I've been offline and haven't been able to get on the site at work.

Unfortunately we are on an uphill slid.  The knee is an owie and the MRI is Tuesday.    It isn't getting better and has gotten worse.  May or may not need surgery.

I will do better and try to remember to log the weight next week.  Hopefully I will lose the 5 lbs (water mostly) that I have put on since the last time I weighed

I'm at 178 and frustrated - I was soo close to breaking into the 160's.  I can't do any exercises that require bending the knee.  Frown

173 - its going slow, but at least I lost the 10lbs in water I gained over the weekend. (I'm not suppose to be trying to have at TTOM anymore!  My toesies looked like little squat, plump sausages all last weekend.  It was frustrating!)

On the bad side, the Dr thinks I've damaged the meniscus on the inside of my left knee.   Have to wear a knee brace for the next few months and take ibprofen   If the pain does not go away, he's talking MRI.  

On top of that, I have heel pain on the same side.  Planter faci whosiwhatsis (I'm too tired to look up the spelling)

Unfortunately, that means no more knee bends and squats for a while.

 

What a bummer :(

Hi everyone! 

Hope your knee is feeling better papa.  

Wild- I'm glas you like your treadmill, I have an incline (it was free) and it hates me. It tends to stick so its becoming a clothes rack. 

Haven't been around except to post on the new loser thread.  Busy with work and school - actually passed the marketing test on Saturday.  Algebra and other nasty math stuff is next - my absolute worst subject.  I have trouble keeping track of numbers.

Weight is down to 173.5 !  Its slow, and I keep plateauing, but its moving.

Temptation is going to be a big problem for the next few weekends.

Company picnic tomorrow, 3 parties on Saturday, a benefit on the 6th, fundraiser on the 13th and another bbq on the 20th.  I have to make stuff for all but the fundraiser-  arrrgghh!    If I only didn't tend to taste test!

Gotta go back to trying to study the math ick.

I'm sorry, I forgot to weigh in  yesterday.  I've been studying for a test I have to take next Saturday and I forgot!

I did post it on the link but it wont count.  Good thing for that, I'm up .5 from last week.

Hi

only a 1/2 lb loss this week.  Sitting at 175.  That is a full 21 lb loss since 3-15 when I really started working on it.

 I missed my goal for this month by 6lbs.  Next month goal 165!

175    only 1/2 this week and I didn't break into the 160's like I'd hoped.  But I did keep losing.  Next Month - goal is 165!

I found a link thru the main site shapeupshop.

I sent them an email advising of the issue.

 

It told me the same thing - 720 and to to cut 750 to lose.

175.5    a 1/2 lb loss.  Getting closer to the 160's!

I really think it is a little more than that but I'm really retaining water right now despite my medications.  The only time this ever happens is TTOM.  However I haven't had TTOM in about 6 months - Dr thinks I'm in menopause.  I went 15 months a few years ago with no TTOM just massive PMS for the duration.

 

This is a pain in the butt.

On the happy side, I got to have pizza tonight.  Flatout lowcarb whole grain flatbread, toasted in the oven. Topped with 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce, 1/2 cup of mozzarella, green peppers, onions and pepperoni and back in the oven for about 8 min- it was awesome!

I figure it was about 380 cals and about 18 digestible carbs- I've been having trouble actually meeting my calorie goals while keeping my carbs low (sugar and starch make me very sleepy)  I've been eating peanuts at work but they are giving me massive tummy issues.  Apparently these are not a good thing to eat when you don't have a gallbladder :(

Ha!   My name is not Grace but that is exactly what my father always called me when I:

- tried to walk thru the doorway and ran into the door jam - at least once a day

- tripped and fell on a perfectly flat, clean floor

- go to sit and miss the chair

- try to walk up (or down) the steps and miss. 

and many other unexplained little mishaps.

At work - (L shaped desk) open the desk drawer, turn away from it, forget it is open, then stand up, turn around and run right into it. OUCH!!

Every time I do something like this, I can hear him say it again:   "Way to go Grace!"    (Good thing he's in another state these days!)

Unfortunately, I still do these things. I think my brain gets distracted - or bored and wants to liven things up!

"Could I have this Dance" by Anne Murray.

We use to do this as a duet at  karaoke.  In 2000 we were doing this on stage and he proposed during the instrumental break.  It was funny, half our friends were OMG!  the other half were WTF?

Since then, that has been our song.   He will actually insist on dancing when its played - generally have to drag him on the floor these days (where did my dirty dancing hotbody go? lol)

Hi  elle0809, welcome to the challenge

Letsgetitstarted,  Zenasavvy. Wildntaken- glad we're on the same team again.  Happy to be back. Got more to lose this round. 

Hope you all had a good holiday.  I was suppose to do some major cleaning since I took 3 additional days off, but spent too much time on CC and looking for a nice dress for a wedding (finally found the perfect dress today at jcpennys. Size 16 but 4 months ago it would have been an 18.    I'll post a shot next week after the wedding) 

Back to work tomorrow - at least it'll be a 4 day week for me.

My start weight was 179.5 which is a total of 16.5 lost since I started in March 2008!  39.5 to go.

My dogs turn their noses up at these unless they are properly cooked in the skillet just like mommy & daddy's.

We don't feed them from the table.  If there are left overs that they are allowed to have, they get mixed into their food. 

Once they see their dishes up on the counter, they go insane.

Apparently turkey is also bad for dogs - they have trouble digesting it.

I feel bad now.  My hairdresser has been doing my hair for almost 20 years now.  I followed her from her old shop to her new one 10 years ago.

I get a cut n color and eyebrow wax (she talked me into it) every 8 weeks for $89.   I give her $100 which is an $11 tip.  I try to give her more during the Holiday months (generally in 2x between Sept and Jan). If I am broke - I bake cookies.

I'm not rich and she knows that.  She knows that sometimes I cannot afford to even come in.  I am incapable of doing my own hair (brain understands, hands do not comprehend - I cannot even use a curling iron properly! lol)  and I wont go anywhere else - she knows my hair.

Guess I'm going to have to cut something somewhere to tip her better.

Oh - if there is a shampoo person, I either leave $2-$3 at the wash station. If I'm paying by check - I add it and let my hairdresser know how much and she takes care of it.   Most of the time she does it herself (small salon)
