Hey all,

Welcome Erin:)

Thanks for the encouraging words lately. Have yall played the new game system called Wii? Omgoodness I got one and have a bowling, tennis, baseball and boxing game but to make it work you actually have to do the movement such as boxing the air, bowling a ball, batting and playing tennis. It's so awesome, fun and stuff me and the kids are doing inside while staying active.

I have a boxing gym close to the house so I'm going to check it out. I think taking out my agression would be a great idea. Maybe my gym even has something available.

The weather hasn't been the prettiest here in TX so I'm thankful for my Wii. It has kept me up and going. My women's daily vitamins are definately giving me a boost which I'm liking.  So far I haven't gotten on a scale and good lord have yall watched WWE wrestling? So they have these hot chicks on there showing everything they have and I say something making a comment like yea and I will ever look like that and my husband goes well if you would work out then you would. I don't know but that wasn't morally encouraging. Oh well I guess he is right and I've gotto get myself going.

So here is to a good weekend coming up eventhough many times lately I'd love to just go get drunk and forget it all......

Ladies,

Thanks so much for the encouragement. It's really boosted my spirits. Well this weekend both my daughters turned 6 and 8 so we stayed active and I chased them all over outside and walked a ton. It was something and just being with them and outside felt great. I got plenty of vitamin C.:)

I haven't made it yet to the gym yet but I'm working toward it. My attitude seems to be better and we are working through everything. I got my house organized, got rid of plenty of clutter this weekend so I'm feeling good about what seemed ever so looming over me. Now I feel that with my house clean and somewhat back in order I can focus on myself. I'm so ready to start losing. I haven't gotten on a scale and I don't plan on it. I'm just trying to be way more active, take a womens multivitamin and keep going.

Instead of getting the regular frozen lunches for work I made better choices and got lean meals for the week so my lunch will be better. So cheers to the baby steps I'm taking all over again and thanks so much for being there for me.

Hey yall,

Well I'm back from being in my cave. These past few weeks have been tough. I've lost all motivation, my clothes fit so tight I just really feel fat and not sexy at all.

To top it off and what has really sent me in a downward spiral is 2 wks ago my hubby and I got into a fight. He left and told me he was going to his sisters to stay the night. The next day I had a sick feeling so I went by there and he wasn't there so I drove to his best friends home. I found his truck and before going to the door went to look in his truck to find his wedding ring in the center console. My heart sank and as I went to the door I prepared myself for the worst. His best friend opened the door and I went in to find my husband in his boxers laying on the floor with some chic! I came unglued! She had all her clothes on thank God! I got her up talked to her and then threw her out. Then later dealt with him.

She was this skinny probably size 6 blonde so now everytime I see myself naked I have an image as to everything I'm not. It's taken me to an attitude of I just don't give a damn and dont care anymore. I'm hurt, sad, and upset still but he came crawling like a dog and has been so aplogetic and is doing anything and everything to try to make this work and assure me I'm everything he wants. How can I be if he would do that to our marriage?

So I'm fighting all of this and have started taking a multivitamin to try to help and some advanced fat burners. I just need a new way to maybe get out this agression and help if you can.

So that's where I've been and everything I'm dealing with. I haven't even set foot on a scale and feel like the point I'm at right now if I was to see a number that made me sick I'd just say screw it all and really do nothing. Any suggestions?

CryWell here I am from hiding. I so haven't wanted to come online and post because I just fell off and feel like the 7 pounds I lost I'm sure I've gained them back.

My eating just went to crap and making the bad choices was like all I could do. I added real cokes back in and it just went downhill from there. So, my size 14 jeans are still feeling tight and I've had to buy a few size 16 clothes.

So I'm starting over. I haven't gotten on the scale yet and man I'm scared to see where I'm starting from. But hey I guess we all have to start somehwere. My belly looks bigger than ever but man I haven't feel as good as I did when I was working out so I gotto get going. It's good to hear that I haven't been alone and we can all get back on track.

Ok so let's all just take a deep breath and a step back.

Welcome Vpireiner! We were doing awesome and I have fallen off the cliff but I'm climbing back up. I haven't weighed in it feels like forever so I'm scared to see what that says. Last month though I lost a total of 7 pounds. I totally feel like that's found a way and attached back onto my ass but who knows.

