 omg. i dont think i could EVER go to 1500. i live for chocolate milk, haha.

but yeah, im not chubby at all. i think im pretty average. its just i wouldnt mind being a little toned for bikini season. and im not athletic AT all so i want to be able to do excserise. so its more of a health thing then lose weight thing. :]

i am 5'7 and weigh 140 pounds, i wear a size 3 or 5 in pants depending the brand and am usually a medium in shirts.

i would like to get down to 130 pounds but not any lower.

I love oatmeal, but can't eat it because I don't want to binge.

I honestly don't get why everyone who diets loves oatmeal. 1/3 cup is 130 calories, and that's nothing. For me at least. And it never makes me full unless I have a HUUGE bowl of it with alot of sugar.

A big apple fills me up more than a serving or 2 of oatmeal does.

Honestly, I am pettrified of bugs. I can't go camping, I never swim when I'm at the beach, I never went on class feild trips that involved insects and such, ect.

If I found bugs/moths/whatever in my food I would probably die from a heart attack. And it that didn't happen I'd definatly be too scared to eat for a long time.

snack: rockstar light vanilla energy drink
lunch: veggie and cheese wrap with mustard instead of mayo from my school's caff
snack: apple, rice cake
supper: garden saled with lots of sliced cucumbers and 2 1/2 tbsp of calorie wise ranch dressing
snack: earl grey tea with a little bit of milk and one sweetner

i don't drink enough water. i didn't have any today.

Breakfast: 1 1/4 cup corn flakes mixed with 1 cup reduced fat vanilla yogurt and hot chocolate with about 8 or so mini marsh-mellows

Lunch: 6 inch veggie sub on italian herb and cheese with cheddar cheese, all vegetables, and hot sauce

Snacks: apple, banana, granola bar, baby carrots with low fat dressing, water, tea

Supper: garden saled with low fat ranch dressing and a cup of apple juice

Breakfast: I was on the run, so all I had time for was a rockstar latte energy drink, pretty filling though & 220 calories.

Lunch: blueberry bagel with fat free strawberry cream cheese, an apple and banana

Snack: 1 cup reduced fat wildberry yougurt mixed with 1 1/2 cups corn flakes and about 8 sliced strawberries

Supper: Only thing available was a lean cusine meal, it was gross. I was still hungry so I had a small hand full of multigrain chips, probably like 7 or so of them.

Snack: hot chocolate and a fat free jello thing
