I'm sure you guys realize how easy it is to fall into old habits and I have done just that. Very disappointing. Since the hip thing I stopped walking and well haven't really kept track of what I have been eating. I am more aware but have had that oh what the heck I'll start again next week kind of attitude, well that was a couple of weeks ago and still haven't got back to it. I want to continue but am generally tired, I want to come up with excuses but we all know, saying I don't know where to begin won't work, cause I do, and well maybe just one more day, hey that was so last week and why? Well I can look at pictures and tell you why. OMG I looked at some pictures from just November, wow, I was well you know. I am wanting so bad to pick up where I started but find it so hard. I am glad to see that you guys have stuck with it and are continuing to do well. I hope to jump back in and reclaim my body!!!!!!! I remember what it felt like to be so proud, you guys should be proud of yourselves keep it up. I hope to join you on this journey once again. |

Alright ladies I'm back not to say I won't go missing again. You guys know how it is. My last weigh in was over a month ago April 18: 220lbs May 23: 214lbs loss: 6 pounds since last weigh in but I didn't lose that until this last two weeks Total: Since Jan. 1st: 46lbs. Hey girls I have been really been going through an emotional roller coaster, I'm sure you've either been through it or will go through it. I'm holding steady, really loving the fact that this is one constant in my life to know that I can come back here and see that you ladies are still going strong. Nothing but positives. I'll keep going. I went to Charleston with a friend danced a little too much, did my first shots, hahaha, then woke up that following Saturday morning with hip and back pain. Been going to physical therapy and it hasn't stopped me from taking daily walks or given me an excuse to splurge. I can't wait to catch up on all you guys writings I'm really behind but wanted ya'll to know I'm still here. Let's keep going, I'm proud of you all! Oh by the way I had a blast in Charleston, everybody should get away every once in a while, it's refreshing!

It's my weigh in day. March 21: 228.5lbs March 28: 225.5lbs loss: 3 Total: Since Jan. 1st: 34.5lbs Cmiller, thanks for the kind words of advise. I've felt like I've excused his, "man like behavior" for too long. I just never, excuse my language, had the balls to stand up to it. I feel myself getting stronger and I don't want the fact that now that I am regaining my self worth, I am now worth it to him. I can't wait to feel strong enough to put it all on the table and not back down. I love him but in a comfortable way. Like you said we sacrifice so much for our families, I believe he has done this also, I also believe that he has always been just comfortable with me. Knowing that I had issue to begin with and knowing that he has had me all along, he never fought for me, if that makes since, I just always gave. If it continues I will not sacrifice myself no longer. You are a very strong women, I commend you and appreciateyour strength. You are doing great and doing great things. On another note I bought some control top underwear and some new bras that actually fit, FYI if your not doing this, do. WOW what a difference, I can't wait to get out of granny panties. LOL I hope everyone continues to do well, I hope you all continue on this journey and thanks for being a part of mine. |

Hey everyone, sorry I've been away. I've got a serious question. Is anyone else having a hard time with other things in their life because of this life change? I know thats pretty broad but I have really been struggling with other issues. I do feel more confident, more outgoing but I also am reflecting on my life so far. I always used the excuse that my husband loves me just the way I am so why do it and now that I am doing it, he know decides to tell me that I look good and he is proud of me. Well when I say he loved me for what I was, thats b/c he stayed with me not b/c he told me. There are other issues that go much deeper. But was I not what I thought I was to him, was I not beautiful then, was he not proud of me. I feel like I lost my self worth all this time and now that I'm regaining it, I want to stand up for myself and for once live for myself. I love my children with all my heart they have been the ones that have made it all worth it but I have been so numb for so long to my own feelings and my own heart, I battle everyday with the thought that I have let my own-self go for to long and just settled, not reach for what was true. I want my children to see me, the real me, the one I locked away b/c I had no confidence. I want them to grow up and be confident and realize that you don't have to sacrifice yourself to become something you are not. |

Your a beautiful person inside and out! I think the rest of you are doing a great job as well, we all have our own struggles, whether large or small and if Cmiller can keep going, so can we.

Cmiller: They are not good to your body at all. It has been beautiful outside, we've been playing basketball and soccer, it's not so hard to get moving when it's fun. So did your husband notice your efforts when came home? I asked mine if he could tell, he said yes, I asked where he said everywhere, but I think he was really just covering his you know what, or I wouldn't have had to ask him. Oh well, I'll keep going. Thanks for the reply, a good haircut really can make you feel better about yourself. Take care all! |

Wanted to update the pic. I still have the old one in my gallery. It's a good way to measure, I can't tell looking in the mirror. I now my cholesterol has been high, I haven't had it checked but am pretty sure it's much better now. Unfortunately I got those things over my eyelids x..... something I wouldn't know where to begin on how to spell it. But can only be removed by a doctor. I'll take care of that when I'm able to take care of other things that I know will need to be fixed, you know what I'm talking about. All the extra sagging parts. Hope all is well. |

