How about Swiss Steak?

I got this one from my mom when she was on WW

Its one of the few diet ones I have gotten from her that I actually like

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon ground mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 pounds beef boneless round steak - cut into 6 pieces
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion - sliced
1 large bell pepper - sliced
1 14.5oz can diced tomatoes - un-drained
2 cloves garlic - finely chopped
Mix flour, mustard and salt. Coat beef with flour mixture. Heat oil in  skillet over medium heat. Cook beef 15 minutes until brown. Place in 3 1/2 to 5 quart crock pot, and top with onion and bell pepper. Mix tomatoes and garlic; pour over beef and vegetables. Cover and cook on low heat setting 6-10 hours.

Foods How many bananas a day is too many? Aug 19 2008
20:28 (UTC)

I can not say how many bananas for you  would be too many for you to eat in one day. For me I can not have more then one medium/large banana a day because of the potassium levels but it isn't the only food that I have to watch the amount I consume. I do not have kidney problems but with the medication I take for other health issues I could at any point.

I hope this link will help answer some of your questions:   http://hgic.clemson.edu/factsheets/HGIC4069.h tm

Weight Loss Help! is CC right or is the label right? Jul 10 2008
00:42 (UTC)
Go with what it says on the package. There are many things here on CC that have the wrong calorie or other amount numbers. I found that I was actually over estimating calories because of the wrong information being put into CC. I now type it in all myself. Yes it can be a pain in the tush but at least you know what you are really consuming.

Weight Loss The allowance tool should be shot and buried! Mar 17 2008

Wow! I am sorry to hear that you have had the same issue that I have read so many others have had. I have said before that the tools need to be set up better but what do I know I am just a newbie who doesn't know any better then to follow what CC says or at least that is what I was told a number of times.

The whole 1200 thing is a crock! I went to http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ to get my BMR and then put that into the CC tools. I am having problems with the burn meter tool because not only is it too low for my BMR but the other day I lost 10 off the total estimate (top number)

Thr recipe I use to make chicken curry is not that expensive at all but that might be because I always have seasonings on hand.

Claire is right. Adding vegetables are a nice addition every now and then.

I am surprised that no one has answered your question. I am no expert by any means but I was told that since I use the WATP and do a mile in 15 minutes that I should log it as Walking - 4.0 Mph, Level, Firm Surface, Very Brisk Pace and that is what I have been doing. As for how many calories you burn it is different for everyone because of age, weight, BMR as well as other factors.

Original Post by nanamoss:

razcal2267 I too am having great results with WATP program.  I was not moving on the scales since Dec 2, 2007.  Then I purchased the dvd's and increased my calories today I'm below 200 pounds.  So I am going to keep on the WATP as long as I keep seeing results.

Congrats!Smile For me it is my coffee in the morning. I can not have caffeine due to my epilepsy but I need to get my butt in gear to start my day. I can not do the full 45 minutes, most of the time because I just do not have the few extra minutes. There have been a few days that I did not do the WATP when I first woke up and I just felt off for the rest of the day.

I caved in and purchased the 3 mile walk away your waistline DVD. I have been doing WATP for  a few weeks now. Every morning I get up and walk at least two of the miles then later in the day I do the third if not more. I am sure that it does have something to do with the success I have seen so far as some days it is the only exercise that I get.
