this has been a pretty terrible week for me, I have been moving in to a new place and all my dishes are packed. So i guessed i used it as an excuse to eat fast food. I have been trying really hard to drink enough water, but when you eat junk I guess it doesn't matter. I am sort of thinking, what with all the additional exercise (moving bags and boxes up and down the stairs)that I will still lose some or at least stayed the same. Well here's to a new week after this weigh in.

weight: 254 the heaviest I have ever been!

current: 248

goal: 173 - 183

background: I am single.  I have two beautiful girls, one that's a teenager and the younger one lives with her dad.  I love to eat, but then I end up feeling guilty when I eat poorly.  I overeat when I am alone, I don't like to overeat in front of other people, so usually I end up eating less when out with friends.  I don't really have a support system because the friends I have (whom I love dearly) don't understand what is like to struggle with your weight.  I want to get control over my bad habits and I realize the first thing I have to do is be honest with myself about what those bad habits really are.

ok I guess it's my turn.  I started cc on 1/3 at 254 and am down to 248.4 so that is 5.6 lbs.  I am very happy with that.  I have been logging every things I eat and trying to stay between 1300 - 1500 cals per day.  Last night I had a few drinks with some friends, I thought about the weigh in and I didn't eat anything so as to stay within my range. It really made me stay accountable knowing I would have to hop on here and put in my weight.

Everyone is doing such a great job!

I am glad you organized this challenge as well and keep up the good work with your cal intake.  You should be proud of yourself for sticking to the plan.   I can relate with the binge eating it's hard not too when your used to doing it, but you just keep working at it.

I think I am doing pretty good as well, if I stay in my calorie range I am usually not hungry.  I have been finding ways to fill my time when i get home at night after dinner so I don't just eat out of boredom. 

 BTW: I quit smoking 9 months ago today!!

Good for you waterwalker.  I hope this serves as a reminder to all of you that you have a support system here if you use it.  I know it does for me. 

I bought a workout program for the x-box called yourself fitness by prevention magazine it's been out for a long time but I had never heard of it.  It programs workouts based on your fitness level.  It even keeps track of weight and fitness progress.  I am going to start with just a goal of 15 min a day, but this morning I did 20 plus the fitness eval (which was tough and should count as working out too).

Ok, maybe you all can help me. I get up at 6am and it's dark outside. I get home after 7pm and it's dark outside. So without a gym and being a single female what am I suppose to do?  There is no way that I am walking around alone when it's dark. I am motivated to start doing something but when?? The weekends of course, but I would like to do something everyday.  Any suggestions?

I was able to quit 9 months ago by taking Chantix as well.  I would certainly recommend talking to your doctor about it.  I have heard some negative things about taking with alcohol so I would not suggest drinking while on this med, but I am sure your doctor has more info about that...