Hey guys, sorry to be missing so much it's been a while. I just sometimes don't know what to say and sometimes are to busy to say anything. I've read up on everyone, and everyone seems to be hanging on strong, it's great to see. Cmiller you are really dedicated, much props!!! I had to go back and research my own progress. So here it is Feb. 11: the last time I checked in 240.5lbs March 9: 236lbs now that's just about a month worths of time, wish I had kept better track. I like that there are still people joining, those of you who keep up with this thing are doing a great service, I hope you realize that. I've dropped a clothing size! I think that when you do go shopping for clothes buy that outfit that's a little snug and work that much harder to get into it. When you feel it start to loosen, it's so gratifying.' Wonderful job everyone, keep it up. |

| It seems as though everyone is losing ground here including me. How sad. I haven't lost anymore nor am I trying as hard and I am very disappointed in myself. We took back the crappy elliptical we bought from Wal-mart and the one I want is out of reach at this time $$$. It wouldn't have mattered anyway b/c I believe I've either sprained or broken my, I guess you would call it, my ring toe. Silly me playing basketball with the kids in flip flops. I'd like to get back on track and would like for some of you to join me. We were all doing so well. I am not ready to give up!!!!!! Are you? | |||

Hello everyone, been really busy. Haven't even had time to log in any foods. I did however weigh Friday. Jan. 18: 248lbs Jan. 25: 245lbs Feb. 1: 242.5lbs Total weight lose since Jan 1: 17.5lbs Cmiller, I ate at a Red Robin Friday night for the first time and I went overboard. I had a the bacon burger and fries of course, couldn't pass up the cheese sticks and onion rings. It was all so good, all that fried fattening foods. I also weighed this morning like I do every morning and was up 2.5lbs, pooh ;) It had to have been my night of sin. Oh well, keep going right. The family got together on Saturday and played kick ball and flag football. Let me just say OMG I could not move that night and yesterday was even worse. Today is a little better. I just can't move quickly or sneeze or laugh or bend over, yeah I know, it's pathetic. But hey, I was able to catch and pull my 8th grade nephews flag off a few times, he plays football for the middle school so I thought it was pretty funny. I don't believe I would have been able to do that if I wouldn't have had started this whole journey a month ago. Who said big girls can't run. My body did however inform me of that later. I'd do it all over again. I did get some extra tender lovin' from the kids yesterday and the hubby. So all is well. Wonderful job Pouncer! I hope not to get that busy again. It really does make a difference when you enter stuff in and find out what you can and cannot eat. I'm glad everyone is feeling better. Great job on the loss. Let's keep it up.

Jan. 6: 251lbs Jan. 11: 249lbs Jan. 18: 248lbs Alright 7 days and a 1 pound loss, my fault. I've really been taking it easy as far as getting moving, but that all ends. I finally got that elliptical I wanted and wasted no time, hopped on it today and did 30 minutes. I'm hoping to get on it this evening also but that's only cause I'm wanting to order pizza. Pouncer great job! I noticed something while grocery shopping the other day. I was looking for something to eat for during the day, that's seems to be my hardest planning time. I know I can eat healthy for breakfast and have a well balanced dinner but lunch just throws me through a loop. So anyway I was looking at the lean cuisins and healthy choice freezer foods and once again was astounded by the fact of how much sodium these products have. I went over to the soups and even the lower sodium choices still account for most of your sodium intake allowance a day. On top of it all one of those frozen foods or soups is not going to be enough to fill me up, I felt like I would be setting myself up b/c I would have that lingering hunger and would be searching for something else to eat healthy or not. I mean that Campbell's vegetable beef can says for 2.5 servings, I want to eat the whole can. Anyone else suffering as I am? Everyone seems to be doing great with just trying and that's all we can do, aren't you just proud of yourselves. I am! Have a great weekend. |

| Oh no, at a stand still with weight loss. I'll keep going though. I rode a bike for the first time since I was like 11. Nothing to do with the weight loss just feeling better about things, I guess. Daughter told me when I got on, "Mom I can't see your seat." Gotta love those kids huh! About that seat, could really use one of those butt cushions right about now. Hope everyone has had a great weekend. | |||