I did a lot of walking this past weekend showing new homes eventhough I ate crap. Now I'm stuck on stopping every morning on the way to work and get a 44oz regular coke:0 My choices have definately not been the best.

Foxylady stress can be the number one cause for falling off. I take wellbutrin and prozac and I know without my meds I'd be a total basketcase. I have severe anxiety, depression and worry but with my meds things seem much smaller. I feel fatter in my stomach than before and with that I just seem to give up. Having 2 c-sections and now having the little tummy that's there and doesn't seem to go away I get so discouraged. I gotto get back into reality and get a grip. It's only 1 day screwed up and tomorrow I can make better choices and do much better. This is probably so dumb but I get stupid jealous if my husband watches like Tyra banks or models on tv cuz they are hot and I'm not. My hubby says he loves me and I'm the only one for him and the only one he wants but then why the heck do men have to oogle other skinnier damn women? It just puts more pressure on me and seems like that is what he wants.

So I guess I need to get to the gym and weigh in to see where I'm at again. Then I should go from there.

Way to go Kelly! That's awesome that you've lost. So here's to us starting from today and working forward. Love you ladies and I'm so glad you are here:)

Well eventhough it's not the best news I'm glad to know I'm not the only one that has like fallen off the side of the cliff. This past weekend just sent me over. I added the 44oz regular cokes all the time and just eating junk food and man I feel fatter than before.

The workouts aren't there except walking the stairs here at work so it's been tough. I gotto get back on track! Lots of stresses around me right now though so it's way tough. I haven't even gotten on the scale and I'm afraid to see what that says. What if I gained all my 7 pounds I lost back! I will be way discouraged!

I think another thing that's bothering me terribly is that I have nice dressslacks a size 16 and those used to be loose and are now tight on me. My blue jeans are a 14 and fit ok but are getting snug. Help me to get back on track!

WAY TO GO SAMIAZ!!!! A suggestion I have for maybe adding water to your day would be to mix the Crystal light on the go packets in with a bottle of water and if possible carry it with you when you go. Calories aren't to high and it makes drinking water much easier for those of us that can't stand water(Pointing at myself)

Haveyjb-Way to maintain! Alteast no gaining there. Thats a positive.

Ever have the weeks where ya just feel fatter than you did? Man this week is like I just feel bloated and it sux. Maybe hitting the gym later will help.

 Welcome to you newbiesSmile

Happy Monday All! Man this weekend went by way to fast. Well I weighed in yesterday and I stayed at 195. Thats with me messing up and adding in a few regular cokes and not eating so healthy this weekend.

I'm getting back to my workouts and am going to make myself go atleast 4 times a week. I loved seeing the weight drop 7 pounds last month so maybe this month I could do 5lbs.

Have a great day and I will chat later.

Hi all,

It's so great to have yall here. This week has been good but then from wednesday I have missed my workouts and have only made 1 in at the gym so far this week. I'm going later tonight for sure! My girls have cheerleading then I need to fit in some me time. Also I need to get my weigh in so I'm excited to see about that.

I had regular cokes yesterday so that was a No No! I ate good though. Chicken breast brocolli and a little bit of macaroni and cheese. My grade for all I ate yesterday was a B and I did walk the stairs here at work. That includes the regular cokes. Today though i'm back on my one diet dr pepper and the rest water for the day.

Way to go Jen! A pound lost is just another out of the way!

Haveyjb-Isn't that dance revoultion game awesome? My kids have one and we just play around on it a lot. They get a kick out of laughing at me because I'm much slower at it than they are.

Rabavert001-We still allow diet drinks in the house and I make a lot of tea for the family. We have slowly changed everything that way it doesn't seem so drastic. I'm the type that if it's a forbidden fruit then that makes me want it evenmore. We have added having apples and bananas around and then some more healthier snacks if the kids want something. Then they still feel like things are the same but there are just more healthier choices available for them.

Innocent_sin-When I post my swimsuit pics you will see I used to have 6 pack abs and dang they were hot. Now that I've been working out the outline for them is still there and they were just hiding also under my blubber.lol I can't wait to see them all the time again. It's going to be so great.

I'm taking my before pics this weekend with my digital camera and will post them sunday I hope. I'd like to have them to see where I need work. Have a great Friday

Anyone else here agree with me that what doctors say doesn't always seem to correct?

