I"m cheesy, mine has to be upbeat pop songs, like britney spears, or madonna, or cher (for the old school) just upbeat, happy lovey songs or upbeat i hate you and you should die because you cheated on me songs. Good times. Oh and not to mention, i sing at the top of my lungs to those songs on my walks.

You're not sweetie. It just feels that way. I do that too (just not with chocolate, ick!). I'll eat a whole pizza, drink soda, just pig out all day, sometimes I'll do it for 3-4 days when I'm frustrated. But I won't gain any weight. I'll stay at 153 for weeks. Now I'm almost down to 151, and I'm not going up, no matter what! Just give it patience. Try your hardest, work your hardest to not binge, and maybe after a week or so, you'll see it fall off. You'll get there hon.

I'd like to ask another question about this subject. I've had issues with constipation for over 3 years. My doctor said 'eat more fiber, drink more water!'. I already had taken in 25-30g of fiber everyday, and drank about 3 quarts of water everyday BEFORE seeing him. Now it's worse! I have better luck when not eating any fiber to help relieve it. I'm scared to take a laxative for more than 3 days. But it seems I need to use an over the counter laxative once every 3 days or so to help move things along. Will this cause long term effects? Or should I go see another doctor?

 I walk 3-4 miles a day after work, for my leisure. I don't skip days, I do it 7 days a week. I think of it as my treat after work to destress myself. I sometimes do my wii fit, or other wii related exercise games as a real workout, and on Thursday nights, I go rollerblading with friends of mine. If I skip a day, or two for that matter, I get out of my habit and get lazy.

Sweet! Good luck! I'd do a last minute workout like the show does! Or just be good at everything you eat, and don't eat anything that will make you bloat! I hope you win! Did you know they have a Biggest Loser video game? It rocks, and works you like no other!

When you're on your home page, hover your mouse over 'Tools'. Click on 'Calorie Target'. There, it'll ask you a few questions about your lifestyle, and give you a calorie target to work by. Keep in mind, that if you exercise quite a bit a week, your calorie intake is going to be higher than say, mine, who only walks 3 miles a day.

I have low blood pressure, so my doc actually told me to eat more sodium than normal! And with tuna, I honestly don't care how much mercury is in it! I'll eat it til i croak! With a bit of miracle whip light. Nummy!

I read textbooks.... I'm weirder! Doesn't matter what kind of textbook. I read from psychology to random math books to history books... I even do the problems in the book!

I have to get out of the rut of being lazy. I get home from work and just do nothing. It's annoying. Or I get soo busy with chores and random things in my life, that I forget to take my walk! My walk is key to me losing weight. I don't know what it is about my body, but if I walk 3 miles at once, my body drops about 1/2 a lb by the next day. It always has. So I gotta keep up with that! Oh, and of course not overeating. My mother recently moved in with me after losing her house, so of course, she's making these 3 course meals. I can't resist! It's not my fault that my step dad needs 4500 calories to function! Haha. But lets do this!

I play my Wii everyday. Whether I'm playing Jillian Michaels, Wii Fit, Wii Fit Plus, Biggest Loser, Wii Active, or I'm playing someting low key like De Blob, or Mario Party 8, I'm always on it. The workout games I compare to the workout videos of the 80's (Buns of Steel anyone?) They work as long as you keep with it. Currently I'm getting my butt kicked by The Biggest Loser game. I like the fact that its not just you moving your hands holding a controller, but you are throwing your arms around and flinging the wiimote at the screen or at different sides of the room to show movement. It just takes motivation and an interest in video games to actually make sure it doesn't collect dust. And hopefully you don't get bored quickly with games (my problem). Besides, everyone loves the old glassic Nintendo games, and you can download those on your system too!

Does it matter that my GOAL weight is in the 120/130 club? Right now I'm sitting at 153, and it sucks major. I've been so sick, so I've been bad at my exercises, and my diet. Boo me! Anyway. I used to be 120, but I got real sick, and the pain killers I was on made me balloon up to 165 or so. I was down to 140 last year, but guess what? I got in a car accident, and back on pain meds. Boo pain meds! No matter what happens, no pain meds! I'd rather suck up the pain than deal with those nasty, addictive, evil bottle of pills! Anyway. Hi! I'm Tabi. I'm new. And I need motivation. Did I mention I'm awesome? Lol. I am, but that was me just being a nerd.