Pouncer, it's so hard, at least for me, to eat most of my calories early on in the day, but this is what I've been told needs to happen especially if you eat a late dinner. I've tried to have dinner ready around 6 and it has seemed to help. I'll have a snack sometimes after dinner before I go to bed b/c I do get hungry. I found that those 100 calorie snack packs are really good or I'll eat a banana or something. As long as you have ate enough throughout the day to maintain your status as you workout before dinner, that's great. I found out working out late gets me all wound up and I find it hard to go to sleep. So I try to do mine late afternoon. cmiller7, I went to Applebees for lunch today and I thought okay this will be my cheat time but I got there and looked over their menu and didn't want to. I ordered their confetti chicken and replaced the rice and beans with a baked potato, it was great. It was listed under their weight watchers page and only had like 370 calories. I debated back and fourth on getting fried cheese but was strong. It felt good after I left. I honestly did not know what I was doing for dinner so I didn't want to blow it for the day. I just look at it like this, it will really have to be worth it to go over, I'm going to save it for Carrabas or Mexican. Hatcher187 I did that to, I gained a pound and was a little upset but it came right back off. Gotta roll with the punches huh? Oh, I'm pickin' today to be my accountable weigh-in Dec. 31: 260lbs? Realistic Guesstimate Jan. 6: 251lbs Jan. 11: 249lbs I'm so glad to be doing this with everyone and I'm glad to see that no one has givin up, even me. Let's keep going girls!

Alright this morning I was back down from that pound that sneaked it 's way back on me a couple of days ago, yeah. I use splenda lemon packs for my water, taste just like lemonade to me. I tried something similar to this last year and did not make it. I lasted 2 days. I felt like I fell off the wagon and it was over, I gave up. I don't believe that anymore. I don't think you fall of the wagon you just have a moment like any other pleasurable moment where you want satisfaction for yourself. We are human and we'll just have to work a little bit harder that day or the next to make sure that we don't go overboard any other time. We will have to stay on track until it becomes second nature and soon an occasional cheeseburger or an extra helping of potatoes means nothing. I'm looking forward to that day. I was thinking about giving myself an evening out ever so often, like you talked about Hatcher187. I truly love food especially starches and I know that has been the cause of all the extra fluff in my stuff. I plan on doing it differently than I would before. I'll choose a salad and I'll split that country fried steak with my daughter

| Hey everyone, I'm so excited I stepped on the scale this morning and was at 251. That's 9lbs since I started this adventure on News Years. It's great motivation and I just love reading everyones progress. I only got upset once this weekend and wanted to alert anyone who didn't realize this, to beware. I've really been watching what I eat and how much. But I have also made sure that I did not deprive myself of great tasting food. So I was out of town this weekend and was given the opportunity to go to one of my favorites, Chili's, yummmmm! Well like I said I'm not depriving myself, so instead of ordering the Country Fried Steak and mash potatoes with you know it pepper gravy, love, love, love, my 11 yr. old ordered it, I thought I was being good & ordered the steak and chicken quesadilla combo, I even took most of the cheese off & had no sour cream. I even left a little scattered on the plate. While being honest, I did take a couple of bites off my daughters plate. But anyway, when I came home and was doing my food log, OMG, look it up. I had blown my whole calorie intake for the whole day on what I had ordered by more than double. It was an awful feeling at first. My daughter was sitting next to me and saw what a few bites off of her plate had equaled to and even at 11, was aware that it was a lot. I explained the whole calorie in, calorie out, thing to her and she asked me if it was going to be okay. I had to explain to her what I believe will be the only way to be effective in this journey is, that yes it's okay but you can't eat this stuff all the time and if you want to eat it, just don't eat the whole thing, eat a salad and then split it with someone, like me! Some may ask, why didn't you choose from their health smart choices? Well, I like others, grew up on Mac n' cheese, hot dogs, Ravioli, and an occasional well balanced dinner with a God awful vegetable being shoved down my throat, like brussels sprouts or asparagus. I am extremely picky and have tried many different foods since then that I can't just stand and don't believe I will acquire a taste for. The point is, I truly hope that everyone realizes that even though you may want or even need a break it's okay. If I hadn't of had to explain it to my daughter and really think about an answer, I may not have realized it myself. I realized that I could of ordered a salad and just split that country fried steak with her. That would have been awesome. But you know what, I still ate food and I still lost weight, I will keep going. I hope all of you do to. | |||

| Hey, I just turned 30 in May. I have three children, 11, 10, & 8. I've been overweight since the birth of my first child that many years ago and have just continued to pack it on and on and on. I'm really looking forward to trying once again to lose the weight and be fitter. I do hope to hear inspirational stories and motivating words. When I took the kids this past fall to the fair, I was really sadden by the realization that #1 I could have a heart attack by excitement on a ride so I chose not to ride and #2 unfortunately I don't believe that I would have fit on any of the rides. I told my husband if I lose the weight I want to go to Disney World, honestly. I recently was turned down by a health insurance company because of my weight which was really upsetting. I play basketball, volleyball, tether-ball with my kids, I haven't let them suffer, I just want to continue to play with my children but when they run I want to be able to catch them. It hasn't kept me down, it just has inhibited me from doing more. I love to laugh and smile and am generally happy. I am just so tired of being so sore from carrying so much weight and physically, at the end the day the pain in my legs & feet are sometimes unbearable. The last time I weighed myself I was at 265. I am only 5ft 4in. I plan to buy a scale tomorrow, I haven't had one in my home for over 8 years, it's time to be accountable. I just hope I can make it. | |||