Inoccent_sin-I agree with you about the whole BMI. My deal is that I'd be fine weighing 150 number wise but know that muscle weighs more than fat therefore maybe possible making the number stay the same but look hella toned up. When I was younger around 18 I weighed 135 and that was way skinny for my height. I'd now be comfortable with 150 but the goofy charts at my doctors say I need to be 135 or I'm obese.lol Don't ya just love that word? Obese-pisses me right off.lol From your pic I think you are looking great. Keep up the good work.

Many people carry their weight in different locations also. Lastnight I watched The Biggest loser and there was a girl-Britney that started at like 203 and is now down to 189 from lastnights weigh in and I'm like well I weigh 195 and look skinnier. How does that all work?

So, for now I'm still eating right and just working out. I'm so dang sore but I'm going to keep going and hope to get a workout in tonight. I told my little girls I lost 7 pounds last month and they both know I'm working hard on mama now and they were so excited for me that they started squealing out of excitement. That reaction just makes me more motivated.

Anyone have any good motivating news or anything good going on? OK so I'm going to be crazy and I want to put up a before and after swimsuit pic. Maybe I could see some results that way.

Hi All,

Well I got in a workout and man I'm so sore today. It's good though because atleast I can tell I did something. Well I start February and hope to accomplish a loss of 5 pounds this month. Instead of looking at the long road I've decided to take it a month at a time and if I can manage losing 5 pounds a month I will be so happy.

I'm at 195 now from 202 so 150 here I come.

Waddope Congrats on making it!  How much more do you want to lose??

Welcome Rabavert001-Nice to see a fellow Texan in here. Life is tough being a single mom as I was for 5 years just before getting remarried this past year. My hats off to you for trying because it's hard work to work, lose weight and be a single parent.

JenPrays-Yea the exercise will help a ton. Start off slow and work your way up to it because if you go full blast in the beginning you could get overwhelmed. Soreness the next day and sweating are good things.lol Something I'm having to tell myself.

Talk to yall soon.

Good Morning Ladies,

Well I didn't get my weigh in until today and I'm down to 195. I lost 2pounds last week. Totaling 7 pounds lost for January! That's is so awesome and just this weekend alone 3 different people that saw me asked just out of the blue if I'd lost weight cause I'm looking better!

Man now that's some awesome motivation! We went looking for cars for our anniversary saturday but haven't found what we want yet. We both want trucks but they are expensive.

Congrats all of yall for sticking with it and losing! We are going to hit our goals. Today was planned much better. I have my lean cuisine here at work and baby carrots for a snack. Diet dp for the caffeine and then I'm pushing my water. Hope you all are having a great monday. Did you see the Superbowl? Hooray Giants!

Welcome AmberlySmile I hope we can help you. Everyone here has helped me a ton to stay focused and know if you screw up one day then all is not lost you just go again tomorrow and do better.

Haveyjb-I still don't own a scale at home and I kind of like it that way so I can't be getting on it all the time. It keeps me having to go to the gym for my 1 week weigh in.

Innocent _sin-Yea I really try hard to make sure I account for all I eat and keep it logged in that way I can see where I need to improve and how I'm doing. Like my day the other day-eventhough I ate terrible I logged it all in that way I could see it. I started at eating on a D- level and have now picked it up to a B and sometimes a B+. That motivated me to do better each time.

Jen You are awesome! For the month of January I totaled losing 5 pounds. I didn't make it to the gym this morning so I will have to see where I'm at later on tonight when I go or tomorrow early morning. I really try to weigh in the morning. I think you get a better real number so I may wait till the morning to weigh in but I'm hitting the gym later tonight after work.

Tomorrow is my 1st year wedding anniversary. No plans other than we may go buy a new car. I guess we will see. Take care and all have a great weekend.

Good Morning Ladies

Well I bombed the eating yesterday but hey today is a new day and so far it's going great. My weigh in is tomorrow so we will see how that goes.

Samiaz-Just in my opinion you get a much better weight number wise if you are naked rather than have the extra weight of clothes and then the weight of shoes. I normally weigh myself in the morning at the gym while running to the shower in the locker room, I don't add anything for the towel I have wrapped around me but that's the only extra thing I have so I get a more accurate weight number wise.

