Do you eat often throughout the day? That might help with binging. edit: you need at least a net intake of 1200 cals a day, and you're only taking in 900 right no, so upping your intake will help you out. |

The author was on Dr. Drew's daytime show, and he had a lot of tips. He was talking about how if you're eating a raisin bran muffin for bfast, you're better off with an egg McMuffin. The book looks neat. I am definitely going out to get the book soon. |

Adding strength training will significantly help you out. I would focus on building muscle to raise your basal metabolism and consistantly burn more calories. How many weeks have you been on your current regimen? Is it possible you are losing fat and gaining some muscle from your cardio? Have your measurements changed at all? |

I definitely feel your pain. I can always see my results way quicker than the rest of the world, so when I see pics that are not so flattering it takes me down a notch and reminds me of how far I still have to go. Then I click "remove tag" and go work out. |

| Weight Loss | "Sick" calories? | Feb 09 2008 03:27 (UTC) |

Hmm.. if you threw up soon after you ate (a couple hours or less) you likely didn't take in many calories, since it takes a fair bit of time for protein to be digested in the stomach then amino acids absorbed in the small intestine. Really, I wouldnt count the shake as anything. If you were sick, it's probably better to err on the side of more calories than less, since your body will likely be burning more calories to adapt to the sickness. And obviously if you're sick you don't want to severely underfeed yourself for the day. |

Maybe you ARE losing a lot of fat, but it doesn't make a difference in the number of the scale because you are building muscle. Try keeping track of your waist/hip/thigh measurements and see if they decrease over time. |
