hahaha!  ohio45  that made me laugh!  I'm doing ok.  I was down another pound this weekend.   Hoping to see another drop by Thursday!!  Hopipng spin class tonight will kick in the metabolism so I can drop another pound or two!  woohoo!

keep up the good work y'all! 

Let's just report in on Friday after V-day!  Unless of course you want to report in on V-Day so that you can enjoy a nice meal out that night!  It's up to you!!

Foods Calories in Applebee's Pecan Chicken Salad? Feb 08 2008

Ok I'm not trying to scare you but I read an article about Applebees salads and a few other chain restaurant salads and the news is not good.  For example  the steak salad at Applebees has 1,191 calories in it and 75 grams of fat!  FOR A SALAD.  So honestly,  I imagine the fried chicken salad with pecans is about that much as well.  Be careful of ready - made salads at restaurants.  Just because it starts with a healthy pile of greens doesn't mean it's always healty.  Toppings like cheese, nuts, etc increase the calories sooo much more than we realize sometimes. 

Just be careful!

Hi everyone!  Since I started this post I was just checking in with you guys!!  I have been hitting the gym VERY hard this week but I'm going to hold off on weighing until about monday of next week!  Everyone doing good?  Even if we don't make 5lbs down that's ok!! Keep up the good work and let's keep a check on each other!!!  We can do this! :)

Loved Sweeney Todd!  I will say though that you prob will not have the desire to eat while watching it. 

However,  I usually put a tiny 100 calorie bag of popcorn in my big purse and eat that with a diet soda. 

Have fun!  It's a very interesting movie.

these are a fav of mine as well.  I use them to make little healthy pizzas...they are fabulous!  I've also made the cinnamon crisps as well and those were pretty tastey too!! - Cricket

5 pounds is doable for me in two weks if I hit the gym really hard.  Although I hear what you're saying about being lower on the scale and it not coming off as fast.  In the past when I have lost alot the weight loss definitely slowed down the closer I was to my goal weight.  Join us anyway if you like!  It's just a mini goal for me and if you need to set your own mini goal then that works too!!  Good luck to all of you!!!  Let's check in the friday the8th just to see how everyone is doing!!

I use the activity log to enter my workout information.  For example a spinning class or using the elliptical for 30 minutes or kickboxing, etc.  It helps you with how many calories you burned doing each activity.  You can even add things like cleaning the house, etc.  although I don't use it for these kinds of activiites....just gym stuff.

WOW...that's definitely not a place with healthy choices!  Yikes!  I would go with the house salad and perhaps have them add grilled chicken.  Definitley as for the lightest dressing they have.  I don't think you are making a bad choice with the tuna salad just be careful about the toppings that come on that one.  Enjoy yourself  just remember to pay attention to your body and when it says enough...then stop eating.  It's so easy to overdo it when eating out b/c of portion sizes!  Have fun!

Oh good!  I'm so glad I have someone to do this with.  It makes it easier!  I have got to get in the gym more.  This week was insane and I missed the gym all week.  Will definitely work out today and this weekend.  Then next week I am back on track!  Let's check in with each other occasionally to see how we're both doing!  I'll add you as a buddy!  Is that cool?

-I can 100% relate to you! bingeing on sweets i just something that I have a hard time with. Sweets trigger me to just completely fall off the wagon! I have been trying to completely avoid them!!  And I'm with you on the losing the first 10 and then slacking off and not following through and reaching my goal.  I too lost about 38 pounds a few years ago and gained it all back except for about 5 pounds.  So here I am again....34 and still trying to get healthy!!!  Add me as a buddy and we can chat!!!

 We can do this!  This site is very helpful and will open your eyes to how much you are actually eating during the course of one day.  I love the site!

Well it's nice to think that one day I may be able to control these things.  But right now I can't imagine how that will be true for me!  I'm just too scared to even let myself be tempted.  But i really do miss having a treat every now and then.  I am still craving sugar but it seems to be decreasing a little bit.  arghhh!!!

I usually make my afternoon snack and dinner the lightest of all anyway so I usually will have like a nectarine or an apple for a snack.  I also love to much on celery and cucumbers...all low cal foods that are filling too. Then I'll have a nice veggie filled salad for lunch. The fiber rich foods like veggies and fruit  will keep you satisfied without taking in alot of calories.  That's just my suggestion.  Hope that helps!  :)

LOVE SPIN CLASSES!! They are tough but so worth it.  The calories you burn in one spin class are unbelievable.  After a couple of times you will be fine!  It's my favorite class!  Have fun!!!

Hi There!  I'm pretty new at this too...about 10 days using this site and I really like it!  I have about 65 pounds to lose and I am determined to do it!!! I"m staying in the 1200-1300 cals a day range and I have started a spinning class. hoping to add a kickboxing class sometime soon!  Hang in there guys!  We can do this!  Feel free to chat with me anytime!  I could use the support!!!

My weakness as well. PB, nuts, and crackers.  It's hard to put them away once I get started.  Especially at night for some reason I seem to crave these items.  I've been holding strong but it's like a crazy addiction!!!

Thanks so much!  That totally helps me out!!! I wonder what I did yesterday on my first day?  I know what I ate but not my burn meter.  I burned 700 calories by doing a spin class so I guess I would add that to my average daily amount burned?  Does that sound right?