Any of yall have a George Foreman grill?

I got a big one and man it's awesome. The extra grease drains off so it's not there for you to eat and then the meat is done in minutes. It's made my life so much easier and makes the meat or what you eat leaner. Then all I have to do is worry about the veggies and any other side dishes. It comes with a book that tells you how many minutes to cook the meat so you don't burn it up.lol

So for those of us that have a busy life in the evening with kids, working out and would like to eat quickly but healty try to get one. We had chicken breasts green beans and mac n cheese for the kids and it all was done in 15 mins tops.

Wishing you all a successful daySmile

Paige

Hey Ladies! So great to hear from yall and your successes. Even if it's 1/2 a pound rememeber you are losing so be excited.

Today for me I have no clue as to what is up! I have totally bombed my eating! I've eaten 2 paks of mini muffins, 1 oz bag of ruffles potatoe chips and then a hershey milk chocolate bar!

CryAGHHHH I feel like I'm starving but here at work have nothing healthy but my salad for lunch and I feel like I'm just starving trying to make it to lunchtime. Poor planning on my part for not having fruits here but then again sometimes hell I just want some chocolate and a real chip. I'm going to work out at the gym later but that's no excuse. I bet today will hurt my weigh in for friday. Dangit!

Something though I did want to share is my size 14 jeans are getting looser. I may have to start wearing a belt because I'm having to pull them up all the time when I walk.

Haveyjb-yea my hubby is really a great support and I think it turns him on evenmore now. I can say our sexlife has increased a lot in this month.lol Maybe overtime your fiancee will be more healthy focused. It's not obsessing it's just making better choices.

Meg-Congrats on your loss and I love your myspace. Have you checked out mine?

Foxylady-Yea jeans can be so tough because in one brand you maybe able to wear a 12 then the next are made so dang small that you have to go to like a 13/15. It's pretty frustrating but I'm holding out.

Welcome Maysy and gigigalaxieSmile. Can't wait to stay in touch and hear about your success.

Today is by far my worst day I think on the bad eating. I was doing so good but hey I get to start over tomorrow and make better choices the rest of the day.

Congrats Missea1! You are losing and not gaining so that's great! Sure we'd love it to fall off fast but hey it's coming off.Smile

I went and worked out with my husband this mornng and I cheated and got on the scale before my friday weigh in and I am still at 197lbs. You know I was excited and have the outlook that atleast I'm maintaining and not gaining. I guess we will see how my weigh in friday goes. So far i keep telling myself that since Jan 1st I've lost 5 pounds and that's awesome to me. That's the only way I can see progress because my size 14 jeans are still snug on me.

To get to move into a 12 will be great then lower and lower. I just have wide hips from children so I'm not sure if that will ever allow me to go lower in size. Anyone else experience this? I mean we can't shrink bone to get into a smaller size.

Are yall married? If so are your spouses supportive? My parents are close to my new hubby and my mom told me the coolest thing yesterday. My hubby told her that at first he wasn't to sure I would stick with going to the gym but I've really showed determination and he is so proud of me. That was great to hear and just very encouraging.

Good Luck Lin!

Runnergirl-How did the date eating go?

How is everyone? Man what a full weekend. I had a sick baby with a stomach virus sat but then she started feeling better. This weekend we went to the Stock show and rodeo so the kids had a blast and we did plenty of walking. I didn't make it to the gym sat or sunday so I'm hitting it tonight.

You know I've done pretty well on only weighing in once a week because I'm the type that if I don't see the number results then I will just say forget it an go downhill fast. So I'm pushing myself not to count on the everyday number but rather how I'm feeling.

I didn't eat the best this weekend. It was filled with hot dogs at the girls game, chicken fried steak and then some fried burritos so I bombed for the weekend but today I brought salad for my lunch for the week so I should start at a better point. Hopefully we will see some results friday. Mother nature has left so now shoot maybe I will have lost a pound or 2 just from that being gone. Good Luck ladies, It's great having yall here:)

Hey Yall,

Sounds like we are doing rather well going into the weekend. I wanted a regular coke so bad this morning but I did good and chose a diet dr pepper. Here at work I've been eating the weight watcher smart ones meals and they are surprisingly good and healthy.

