Hi Dee! Some of us are over at my forum at http://forums.delphiforums.com/ithinkican/sta rt You can come over there for additional support if you like! (or anyone else who is interested!). That's great you haven't gained back any of your weight..that in itself is a success sometimes! I agree with you..I don't really care for the W.W. forums much.

Hi Safina.. (cute name by the way) ;)

I eat MCCann's daily..it's really helping me to drop my weight. It doubles in size when cooked because of the added water.

Oh good you are home! :) Here is a link that will help you a bit Sandra: http://www.the-gi-diet.org/lowgifoods/ Low GI = 55 or less,
Medium GI
= 56 - 69,  High GI = 70 or more.  Raw carrots = 16, Boiled carrots=41.  All carrots are low Gi..eat them to hearts content! :) Most vegetables are not a worry..

One little cookie is not a no-no.. it's just a treat..couldn't have been more than 3-4 points...you have to treat yourself sometimes.. Today I had sugarfree ice cream..you just gotta treat yourself occassionally..the most important thing is just to stay on your W.W. points/or calorie allotment..whatever way you are counting. Your day looks excellent! I see such a difference in what you are doing compared to your menus you shared with me the other day! :)

PS: drink alot of water to flush out yesterdays Kung Pao sodium so you hopefully get a nice surprise on the scale tomorrow morning! :)

Change..maybe your headache is from sugar withdrawal...it's very possible so if it is then it's "a good headache"..in a weird sorta way! Hope it has gone away by the time you read this!

Kyashiis...nice to meet...ohh spring sounds wonderful..it's such a pretty time of year.. I am ready for it too!

(((Sandra))) Never say never sweetie.. you gotta always keep trying! Sometime we hit roadblocks but there are always ways around them. I've had some hard knocks in life too but you just gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off and know that you are ALWAYS worth the work! :)

Day 6 of Weight Watchers..down 4 lbs and finally back in control. Oh does it feel good to finally be back on track. Makes me wonder why we always give up and never finish the process. This time I really pray I am able to stay strong and keep going in the right direction!

I look for yours but you haven't been using it I guess?  I just finished day 3 on Weight Watchers. !00% on target and I am commited to not faltering this time. I'm tired of never reaching my goal and I'm tired of putting food first. I am already down a few pounds and nothing is stopping me this time! :) I am very happy about it....'bout darn time I dealt with this! :)

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Hi Change! So glad you had a good time in Cancun.. I betcha that 3 lbs is just from sodium and flying.. give it a week and I bet it's gone!

Hey Jc....I'm not really getting anywhere either..I do good all day at work then come home and look for something to eat...I can't seem to control my afternoon hunger...

<grabs JC by the hand> come on girlfriend ...thissssss way...downnnnn the ladder not uppp!

Congrats on day one Muns! You'll do it again!!

About the colon cleanse and acai berry... acai is a great antioxidant and colon cleansers clean ya out buttttt they don't take body fat off you..not possible..I imagine the concept behind this is that with a cleaned out colon your metabolism wakes back up..that's entirely possible but it won't be a miracle cure...still gotta cut calories and exercise to get lasting results.. :)

Well shoot, sorry we missed your birthday Muns! Hope you had a great day! Lol, you are still funny as ever I see! :)  Hey, at least you are catching yourself before you fall too far out of reach and end up in another pants size so that's a good thing! We'll all do it again, we can do it!

Haha..I read your post too fast Muns and I thought it said you were tired of the oldies here! :)

Welcome Star and and "Lets"... yeppers...we all have the same story pretty much but we just keep on trying! No matter what if we are eating healthier I believe it's helping us even when the weight is not coming off. I make good choices just consume too much of the good things!

Hi Caroljoy! That's so great you like yourself again..it's terrible to be down on ourselves! I wish you success, you did it before you can do it again! I like your gradual approach better than jumping in too harshly and starving your body! For me, it's got to be upping exercise more so than changing diet except for cutting portions a small amount. I've crashed my metabolism one too many times in my life to risk doing it again.. "slow and steady wins the race!"

<waving> Hiiiiiiii ladies! Happy New Year! I hope everyone is doing well! Haha..I see we are all finding our way back..how fun is that! I love the holidays but after things settle down there definetely is some relief when things get normal again!  I still have this week off work.. yayyy to that!

What's changed for me: I've eliminated about 75% of the meat out of my diet which is the good news. The bad news is that sugar found it's way back into my world. I'm trying again to reduce it down dramatically and up that exercise!

Hope you all have a wonderful New Year!

Nice to see you Muns! I can certainly understand the brace causing anxiety for Robby! He is in my prayers! I LOVE chocolate too, you better not be munching on wabbit ears from easter! :) What is your new job going to be? I didn't see any mention of it in your journal! Whatever it is I hope that you will love it!

JC...ahh, the ice cream pull. I can't figure it out either sweetie. In fact I allow myself some but I buy Sugar Free/Lowfat so I figure that's something! Have you tried any of them?

Em: Hey you! Snacks are the culprit for so many of us. I do great with my meals, it's nighttime snacks that always have been my downfall too! I agree we don't to be stuck here in six more months so the snacks must either go or be replaced with diet friendly ones! :)

Hi Dee..

I was just saying this morning that I can't continue to compare my weightloss of the past with where I am at today. Time changes things and how much we weigh..health, stress, medications, menopause...we only have this day to go in a forward motion. You're right it's a lifelong journey...Congrats on the 6 pounds!! :)

Loven..."no U turns"..I love that! :)
