height: 5'7 or 5'8, i need to check.

weight: 145.3 (down from 158 in january)

goal weight: 125 - 130, depending. the date is tentative, but i'd like to be at least down to 130 for the end of august this year.

i am actually able to get on here today! and i'm glad! i'm one pound less today? water weight. but it's fine, haha. i still like seeing lower pounds.

yes you will be at 140s! and so soon!

caramel corn rice cakes with a bit of peanut butter. yummm. anything with peanut butter = a happy me.

aaaand the skinny vanilla latte from starbucks. it always makes me feel good.

(i won't be able to get on tomorrow)

i ate terribly yesterday (panera bread, starbucks, aaaaaand taco bell... jeesh...) and it's ttom, and i'm still down .2? i'm happy. haha.

i'm SOSO happy with that. especially since i ate chinese food last night, and i really wasn't careful about anything...

down 10.2 pounds since jan 2nd.

Thank you barkatt. I will jump  up to my 1550 or so that is my BMR and see how it all goes. Maybe this willlll get me to work out more often to get a larger deficit.

march 8: 149.1 -- yayyy 140s.

total weight loss for this challenge: 7.9 lbs

i'm happy so far. but the past two weeks or so i've seen no change. i'm getting frustrated.

Yes... but two weeks that I can't get back/could have stayed the same or lost... dunno. Scares me.

 

I'm not starving myself at all, but I will try this for the two weeks and hopefully it will not be a waste. (: Thank youuu.

Thank you for the reply. I've lost 8 pounds in January and February. From 158 to 150 (five pounds in January, 3 in February). I've been at 150 for two and a half weeks, though. And I've tried eating at maintenance for a day or two, hoping it'd get me off the plateau... but it didn't.

I guess I can try doing the BMR thang for like, two weeks. See how it goes. I just... NEED to lose weight for the summer, for myself, and I get worried about 'wasting,' two weeks.

153.4... still up. ttom, plus 150% of my sodium yesterday. so i'm hoping next week will be really good? we'll see.

Oh, gotcha. Thank you again.

I had a coffee fribble last night from Friendly's (I know, not the correct way to fill up my calories... but it was SO good), and I'm down to 153.5 pounds. Do you think the plateau is over from just that one day? Or should I do one more day at maintenance?

Thanks justjulee. I'm eating enough, I'm almost sure. I am sedentary except for the time where I'm intentionally excercising. I eat back the calories I burn on the days I do cardio, so I still have about a 500-600 calorie deficit. :)

Thanks 1kkatt so much for responding. It's not period weight, and I'm pretty sure the calories are fine. I'm sedentary besides my gym time.

And thanks feanor... I was really unaware you could hit a plateau after only 5 weeks of dieting, and only a 5 pounds weight loss? Ugh, and going up a pound before my body decided to plateau is a pain.

I guess I'll try eating my maintenance level... ah. And I do workout 4-5 days a week. Maybe I'll up it. Maybe. The 1200-1400 calories was just for my nonwork out days. I will usually add whatever I burn to 1200 and eat 100 calories within that number for the day.

I'm sorry for bumping a second time, I know it's incredibly lame. It's just really driving me insane and stuff (I was 154.2 exactly, once again, this morning, too), and I wanna know if there's anything I'm doing wrong. Any help at all is sooo appreciated.

2/9: 154.2

:( I really don't know what's going on. On 1/26 I was 153.3, and then on 2/2 I was 153.2. Which made me mad to begin with, because I had done really well. And then when I got on the scale Monday, I was 154.2. And I've stayed at exactly 154.2 ALL WEEK. I've done so good, and I have no idea what's going on. It isn't water weight, because I've been 95%-105% sodium all week (which is amazing compared to the usual 175%-200% I get). I'm eating the correct amount of calories. When I work out, I adjust my calories correctly. I've had a 3600 calorie deficit this week. What the hell. I'm really sad.

It's not muscle weight. I don't gain a solid pound of muscle from a total of like, an hour of pilates. I don't get what's happening. I could understand being up from a hardcore work out for a day or two, but this? I was expecting to be in the 140s by now, something I haven't seen since like... freshman year. I'm so angry.

Sorry for ranting, haha. I'm just really completely lost.

I was expecting it to be lower, but I lost almost 3 pounds last week, so I'm not complaining, really. Plus I worked out, A LOT, this week and did strength and not just cardio like usual... so it could be some muscle weight. Who knows.

i'm not exactly sure what constitutes good fat vs. bad fat, though, really. i don't know. researching that would probably help me, i'll have to do that this weekend.

thanks for the quick response. 

eh, i don't think most of it's "good fat." none of it is coming from chips and cookies and stuff. peanut butter is probably the only "good fat" i have. the other stuff comes from cheese/mayo/random stuff. i have bacon a few times a week.

um, i'm only getting an average of like, 70 grams... (17%)....... which i know isn't as high as it probably should be?

Goal: 125-130.

It looks like a really big loss (at least for me at my weight and height? dunno), but I'm just pretty sure that a lot of my weight from 1/19 was water weight. But I'm mucho happy. I've done really well with my calories this week, but didn't work out at all. So, hopefully this week will go even better if I'm working out.

snowfence: yeah i did work out a lot this week so maybe that's what some of the weight is from. :) i also just remembered that ttom is coming in two days, so that has to be where some weight is coming from, too. so that makes me feel a lot better. (it wasn't COMPLETELY makign sense to me how i gained almost 2 pounds in a day, haha.)

 

i read that about the water, too. i drink so much though... ah! it's how i try to stay full, lol. i easily drink close to 12 cups a day. uh oh, haha.

): I was 154.5 on Wednesday? So I'm hoping this is all waterweight pr something... (even though I had a similar amoutn of sodium compared to other days during the week?), because I've been decently good about what I've eaten and had a weekly deficit of 3579 calories. So, I'm confused. Oh well. At least I didn't go up I guess. But I worked hard this week. ): Darn, haha.

Good job talkdoc :) I think (thought? lol) I'm getting the hang of it too. It's beginning to be easier, kinda. :)

thank you both. yeah, i did know the 1200 minimum, but iiii dunno. alright. 1800-1900 just seems like so high compared to lately - i haven't eaten out forreal in like a month and a half, haha. but thanks, this makes me feel better/more reassured.