Kelly-Muscle weighs more than fat so the numbers may not go down but you may be able to tell a difference in how you are feeling, breathing, and if you can tell things are toning up.My goal is to lose weight numbers wise and so far from jan1st starting at 202 I'm down to 197. I first started out walking for like 2 weeks minimum a mile and am now hitting the gym. It is getting better and better each time I go and I see I can add some weight it's awesome. To me it means progress and then the scale drops only like a pound a week but thats still good. Keep your head up and just don't give up. It will come off.

Runnergirl-I so know what you mean about going on dates and girls not eating or ordering a salad. You know depending on where you do go they might offer grilled chicken and veggies. That doesn't make you look like the high maintenance salad girl but is still food and is healthy. Suggestions never hurt.

I need help when I'm out on the go with my kids and we have to go thru drive thru does anyone suggest anything healthy from any menu maybe you have tried?

Hey all,

Man what a day! My youngest daughter wakes up sick with a stomach virus, then my oldest comes home from school cause she says she is sick also. It's amazing though that once she got home she had a miraculous recovery.lol

Tonight is my workout. I've been doing really good about going and not missing the gym. My hubby is still greatly supportive and I'm feeling better. My insecurity is still there and I have to have his reassurance that he loves me rather than wanting some barbie doll girl that is already at her goal.

I got my results from my thyroid test and my diabetes check and both are clear. So now all I gotto do is push the hard work and stay at it. I was at 198 last fri and I'm excited to see what tomorrow the scale says. Aunt Flo decided to show up so I'm sure maybe some pounds are lingering around because of that so if I don't have much loss I'm not going to freak out. Hell I may and then need yall to tell me to keep going.lol

It's supposed to freeze wild here in TX tonight so that will be an adventure. How's everyone week so far?

Good Morning All,

Man it's so great to hear about your weight loss. Keep up the great work. I had a nice 3 day weekend. My hubby and I worked out at the gym and it's so nice to have another activity that we both enjoy and is actually healthy for us to do together.

I rested sunday and yesterday and am hitting the gym later on today after work. Just a suggestion as most of us have kids. Before ever signing up for a gym I'd get a tour and check out their Kid zone and if they don't have one then don't sign up because that's the easiest excuse to get out of working out is that you don't have a sitter. 24Hour Fitness where we got our membership has a kid zone open all the time and inside they have activities and a full play area like Mcdonalds playland so the kids actually have something fun to do while you get in your workout.

It was a huge seller for me and now I can't ever use having my kids as an excuse for not working out. Have a great week.

Hello Hello,

Omg well I got my gym membership and eventhough getting up and going wasn't on the top of my to do list I made myself go and man I felt awesome after! Guess what.....I weighed on the scale there and it said 198lbs. I about fell over in excitement.lol That is 4pounds less than what I weighed at my doctors.

It made me so pumped up. My hubby and I are going later on around 5 or 6pm. This week since my dr visit and all I really have tried to get my food log grade up from a D- and have been able to by adding more fruits to a B+.

So far for the weekend I will spend my Saturday watching my daughters Cheerlead at a few basketball games, clean the house and then sunday I'm going to help my mother in law organize her house and get rid of clutter. My hubby will be changing the oil on the cars (his mothers and mine) changing spark plugs and just doing normal maintenance.

My hubby took me on a date lastnight and we went to dinner then to play Bingo. We both spent many years going to the bars and getting slammed drunk that now eventhough we are 25 and 27 we just love to do the calm activities. The bars were nothing but drama and trouble and we had enough of that. We love to watch movies at home, play Bingo, play board games and now we will have going to the gym together. Man I bet we sound boring.lol

I taught my oldest how to ride her bike with no training wheels lately so she now rides her bike all the time and we spend hours outside. Everyone have a great weekend and I will talk to you soon.

Good Morning all,

Man what an awesome Morning it is! I went and toured 24hours fitness by our house and since I work for the county we get 1/2 off each month and no start up fee so my hubby and I signed up.

I woke up early and eventhough I wasn't crazy about getting out of bed I made myself go and I hit the gym. It was so energizing just being there. Looking around also it was nice to see that not everyone there was a Barbie and I was an outcast. I don't know about yall but I was very nervous about going to a gym. I'm just not crazy about a ton of people watching me work out so it was quiet which was much better. When we took our tour it was packed and so I was a bit nervous.

