Well my birthday was March 2nd and I seem to have extended the celebration for two weeks...today I finally got the nerve to weigh in and I was at 182.6 (lost .4)...so it wasn't as bad as it could have been. I don't have a clue why I couldn't pull myself together. I enjoy eating healthy, I love my homemade salads, spaghetti, and of course lunch wraps but once I got started with chocolate (you know the real chocolate...peanut clusters, cake, cookies, etc) and added in fried chicken breast, mashed potatoes, steak...let's just say I went crazy...opps...oh well today is a new day and things are back on the right track...I even started exercising last night! |

Total loss for this week 1.4 pounds...I think I need to actually exercise if I want to see the 2 pound loss again...for some reason it is much easier to watch what I eat than add in the exercise...I must be lazy... Why do I use so many ...'s, I wonder if there is a ... anonymous club or something...maybe a 12 step program to get the ...'s under control. Seriously I think I have issues... |

Well yesterday we had freezing rain, then an inch of sleet and freezing rain to follow that...talk about nasty...thankfully it didn't stick to the tree's this time otherwise we would be without power again...stupid weather. Oh to top it off I live on campus of my work so I can't even get a day off from the deal. Figures... I wonder how many calories you burn by sliding down a frozen hill on your butt? Do you burn extra calories from walking in the snow or on ice??? What about scraping inches of ice off a car? |

I cheated...(ok I cheat almost every day) this morning I stepped on the scale and saw 187.0...nice little surprise. Now I've lost 12 pounds since Jan 3rd, not to bad for that TOM (which should end Wed. just in time for official weigh in day! Random: Oh and I found out I am 5ft 6 in...I thought I was 5ft 4in...nice little surprise Great news: I have been able to give 2 pair of jeans to my sister and 4 pair to a lady at church, YEAH!!! They have both been losing weight and carefully watching their budget, I'm glad they can help me with my over stocked closet of jeans! Paige, I totally know the feeling, regardless of the scale number I just feel fatter (is that a word?) some days. (usually that means I need to poop...maybe you need to eat some prunes GRRRRRR EDIT: I must have been dreaming...I'm only 5 ft 5 in...sad day |

Rave (yet slightly mean): My friend has been backed upfor 3-4 days and ignoring my suggestions of diet until today at lunch, we had salad. I, however, am basking in the glow of regular poop deposits because I eat better, healthier foods...maybe I should get her the book "Everyone Poops" for a little inspiration. maybe I should have labeled this bragging... ...I just heard her head to the bathroom...maybe this is her time to "let it all out" |

I don't know the answer to this but my friend is dealing with the same thing right now so I can't wait to see the answers... Edit: I bragged that my lunch was already through my system...she growled... |

Odd Rant: Why was I a dingbat (Do you all even say that word?)? I was feeling kinda adventurous this morning and decided to try on a few clothes I haven't worn in since...well the beginning of time (exaggeration I know). Anyway I get some pants out and realize I have like 10 pair of jeans all size 14...what in the world was I thinking??? I don't even get to wear jeans very much...I think I must have thought the production of jeans was going to cease and therefore needed to purchase a life time supply (of a size I won't be wearing for long). Man and to think I went to college... |

Well, another pound gone...not as good as last week but with all the events (2 birthday parties and Superbowl) I am happy there was still a loss. It sounds like everyone is sticking with the program. Great job everyone! Keep it UP! |

This weekend was pretty tough...Friday I was more hungry than I ever remember being before...I could have logged my day but decided not to. We also celebrated two of my good friends birthday's and the Superbowl...YIKES! I weighed this morning and I was at 190.2...gained a pound. Through this week I will get things back to normal and hopefully still lose a pound from last week. Oh and this month I am adding in exercise to my schedule. Woo Hoo! Random: we ate at Applebee's and I ordered the deal thing with an appetizer-cheese sticks, main course-steak w/mashed potatoes and mac and cheese and dessert-chocolate oreo shooter (I should have chosen something off the weight watchers menu). Let's just say my stomach (and the rest of my body) was mad at me for at least 12 hours...mental note to self after eating well (or at least better) that much grease/fat/calories will make me grumpy and more gassy. To those of you who indulged this weekend, start this week off with me by at least drinking 64 oz of water today. Thanks everyone for your support and keeping us informed with how you are doing! |

My friend and I are doing the same type of thing with % of weight lost...the person with the most % of weight lost wins and the loser has to buy the winner a new outfit...nothing spectacular or too expensive but likely something from Kohl's, we both like to shop there! Oh our ending date is 5/31. We also are setting little goals to meet...I met my first goal (reaching 190) and had a leg wrestling match with her (I love to do that because I usually win...which is why it is a prize for me). Next is manicures I think... We aren't really in this for the competition as much...it is more for the accountability. We are both trying different approaches... she is mainly exercising (still eating most of the same junk but with hopefully smaller portions) and I have been focusing on healthy eating (adding more exercise this month). So far we are both at about .5% |

I'm pretty excited since today is my OWID (Official Weigh In Day) and we haven't decided on one to post here AND I worked off 1.8 pounds for a total of 9.8 pounds since Jan. 3rd. My heart is so happy!!! This is helping me with self control and discipline. Now granted I'm not at my goal yet...but I think I've mentally won the battle so the rest of it seems to just be a matter of time. I hope you ladies are excited about your OWID! |

I've noticed the same thing, as I continue to put my current weight in the date gets closer to my goal date. I'm assuming Calorie Coach guesses on the low side so we don't get disappointed or have expectations that are unattainable. |

| Well I officially weigh in on Thursday's and lost 1.2 pounds this week for a total of 7.2 pounds. I'm pretty happy about that and plan to increase (ok to start) my exercise this week. In a week and a half I will be taking my measurements to compare. Until then I'm excited about the changes in the numbers and I actually think my goals are attainable. (yesterday, however I was in a terrible mood because my weight had been the same for 4 days in a row...that should have taught me a lesson but most likely I will still weigh myself every day) | |||

Done...finished...and I made it...wow you guys have "ranted/non-rant/raved" more than any other group. Simply amazing! "(That being said, does anyone really ever like their scale?)" I love my scale as long as it keeps reading lower numbers each time I get on... I have a non-rant/rave...Wednesday after church I was talking with a friend who's on a protein diet (6 servings of protein each day) she was sick and tired of eating meat. I told her how much I loved counting calories, how satisfied I felt at the end of the day and how easy it was to keep track on this website. I tried to get her to join (maybe soon she will) but she was going to keep trying her diet for a few more weeks. Anyway at the end of the conversation she said "I'm glad I'm not suffering alone" and then corrected herself "wait I guess you aren't really suffering." I just smiled...I really do think this is the safest way to do things and feel like I have been more educated through this website than I ever expected. Not to mention the encouragement!!!! |

mlshores79 & lilsmiter I think we are about in the same boat...I am getting ready to turn 29 in March and decided this was enough. I started counting Jan 3 weighing in at 199 now at 197. I still have over 60 pounds to lose so I won't be going anywhere for a while... |

| My name is Jennifer; I live in a little town in Missouri. I’m almost 29, slightly over 5 ft 4 in, and just barely under 200 pounds. I’ve chosen to make a few lifestyle changes with adding exercise and counting calories starting January 3, 2008. I’ve set monthly goals through the end of May at 169 pounds. Each week I will evaluate how things have gone and reassess if needed. Things I’ve learned: Drinking 8 or more cups of water a day isn’t as hard as I thought it would be. I actually like celery (even without peanut butter). 1200 calories is enough to satisfy. Congratulations everyone for choosing to make healthy choices in 2008 and for the future! …now please excuse me I have to go to the bathroom…it seems when you drink more water you have to go more often.. |
