Just curious what anyones plans are after P90X? I am taking a break because my late April and May schedule is just nuts and then I am going to either do it again for 90 days or start training for a triathalon. I am pumped but also a little scared about the triathalon thing. I wonder if I should do P90X a second time first and then train for the triathalon next spring. What do you guys think? |

Man, I love it...AbRipper gets easier and easier.....lol just kidding, I just am happy I can complete it each time now. Who would've thunk it after the first time I did it. |

ugh....did chest and back for the first time...man that sucked!!! I gotta say that I am glad I haven't had to do that one every week, even though I probably need it because it was so tough. |

Well, last week on Day 45 I finally completed Abripper every exercise every rep. I never thought I would be able to do it but man it feels good!!!!!! |

Woo hoo!!! Back on track with lots more energy this week. Ready for round 2 of that Shoulders/Bicpes/tricpes which kicked my butt last week!!! I think I am going to change it up and start doing 8-10 reps of more weight as opposed to 12-15......see if I can tell any difference. |

I don't know why but Friday and Saturday I was DEAD!!! I had the two worst workouts yet because I had no energy what so ever. I hope it was just a fluke. Sunday and today I have been sore as heck......weird |

I take my 30 day photo Tuesday...can't wait!! I am not going to take any photos until the 30 day intervals just so I can have something to look forward to. I can tell the difference though. |

It's a great program. I am in day 25 and have seen great improvements. I cannot wait until Tuesday when I get to take my 30 day photos. The wife says she can really tell as well which is key ;) |

Rest week!!! This ought to be interesting. I am doing lean so four of my workouts are the same. It will be interesting to see how I feel next week when I start with some new workouts. Down over 1 1/2 percent body fat though in my first three weeks. I wish it were more but I'll take it!! |

I see P90X as about getting into shape not bulking up. Believe me I didn't look like their normal guys in the photos when I started but I am seeing results. The workouts are tough but you just have to man, or woman, up and DO THEM!! I think the biggest problem is people who say they want to get into shape but don't want to put forth the effort to do it. As far as no legs workout, I can tell you really haven't done the tapes to their fullest. My quads and hammies have developed a lot of tone and my calves are cramping because they are getting worked so much. Look, I am not knocking you at all. There are plenty of other programs that will do what you are looking for but this one is probably not for you. Just my 2 cents. |

Day 16....CardioX is getting easier or I'm getting better at it!!! I am not really dropping much weight but I can tell the difference in the weight I have. It will be interesting in 2 weeks when I take 30 day photos. My wife says she can tell the difference at least!! |

The one time I tried bands I didn't like them at all. If you can afford the weights I would definately go with them. |

well I am visiting in-laws and couldn't use a pullup bar. I tried the bands but I don't know if I was actually working the right muscles...I hope so. I guess we will see next week when I do my regular routine at home. At least with KenpoX tonight I know I can do everything. Anyone else have problems when traveling? |

Days 9 and 10....For some reason I am much more tired after the workouts this week than last week. I am going to continue to blame it on the fact that I can do more of the exercises and I did up some of the weights in arms and shoulders last night. AbRipper killed me last night...I thought I was making progress on it dang it!!! |

qm, would you rather have no butt or one that has a little shape and is muscular? I know which one I prefer to see on a woman ;) Keep at it Jarred, I plan on doing the classic version after I finish the lean one. You let me know what is ahead!!! Workouts are getting easier to recover from but since I am doing more during the workouts I am dead afterwards!! I have decided that I really like the recovery drink. Even though it doesn't mix that well and I usually just slam it down, I feel soooo much better about 15-30 minutes after drinking it.

From what I gathered the lean is more for those who want to lose a little more weight and not bulk up as much. Not saying that classic causing you to get huge or anyting but the lean is more cardio and less weights. In the first 30 days I only do arms and shoulders on Wed. and Legs and back on Fridays. The rest is core, cardiox,yoga,and Kenpo. Now what happens in the second phase? I haven't looked that far ahead yet :0 |

Day 8 workout..Core Synergistics again...I am much more tired than last week. I think it is because I was able to do so much more this week than last. It's cool because I want to feel like this after a workout but dang!!!! jarred, since I am doing lean we are already doing sphinx and prison pushups....not fun. |

Day 6 yesterday, KenpoX. I completed just about everything on this one. I suck at the kicks but hey I finished!! I was probably more tired overall after this one than any of the others.
Today, Sunday, I feel good. I am going to do the stretch exercises just to see how good they are. How are the bands? I already use the chair and I wonder if I would get more out of the bands. ;) |

LOL, the more the merrier. I started this thread because sometimes the ladies do not want a guy "crashing" their party!! Day 5 today, legs and back followed by AbRipper. Good news, I was able to do more of AbRipper than before and I actually think I will one day do the whole thing with them!! Bad news, my hands are killing me from the pullups. Upper body is my weak point but I am surprised I don't see blisters. I even have the gloves. Any suggestions beyond tough it out?

ok, day 4 for me and the workout was YogaX....man that was T O U G H!!! The first 45 minutes seemed to drag but the next 45 flew by. The funny thing is I am sore all over but I "feel" really good!!! Weird. |

Day 3 for me was shoulders and arm followed by Abripper. Man are my triceps killing me!!! I knew this was going to be tough for me as my shoulders and arms are my weak points. Do you guys use the same amount of weight for most of the moves? I made sure to stay within 10 pounds of whatever he was using and for me it is a good starting point. If I felt the hard burn the last 3 and was at at least 12 reps I thought it was right. Thoughts? I wasn't able to do as much of the AbRipper but my lateral abs(?) don't hurt as much as the first time I experimented with Abripper. Keep up the good work everyone!!! |
