Sorry I'm just trying to understand this because that would mean that if someone was there just on holiday and gave birth whilst there the child can have dual nationality? This couple will be there on a visa only they don't have right to stay just guests in the country. I am having a little trouble letting that sink in...
edit : OK I have looked around and I guess I'll have to just believe it and correct my mistake tomorrow with the girl at work.

Well it's actually the states, it was a girl at work saying friends of hers were going over there for 3 years but the baby she is expecting will be born there and she was adamant that the baby would have dual nationality however i argued that the baby can only hold an American passport if one or both of the parents are American otherwise they can only register the birth with the British embassy. However i just thought i'd check in case i was totally wrong in saying that to her. |

I don't see anything wrong in what you said you aren't being any more stereotypical than the other girl is for the simple reason you don't know the names of the guys you have seen leering at women so you and her did what everyone does and use a descriptive word to enlighten people about who you are talking about. It's over sensitivity and PC gone daft I have had this argument before that only whites can be racist and it annoys me no end! I used to work with a girl from south africa and she had more issues about her colour than any white person had about it... You had to tiptoe around her otherwise it was "it's because I'm black isn't it!" this became so dull that If she said anything against Scotland or whites I retorted "it's because we are white isn't it!" she soon started to see the point I was making. I use that phrase quite a lot now if I got flamed for daring to make a comment about another ethnic group I retort with it. People need to realize that to be racist in the actual meaning of the word you have to have a hostile attitude or behaviour to members of another race, based on a belief in the innate superiority of one's own race.

perhaps your family are being cruel to be kind and feel that continuing to nurture your anxiety is doing more harm than good. I would imbrace this oppertuntity to confront your anxiety head one and start taking control of it instead of it controlling you. You can take control back, it's learned behaviour and therefore you can retrain your brain out of it. |

I don't live in the US so I am not going to comment on laws etc but, you need to take positive action to reduce your stress I would suggest you drop one of the jobs at least. Stress is the biggest of the silent killers in the world don't allow yourself to become a statistic! You know what you need to do. |

I have been told to watch my pooch doesn't put on weight after her op i do feel for her when i put her rations into her bowl it looks so meagre but she seem to be surviving on it ok. |

Well I can't speak for animal husbandry in the US but here most food bugs are actually down to consumer error in the form of storing it wrong, poor hygiene when handling it etc. Factory farming was banned here years ago, farms have spot checks done on them by officials and are scored for animal husbandry even down to the farm dogs. We have had major health scares over here with mad cow and foot and mouth both of which were attributed to human error mad cow was caused by dairy cows being fed bone marrow in their food for example. Our rules here are strict so I won't stop eating meat anytime soon. |

I don't know why people are so concerned about this flu, to average joe it is a mild illness no worse than a bad cold so why would healthy people be worried by this? And if all the at risk people get injected then they shouldn't be worried either, if i get it and an at risk person catches it off of me then it's not my fault it theirs for not taking the injection against it and protecting themselves.

I won't be getting it because over here only those in the at risk categories are allowed it the rest of us have to get on with it. But i wouldn't get anyway unless i was at risk. |

So you can log your weight -- which allows you to do the following:
