Hi Supersized and Gang! I am going to bow out of our forum. I am not jumping off the wagon, but I am working full-time, going to school full-time and still trying to be mommy and wife....while I could probably log in my own goals, I won't be able to be a motivator to anyone else. Thank you so much for your support during the short time I was a part of your group.

Good luck to everyone!!!! Kiss

Supersize: I didn't feel like you were discouraging me at all! I appreciate the honesty. Laughing That's part of the reason I'm here! Thanks again!

Hi Supersize! I guess the one I am closest to reaching is the working out. I generally make it atleast 2 x's a week so, I would love to succeed at 3x's a week. I guess my top ones would be the working out and the water. Kiss

msmeg1984: You go girl!!!!!

Hi everyone! I totally agree with the weekend struggle! That is always my worst time.

I did awful last week with exercise and food wasn't much better, but I'm back on track this week. OK...12 week goal.....

By 12 weeks I want to be consistent with working out 3 times a week, drinking 69oz of water everyday (including weekends) and eating healthy meals and snacks (approx 1500 cal.) atleast 6 days a week.

If I did that...WOW I would buy myself a pony! LOL!!! Seriously, between work and school as of August plus my family....I will be really proud of myself if I do that! Kiss

I think all you guys should be proud of yourself! Just being in this group is a step in the right direction! Way to go! Laughing

What area of your plan do you most need to improve to meet your goals? How are you going to do it?

Hi! Just checking in quickly! I'm back from vacation, but very busy catching up at work. I did ok...lots of walking. I'll pop in again later and reply more.

I most need to improve on my consistency with exercising and I am just going to buckle down and do it. I have a friend at work that is helping hold me accountable.

By the way....Canada was great!

Kiss

Hi Supersized! I thought the price for the ferry was crazy too! We'll go some other time when mula isn't so tight. LOL! I would love to see Toronto! I'll add it to my list! Kiss

To Raven21 and Supersized: I am heading to Vancouver with my mom (from Florida), hubby and 3 girls. We were going to Victoria, but the Ferry price for all of us quickly changed our minds. LOL!!!

To Supersized: I hadn't really thought about the goal setting that way. You make a great point. Perhaps I'll change it from rewarding at a loss of every 5 pounds to rewarding for "staying at it" every two weeks. Thanks for the advice!

Kiss

Hello everyone!

I have really enjoyed being part of this group (even though I struggle to read everyone's posts and I'm too shy to jump in and converse with everyone). I'll try to do better and to step out of my shell more. Embarassed By the way, I'll be on vacation next week (Canada!!!) so, I may not get a chance to post. I'll try to get in there, but if you don't hear from me....I'll be thinking of you. Cool I am going to do my very best to keep up with all my goals while on vacation.

THIS WEEKS QUESTION:

What is your consistency plan to be on the wagon in 1 month?

Your consistency plan is how you are going to be following your weight loss, health or maintenance plan long term, it may be something like: I am setting 2 week goals, every time I am on track for two week's I ________.

As far as my consistency plan for weight loss......I am going to do my best to eat between 1200 - 1500 calories per day and I am going to keep my regular workout routine of 30 minutes of running 3-4 times a week and start adding some weight lifting and maybe even some yoga.

I hadn't really thought about a reward system as I go along. The only real reward I have planned is to buy myself a cool, private tattoo when I hit my goal. LOL!! I think everytime I hit a 5 pound weight loss, (I liked that idea in the earlier post someone else did) I'll treat myself to something like a manicure or new clothes.

To be honest, I haven't weighed myself since that time that I gained the two pounds after working so hard. I understand that muscle weighs more than fat and all, but it was hard to deal with. That was on June 16th so, I plan on weighing myself on July 16th. I was very excited to hear that my husband is starting to notice that some inches are coming off. Laughing YEAH!!!!! I have also noticed my pants are just a little bit looser.

Super-sized: If there is anything I can do (or stop doing) to make this forum easier for you...please let me know. I have NEVER posted on anything like this before so, this is all new to me. I'm happy to help in anyway! I'll even volunteer to help check on people if you like, but I am still pretty new so, whatever you decide. For the record, I think you do a fantabulous job!

NOTE: Planning for weight loss and planning for consistency are different things.

Your weight loss plan may be something like: I am going to eat _____ cal/day and exercise for ______ min ______ days per week.

Hi Supersized and everyone else! Happy Birthday!!! Cool This week has been much better and very busy. I am still working out and still watching what I eat. I haven't dared to step back on the scale, but I have worn three pairs of pants that didn't fit before. I am scared to get my hopes up so, I am going to wait about two or three more weeks before I weigh again. Trying Yoga for the first time on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! Kiss

Thank you, Supersized. Sorry about sounding so negative. I was just expecting more. It's nice to not be in this alone and you're right.....this is my first time working out in YEARS. So, I'll be patient...atleast, I'll try to be patient. LOL!! Kiss

These Weeks Topics

How to forgive yourself for slip ups? Lets expect that there will be a few over our collective long weekends and figure out how best we can plan and how we can get over it if we do go off plan and not let it derail us

This is my check in. For the most part I am doing everything I said I would. I have been working out about 6 times a week and doing my best to eat right, but I am pretty upset because, I GAINED 2 pounds instead of losing. I am pretty discouraged right now,but I'm not gonna give up.

As for the topic, everytime I slip up...I just start fresh the next day. If there are continuous slip ups, I make myself sit and take note of what is happening at the time and how to get it under control.

HAve a great week everyone!

Hi Wagon Jumpers!!

Just checking in! I have done OK so far with my first week. I worked out Monday and Wednesday and I have been doing my best to do portion control. I am VERY tired this week, but I think that's just me getting used to getting off my butt for once. Embarassed My super healthy brother-in-law is visiting us and he is giving me alot of tips (sometimes too many...hehehe) but it is actually helping me.

As for our topic this week.....I am not too much of an emotional eater, but I do eat when I am bored or if there is a social gathering I tend to go overboard. The working out is helping with some of that. I have also started trying to bring a healthy dish when I go to a pot luck party. That way, there is always something I can fall back on. Other than that....I'm not 100% how to always handle those situations.

It's easier on a day I have worked out because, I just ask myself if all that sweat and pain is worth giving up just to eat whatever is tempting me. Most of the time the answer is no. I don't want to do all that work for nothing.

Well, have a great rest of the week! Kiss

Hi Wagon Jumpers! I just wanted to introduce myself. I am 30yrs old, happily married with three beautiful girls. Like so many others I am  struggling to lose weight. My biggest enemy is myself. I really want to become more active and eat better, but I allow EVERYTHING to turn into a road block.

My first goal is to do something active atleast 3 times a week and get my tush off of the couch! I have 55 pounds to lose and I'm not going to get anywhere if I don't REALLY commit!

My second goal is to start making smarter choices in what I eat and not giving in to every little temptation. I have a HUGE sweet tooth that REALLY needs to shrink. LOL!!

Nice to meet everyone! Kiss