Ugh, I agree. Yesterday in fact, I bought some Haribo Cola Gummies (my favorite mind you) because I can never find the little buggers, and thought, 'eh, i've been a good girl, lets reward myself'. Big mistake that was. 500 calories later, I felt not only sick to my stomach, but I ate about 1,000 calories over my normal goal. I ate 2500 calories yesterday alone. Ugh. But today is the start of another day, and come hell or high water, I WILL be a good girl!

Wow, I'm sorry to hear that hon. I know I have no clue who you are, but it still sucks being dumped. If you want, you can have my boyfriend. (I'm not kidding either). He won't leave you. EVER. I was actually a good girl for the weekend. I walked like crazy, did a bunch of cleaning to keep myself moving, and even denied ice cream! But today (Monday) isn't going so well for me. I've eaten 1,100 calories today alone, and it's not even dinner time yet! Ugh. I had a craving for Taco Bell. I fought it like crazy, but my lunch was taken out of the fridge at work, so with no lunch, I crumbled. It was WONDERFUL though. I'll just have to eat a light dinner, or work out more. Either or. But I'm still losing, which is wonderful. It's a step in the right direction. I'm currently down to 156.4, with my goal weight of 140 (or 135, haven't decided yet).

Well Hello! I just got back from an hour and a half walk. I walked up to my mom's work and back. She works about 1.5 miles away from my house, and was craving a Diet Coke. So I walked around her hospital as she made her rounds with her in the air conditioning for half an hour. Boy am I tired! I think I deserve TV time now!

I know I'm a bit late, but does anyone mind if I join? I'm currently 156, and want to get to 140. I'm 5'7", and 24 years old. I'm trying to just get back to a healthy weight (even though I look like I'm a healthy weight).

I'm your height, and when I was in high school, I was 110 lbs, and people called me skeletor because of how skinny I was. I couldn't gain weight either, and I was all muscle. I'm now 155, and I'd never think to be back to 110 again. That's a really unhealthy weight, and can cause a lot of problems down the road. If you build muscle instead of fat, it'll look good. I'm sure people are calling you fat as a joke, they did it to me all the time. Good luck.

Me... not so much! I'm still eating well, working out (missed 2 work outs due to appoinments/busy days though). 

Ironically I went to the doctors for a cough and she noticed a few funny things in my symptoms and asked me to get some blood work done too... they are checking my Iron, Vitamin D and any Thyroid issues among things ect... then at the gym that day a woman pointed out she's seen me working out a lot but I've gained a little in the middle (we were having an open weight loss conversation and I mentioned having had no problem in the past but this time I am gaining weight doing what has worked before) and she too mentioned a Thyroid issue so who knows. It would answer my questions. Doesn't make sense to have a healthy diet and excercise program at 24years old and be gaining weight rapidly. 

 

Let's just hope it's not a parasite, I mean baby! Sorry, watching House reruns! But seriously, that's something that would make your belly get chunky while losing weight...

I'll hop in. I need 10 lbs by May. I start a new job next week, so I don't know what my calorie burned will be with it, but here's my stats.

 

CW: 155

GW by May: 145

Calorie Limit: 1500 Max

Exercise: Don't laugh, but I do 30-60 minutes of Wii Fit every day, and will be walking 1 mile to work everyday

Water: About 3 quarts of Green Tea a day.

Seriously! Ladies! Please tell me what this magical medication is! I would kill to be on a medication that makes me not want to eat instead of the current meds i'm on that make me CRAVE food! (Maybe they'd counter act each other!)

When my doc finally said, lets give you a supplement, in july mind you, i was already intaking 30 grams on my own with no issue. So he wanted me to take more.

 

My gallbladder is fine, they checked for that in january, march, august and november. I was at the doctors office at least once a week to try to figure this out with them.
