up up and away! lol just kidding haha 129.5 so i haven't really been sticking to the SBD lately due to lack of groceries, trying to pay off my credit card was kind of draining my fridge lol but as of 2 days ago, i got a full fridge now, YAY!! Also, i have been paying for LA Fitness for like....the last 3 months and haven't really had time to go after work since my daughter is in school now...and dinner...and blah blah blah. SO! I decided to make a move for myself and cancel my LA Fitness and found a gym near work and signed up for it yesterday so now i PLAN on going during my lunches mon-friday. Today will be my first day at the gym and i have to meet with the trainer. He wont be my personal trainer but i guess it comes with 2 free training sessions for him to kind of instruct me on what i should do to get where i want to get so praaaaaaaaay that i stick to my workouts and make it a habit...finally! Lol I miss you guys but its kindda blah to come and log my weight going up so i think i have been staying away on purpose. Sorry. =) I hope everyone is doing well and Nanamoss....I am sooooooooooo sorry. I will pray for you and your family! |

Hi guys sorry i havent really been on here but thanks for the encouraging words! I still have been really bad with carbs lately since i STILL havent gone grocery shopping for anything other than meat lol Anyways i hope you guys are all doing good!

I really need to get back on track! I have been eating nothing but carbs! and thats really bad for my body. ugh. I need to go grocery shopping is what i need to do hahah and fill my kitchen with meats and veggies and fruits! |

materialgirlpt78- try spices on your chicken =) there should be some listed in the book of what is allowed. all else fail just go through your spice rack and try to play with some herbs. =) |

materialgirlpt78-read the first couple pages so you can see what you are allowed to eat in each phase. any questions we will be able to help you. Its a good eating habit to follow south beach...i don't see it as a diet really...just a healthy, smarter way of eating. Good luck hun! thanks guys, i guess you're right its just normal for me to expect weight still going down since I'm not consuming as much as i used to you know? but yeah i guess it will fluctuate. thanks! well, I'm going to Hawaii in exactly 2 weeks and now I'm debating on if i should just stick to phase 2 or i should go back to phase 1? i gained back 2 lbs but it went down this morning so today is....131.6. Maybe it’s been just that kind of week for everyone. I’m not sure if its because I have been working out and muscles weighs more than fat or is it because I haven’t been drinking as much water so my body is retaining water OR if its just I have been adding fruits/carbs back into my diet and my body just flat out doesn’t like it....but I haven’t even eaten as much as a serving of carbs a day...but I gained back 2 lbs. not very happy about that...esp. with weigh in being tomorrow grrrr =/ Wish me luck. |

My daily menu: Breakfast: 2 egg omelet with bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, 2strips turkey bacon, V8 juice. Midmorning snack: jello OR fruit OR string cheese Lunch: good size hearts of romaine salad with tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and light Italian dressing with a chicken breast patty. Midday snack: jello OR fruit OR string cheese Dinner: some type of lean meat with lots of veggies as a side. I am in phase 2 so I'm trying to add in a little carb, but not so much...just concentrating on adding fruits for now. I had 5 bites of rice yesterday with my meat though and i did ok. =) Evening snack: NONE
oh! and LOTS and LOTS of water with benefiber |

nanamoss maybe you need to eat more? you may be eating too little? maybe add in a couple snacks so you can keep up your metabolism going all day and your body wont get in starvation mode? I'm not sure how much you're eating from your list so this is just my guess. good luck honey |

I agree with nanamoss, I weight daily too but I just don’t log it into CC or anything and it doesn’t stress me out, just keeps me on track. The important days are our weigh ins on Thursdays whoo hoo. Sorry guys, another question. So since I get bored with preparing lunch everyday heheh is it ok to eat smart ones TV dinners or is that not recommended? I know I’ll be able to eat more than just salads since I am able to slowly add back in carbs...I can make sandwiches and so on but just wanted more options. Thanks! I'm so looking forward to adding fruits back! |

Hey ladies...so I'm supposed to be finishing up my phase 1 on Tuesday and start phase 2 on Wednesday....I'm kind of nervous about adding carbs back into my diet and my weight just totally going overboard..... can you tell me a little about how your transitions were? Thanks sun123, i just looked at your profile too and WOW! You have done so well and really look amazing!!! Great job! Okay...i don't know why but yesterday and today has been kind of hard for me (day 4&5) i mean its only 5:45am and I'm already craving some carbs...and have been since yesterday. But i did good though. Didn't have any. I think carbs is a hard habit to quit...especially if I'm Asian and grew up eating everything with rice or noodles. and all the thai food basically need rice to eat it with. Kindda weird eating stir fry without rice lol. I love omelet but i think I'm getting bored of it. Any ideas for breakfast or sometime instead of salad for lunch everyday? Dinner I can manage with some meat and veggies. I'm on phase 1, help. Good thing is...i only have about a week to go yay. Have a wonderful day everyone. |

Thank you nanamoss! I get excited to check CC everyday now because you guys are so encouraging! Also....i wanted to share a tasty salmon recipe...super easy and you are even able to eat on the SBD phase 1. 1 salmon fillet (1pound or over) 2 Tbs of Mayo 1 Tbs of Soy sauce All you do is mix the mayo and the soy sauce (taste it and add or subtract to your liking) in a little bowl and set aside. Rinse the salmon and place on a foiled jelly roll pan Cover the top & sides of the salmon with the mayo & soy sauce mix Take foil, fold in half, and make a tent to cover salmon so the top wont burn Put in oven at 350 degrees and wait. Cook to your liking. It's nummie! Eat with some veggies (and brown rice for phase 2) and you're set! Enjoy! |

I hate shopping for jeans....or anything for that matter. at lunch I went to try on bathing suits at target and it was not a good time. lol I just look short and stubby...and thick. and whoever said those string bikinis work wonders for all shapes should get beat up! jk hahah geeze. |

oooh that sounds super yummy nanny! umm not really sure how you guys do the weigh in...if I just type it here but July 16 was 138.00 lbs started SBD July 21 @ 137.80lbs and today weigh in @ 133.6lbs I think my body is starting to like the SBD or either that my body didn’t process carbs good because for the past 3 years I have always bounced between 138lbs and 135.6lbs but it wouldn’t budge past that….hopefully after the initial 2 weeks my body wouldn’t fiend for carbs so much anymore. p.s. I’m only 5’ age 26….short I know. lol |
