Start out with something like a healthy carb with a protein in it...ie: oatmeal with wheat germ sprinkled in for added protein and fiber, a scoop of protein in it, or a high fiber cereal such as uncle sam, fiber 1, kashi, apple with natural peanut butter...etc...make it your biggest meal of the day so that by the end of the day you arent famished.  Try to eat first thing you get up...even in your pjs! You have to wake up your system!  Also, try a natural cranberry juice with water in it so wakeup your intestinal system...your body will thank you!!

Ask her about the importance (or not importance) of eating whole foods vs. perserved frozed etc.

Also make sure you get ideas for when you are on the run and dont have time to make a glorious salad etc etc..

Ask about your personal needs, not myths and what you have heard via email or whatever...every body is different.  I need to eat every 2-3 hours to keep me going others go all day and dont eat. Figure out through this nutri/dietician what you should do...

supplements...vitamins ABCD etc etc :) and the importance for you....IE women are usually low on Iron...maybe you need something extra that you arent getting in your food...

good luck. keep us posted on how it goes!

The best quote that I have ever heard about dieting and food is...

"Eat to live, not live to eat"

Think of food as nothing but fuel for your body.  Why eat crap when it doesn't fuel your body efficient.  Your body is a temple and it should be treated that way.  If the food that you put in is junk and not of high worth, well guess what, you are going to feel like junk, not able to perform your day,  and even appear not as glowy as you once were.  I'm learning just as much as everyone else, but I think that I finally am grasping this whole food thing.

If its not "real" food  (ie: fruits, veggies, sweet potatoes, pure chicken etc etc )  90% of the time its not worth putting in your body.

Dont forget, you should be fueling your body every 2-3 hours.  I know it sounds like alot of food, but when its whole food, it doesnt matter...check out my cal count if you can get to it...its tons of food!

We all can do it.  This is hard work, but we didnt get to where we are overnight so dont expect it to come off overnight.

 Believe.
