Just reporting in.  Stayed the same for January...again. Cry

I need to quit making excuses of why I can't start watching it again... i.e. - "I'll get back on it after New Years, after my grandma's birthday, after the Super Bowl, after Valentines...I need to get back on it now!  The understanding is there but not the will.  I always get motivated after watching the biggest loser on tv and think, ok...this is it... but then end up eating pasta or chocolate while watching it and feel terribly guilty!  I don't know what is wrong with me as I did really good last year and should feel completely proud of myself for losing the 50 pounds and even if I said, "50 pounds a year" would be great but I know I have the potential to do a lot more and that is what eats at me...(I wish literally!) :)  To those that are motivated - good for you and keep it up!  To those that are not, I understand ya and here's to a good February with a lot of will power!

Hi.  Checking in with my December 1st Weigh in.

SW 442.2

CW 386.1 (not too bad for Thanksgiving and TTOM) :)

I decided I have a mini mini goal for January 1st and that is to be down to 372.2 which would be an even 70 lbs lost.  I'm going to try my hardest and finish 2008 with a bang!

Thank you for your answers.  I do have very yellow urine but drink at least 60 oz of water a day but that must just not be enough....I will have to drink a whole lot more and check the difference.

Congrats on the sneakers, Sun!  They sound like good ones.  I should get some as I have terrible "holes" on the bottom of my feet just below the toes as my feet are so dry and then they crack open. - Not fun.

Well, I will just wait and see what weigh day brings on Thursday morning.

Can you elaborate more about the weight training and building muscle Liza?  I'm so new at actually sticking with a diet this long that I don't know all the facts.  I have started adding 10lb weights with my arms while I do the exercise bike as I realized my legs were doing all the work and my arms just went along for the ride.

Ok, I know that I'll get the "everything will even out" answer but I really need advice.  I really have buckled down the last 7 days getting ready for Thanksgiving so I can have my mom's zuchini casserole and not feel guilty about it - sooooo I have been strictly sticking to 1800 calories or less each day, riding my exercise bike, 30 minutes each day and I step on the scale this morning and I haven't lost a pound...in fact I think I'm up like 0.2 lb or something.  What am I doing?  It's not TTOM and I'm getting lots of veggies and fruits to fill in those calories.  Is this a stupid question?  Any help would be greatly appreciated even if it's news I may not want to hear, I want to hear it so I can get back on my losing streak.  Thanks for listening!

Hi!  I know everyone can be pleased with their accomplishments.  The main thing is that I have gotten back on it and very motivated to see what I can still accomplish come January 1st.  Thank you to everyone for being such encouragements!

Hi Everyone!  I sure hope you all don't kick me out of this group for what I'm about to tell you.  Will someone write me and tell me that I will be ok and that I can get back on the right track???

I wasn't able to update at the beginning of this month because...scratch that, I didn't want to update at the beginning of this month because I have gained!  Gained SOMETHING AWEFUL!!!! This last month I went out of control.  I don't know what happened!!! I know I can undo what I have done but it just makes me so mad to know that the next 18 lbs could have been even lower and not re-losing them!  That's right!  I gained 18 lbs!  I knew I was eating but I didn't think I was stuffing food down.  So, my weight for October 1st is 392.6! 

I have to start thinking more possitive and I can't think of a better group to give me a little pep talk than you all.  I have started back on the right track as of Monday and already mentally I feel a whole lot better but I just have to keep on it as now my calves have swollen terribly....I went to the doctor and there are no major health scares other than losing the weight so I know that is good but I need to do this now while I can and not later when I have to or don't get the chance!  Thanks for reading all this and thanks for being such a great group!

I gotta say Sun, you are a great motivation!  There are a lot of you on here too that motivate me!  Even though I haven't been doing great since June, it is people like you on this thread that make me not completely fall off the horse.  Thank you...I know you hear it a lot but I truly appreciate your dedication and had to state it.

Once again time got away from me and I just caught myself up on the blog. 

Mark me down at 378 for my August 1st weigh in.  Hoping for a bigger number for 9/1 as I'm back on it faithfully.

Thanks for keeping me in the group!  As soon as we got home from our Florida trip on the 10th of June, we found out that my grandparents had lost their house and both cars in the flood. (We're in Waterloo/Cedar Falls IA) and so my parents took them to live with them and we all worked non-stop at their house trying to restore it until fema came in 2 weeks ago and told us that it is "un-liveable) as it has too much bacteria & mold growing so we then buckled down and I took them apartment hunting and finally found them a great senior apartment thankfully!  They are both 88 and next month will have been married for 70 years!!!  They have been through way too much!  Anyway, sorry for the rant there.  You would think with all the working I would have been losing but unfortunately with the working all the neighbors and friends kept bringing excellent food so I have not lost anything for another month but at least haven't gained yet either.  I'm back on it (as of Wednesday) and hope for a loss for August 1st.   Thanks for all the supporting comments on here from everyone.  I really appreciate this group more than anyone can know!

Hi all.  Well, if I can get my June 1st weight posted still, it is the same as May 1st. - 380.  I just got back from Florida and would have had a loss but the last 3 days of Disney World my dad and brother pitched in and rented me an ESV cause they were getting frustrated waiting for me and my mom to catch up.  So, not walking, I tried to only eat enough to not gain which I did but dissapointed with no loss for May.  I plan on having a little bit of a loss for the last part of June.  Still hangin in there.  Congrats to everyone else on their progress!!!

I know this has nothing to do with the post but forgive me.  All of you are so supportive.  I have to put our 4 1/2 year old German Shepherd down today.  He is a danger to the neighbors and never had been this aggressive until recently.  He has never been aggressive with my husband, daughter or I but anyone else he snaps at and 10 days ago he bit a woman.  She wasn't badly hurt but we know that if it would have been a child it could have been a lot worse.  We have been to behaviorists and they said the type of aggression this dog has is fear aggression which is very hard to rehabilitate.  Please think of me today.  I also have been a wreck the last 10 days eating a lot more than I should too.  So hopefully, I can get back on it and just keep the good memories we have with our "Charlie".  Thanks for listening!

Oh wow!  That's great!  I can't wait to see January 2009 figures!  Keep it up group!  We can be proud of our accomplishments!  Can you just imagine what we will look like in another 8 months???  Great job!

Definately hit a plateau for over a week this month but broke through and now am going for it.  I started my weight loss at the beginning of the year. 

I had a major incentive for losing weight as my parents gave my husband and daughter a tremendous Christmas gift of a vacation to Walt Disney World and the Ocean for 10 days all expenses paid.  We leave on May 31st and I have a goal of 365 when we go.  I can't wait! 

Anyone that has been to Walt Disney World and close to my size that could give me any tips about rides, walking or not overeating, please email me!  I could use all the tips I can get.

Anyway, I am very motivated to continue this weight loss journey beyond the trip and looking forward to January, 2009!

Very good job!  Just thought I would give you a quick motivation - I started on January 2nd at 442.2 and am now 398.6....you will find that you will lose more than 2 pounds a week sometimes since we have so much more to lose and it does feel great!  I can't believe in just the 10 weeks that I have been watching it how much better I feel!  You are doing great and write me anytime you want encouragement or just to say hi!  I added you as a buddy.  Hope you will do the same!

I went to the tools section and imputed my information and it's stating 2450 calories per day!!! Is this possible?  I'm barely loosing weight on a 1200 calorie per day diet let alone adding another 1400 calories!  Please help anyone!
