| Fitness | Anyone had done or is thinking of doing a triathlon? | Dec 11 2008 20:31 (UTC) |

My first triathlon was in September. It was a sprint tri. It was such an amazing experience for me that I am signing up for an Olympic style triathlon. The greatest gift I took away from the training was that I never thought of it as exercise. It was fun getting out there and cross training. I trained with a friend and we both did all three legs of the triathlon. Have fun! |

My work has a keurig and you buy single serving pods of coffee. There is a variety of flavors. My favorite is The Winter Wonderland which is caramel coffee with sugar cookies. The coffee maker is so nice I got one for Christmas and it is a hit at home as well. |

| Wow, you have received a great deal of responses regarding this issue. I wanted to share my situation....I was 18 when I got married. We were young and in love. He was in the military and in order for us to be together and get into military housing we had to be married and so we did. We had an amazing relationship that lasted 9 years. Then something changed. He got out of the military and we both went to college and grew apart. We tried another 3 years to make it work. Unfortunately, I thought that our marriage would last a lifetime. Our divorce was finalized a year ago. | |||

| Most mornings I have egg beaters - or egg whites - 3/4 of a cup (which makes a lot) for 120 calories. A slice of toast (80 calories) with butter (50 calories) and a lot of salsa. Usually .25 or more of a cup (30 calories). It fills me up and it's usually under 300 calories. | |||

| How funny....I am reading this as I pour salsa all over my lunch. I use salsa on a lot of my food choices as well. It adds a ton of flavor. Salsa is a great trick for those who are counting calories. It adds lots of flavor and is low calories. | |||

| 3500 calories equals 1 pound. I'm thinking that the truly dedicated biggest losers are probably burning that during each workout during the show. Crazy! | |||

| I love finding people who are the same height as me. I went from 175-180 to now 149. It took a lot of positive self talk to stick with my lifestyle change. It was really helpful for me to include everyone in to the fact that I was choosing to make better choices in my diet and exercise. As people started to see my progress (ie..all of the weight coming off) I actually started to motivate friends and family around me in doing the same. | |||

| I think that a lot of us go through the challenge of sticking to our goals (calorie wise). Don't beat yourself up. Try to keep in your mind why you want to reach your goal by March 14th. Think of all of the positives of how far you've come and where your goal will take you and make you feel. Don't punish yourself by eating less calories the next day, that will only make you hungrier. Just start over, tomorrow's a new day. | |||

| When I went through my divorce I lost a lot of weight. It's called the divorce diet. You become so depressed that nothing really matters, food is the last thing that you want to think about. | |||

Figure out what type of eater you are and you might just find the answer to permanent weight loss.
Take the Diet Profile Test and learn to avoid the pitfalls and self-sabotage that often come with your personal profile.
