Hey ladies, I'm Mandy.  I am 28, I know almost 30.  I am trying to lose around 70lbs all together.  I could really use some motivation.  I love food and food loves me.  I am tired of being a size 18.  I want to look like I did in highschool!!!

What you are experiencing is very normal.  I worked in a physical therapy place for several years.  You have to be patient.  You want to push yourself some but you don't want to over-do-it because that could set you back.  Your muscles around your knee are week and stiff.  The physical therapist will get  your ROM back.  That is why you are going there.  The SAQ are to help strengthen your quads.  As your quad muslces attach to the knee if they are weak then they don't hold your knee in place and you have knee problems.  Quad sets also help strengthen the quad.  It all just takes time.  Good luck

I was really beating myself up after supper.  It was not good.  I was so hungry and I just kept eating.  I have exercised all three nights like the 12 week program said, my problem is we are very short on money and whatever is cheap in the grocery store is what I buy.  I have a family to feed.  We live in a really small town and it is 20 miles to the nearest Wal-mart or grocery store.  We have a local grocery store but they don't carry a lot of the healthy foods.  In fact really nowhere close carries the foods you see in the health magazines.  It's easier when you live in a big city like St. Louis.  You can find such a better variety.  Here you settle for what you can get.  So that is a major struggle for me.  I'm so frustrated.

Hi everyone.  I am 28 5'3".  I used to weigh 120 back in highschool.  Oh that was so long ago.  Now I am 199.  I refuse to get into the 200's so I am going to try this.  I have dieted many times and lose but then I do good and let myself go.  I really need to lose some weight so I have more energy and a better self-image.  I look forward to meeting all of you.

I got an elliptical a couple of months ago from Wal-mart and I love it.  My husband watches a lot of movies so while he and the kids are watching movies I hop on.  I have really bad knees and it doesn't hurt them at all.

Hi Emily,

 I am 28 and need to lose around 79lbs.  I have done the whole lose/gain and then gain some more.  I am really hoping this works.  I started the 12 week program yesterday and I could really use friends also to keep me motivated.  I have 2 children that keep me really busy and sometimes it's hard to find time for myself.  I have decided that no more excuses this weight is coming OFF!!!

I am not a new mom, my son is 4 and this is the heaviest I have been.  I keep telling myself that it's because I had problems during my pregnancy and ended up gaining 40 in 2 weeks, but 4 years later, come on that excuse only works for so long.  I started the 12 week program yesterday and I have so many questions.  Like why does my calorie count say only 1500/day when my BMR that I did today say at least 1678 calories a day.  I am so confused, and as you know being a mommy you don't have time to figure this all out.  I also have a daughter that is 9.  Does anyone know what all these numbers mean?

I am a big binge eater.  I started this today and I am already hungry and trying to keep myself from eating everything in sight.

I am having the same problem.  I am starving!!!  This is why I fail everytime.  I have drank 2 1/2 bottles of water today and have snacked on carrots and grapes, but I'm hungry.  How do you get the will power not to eat!!!