What is even better news is that I stepped on the scale and I've really been watching everything and making sure I get a better grade on the food I log in each day and the scale said 198 from 202lbs. I was so happy and man that just gave me more of a fire to keep going. I know I'm going to meet my goal.

Here on the website has anyone ever noticed that is has food suggestions based on the foods you have logged in? Well my biggest weakness has been drinking cokes but I now have myself down to 2 a day and the food suggestor said I should try Propel Water with lemon flavor. Stopping by the gas station after my workout I remembered that and so I tried it and man it's awesome! Such a better choice than a coke.

So I made it 10 minutes of cardio and 35 of weight training. Later after work my hubby and I are going to go so that will be 2 times today. I'm pretty pumped! Yall keep going. You're doing great! I hope you are all having a awesome week. Talk to ya soon.

Alieajo-I love the 10 pounds at a time and I think I will try that and each time I make it to 10lbs off shoot I'm going to jump for joy. Welcome to the group also.

Welcome ChrisssySmile

Jen that is so great about your loss! Funny the way that sounded.lol 5 pounds is awesome! I can't wait to be there. Shoot a little bit at a time then it will be gone.

Samiaz-Way to go on passing the dessert. I've tried to look at things I eat as to how much more work I will have to do to get it off my ass.lol (I apologize for the bluntness) It definately detours me from many things. I will try your method of introducing veggies with a masked taste. Maybe that will work. My daughters love veggies so I'm glad they are getting a better start than I did.

At home we have deleted cokes from the household and are now just making tea, water milk and crystal light. I see that my change is affecting my family and hopefully all of us for the better.

I'm so happy it's almost Friday and we have a 3 day weekend. I did do something so not normal for me! I have switched to whole wheat bread where as before I wouldn't be caught dead eating that. I had to have white bread all the way but now I'm making this life change to be an adventure and I'm enjoying it every step even with all the frustrations from starting at a higher weight and not knowing about my thyroid or diabetes.

Pray for me something isn't up and I just will kick it in gear on the exercising! We have our tour tonight at 24Hour fitness. My work gets half price memberships for its employees and family so why not! Have an awesome day!

Havey-I so know the same feeling you deal with having the weight gain before and during your period. Shoot my pants struggle to fit the week before and the week on then after it's gone I can miracuously fit into my jeans with no problems with room in them.

I'm adventuring out and trying new veggies. Honestly growing up my family never was the fruit and veggie eating family so I'm learning how to like asparagus, green beans, corn, broccoli, and cauliflower. I'm still working on acquiring a taste for squash and zucchini. I'm adding in bananas and more.

So pretty much this is a whole life change for me. My hubby is loving it and it helps him to eat better also.

TracyF80-We are pretty much at the same starting point so I'd like to stay in touch and find out how your success is going.

Well I better go eat breakfast. Have an awesome day!

Samiaz,

It's tough also because we eat out a lot! But most places now have grilled options and much better choices than the friend fatty foods. Good luck to you and have a great day. There are some awesome people on here. Yea there comes to a point where ya just get fed up of not being what you want and that's where I got to. So now I'm doing something about it for me first of all then my family.

Hi All,

Man it's so great to come online and read your positive encouragement. Starting in Novemeber I was at 194 and yesterday went to my doctor and am now said to be at 202lbs. It was my 3 month check up for my thyroid so they drew blood and are doing an extensive test to make sure it's working properly and also a diabetes check. My doc said in sept08 there is a new medicine calle Byetta that he wants me to try but it's not approved as of yet.

I was so upset because my doc said basically for now I just need to work out twice what I am doing and eat better. I was like well damn what else can I do. I'm adding more water and more fruits and veggies. So thanks for your posts because they really have cheered me up in a bleak moment.

I'm still walking and am going to get a gym membership this week so maybe going will push me further and further! They have a childcare area so I can't use that for an excuse. I'm happy my doctor appt is over just sad at now knowing I have to start at 202lbs. I've never in my life weighed this much. Not even 9 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter so it's a real eye opener.

Also my mother is 5ft tall and was over 500lbs. She had the gastric bypass surgery and has lost over 300 lbs but I'm scared to death that my weight will get out of control like hers. OK so here's to working out today!
