i like most foods :D though am not a fan of all meats (just chicken and turkey really) and i love salmon lol

i havent tried lentil soup before...that is definately going on my list :) it sounds gorgeous :)

hey :)

I think everyone is different on the items they wear to do exercise...my best friend likes to wear layers so she sweats...where as I like to keep cool because if i get too hot I end up being very uncomfortable and this leads to me wanting to stop exercise earlier ( and as I have no will-power this isn't a good idea lol)

All in all...just be comfortable!!!

I personally don't think that by sweating more through being hot you burn that more calories...maybe just water weight!!

adding some weights to the walking would help a little bit...but you should also try to vary your activities that you do as they work different muscles in different ways. maybe by a cheap skipping rope to use at home a couple of nights a week or instead of just power walking mix up the speed a bit...so run 1  minute power walk 2 Min's etc

I agree with Dakatz...you need to do more exercise if you want to loose weight...realistically you want to have  deficit of about 500-1000kcal  basically meaning you eat 500-1000kcal less then you burn off. however this doesn't mean you can do no exercise and not eat much because your body needs a certain amount of kcals to function ( i think it is about 1200 in an adult  not sure about a younger person)

Eat more (healthy food) and maybe eat more regularly the hunger away..but keep what your eating within your allowed calorie intake (which maybe you could increase to 1500?? if you think more food would help)

the way i see it is everybody is different and there isn't a generic amount of food or exercise which any one person should do...instead you need to find what suits you...if you need more food then others to function and to actually give you energy then that's fine...you unfortunately just have a bit more exercise to do to burn the kcal...at the end of the day to keep loosing weight you have to do it healthily and in a way which you can maintain.

For me it is the crunches as well! I seriously have to force myself to do them...lately i just put on my favourite program and do it while watching it..it has helped a little though i do hav to admit sitting there doing nothing would be much more fun!!!Sealed

 i was diagnosed as an Anorexic-Bulimic (yes they can be merged lol) a year ago now and it was the worst day of my life. I was found out when i moved away frm home and the new ppl i was living with became very aware that i wasnt eating with them and no1 ever saw me eat. At the time i remember screaming at them all and denying it and i really regret doing it...but i know now that it was the disorder that was talking

mine stemmed from the death of a close family member and then i fell very ill and was hospitalised for 6 months...after all of that i just felt like i had no control over any aspect of my life...seriously i felt like there ws nothing i could do to make my life the way i wantd it to be.

so my friends encouraged me to see someone for it and seriously it does help!! i still get little relapses now but i feel alot stronger and it is a real battle to fight this.

some people dont understand and just shout at you thinking its a choice your making,..and that you could stop any time you want... and that your doiing t just to loose weight...but people with EDs arent doing it for attention....most of the time its due to a pyscological issue about control...it is a long long long process and it will take time to get rhough it...but it is possible

I dont have the courage to tell my parents and family as i know they will want me to move home again...but if it gets worse i will tell them.

please please please if you think you do have a disorder please go and see someone and get help because the longer you leave it the worse it ill become...

hey :)

 

I'm Lisa I'm 20, 5'2 and weigh in at just under 190lbs :( my weight gain came from when sme1 in my family died and at first i just didn't notice it all pile on and then when i did notice i just didn't stop eating cos it was kinda a comfort thing. :(

now i am still finding it hard to not eat. if i am having a bad day i usually turn to food and although i try not to it just happens and afterward i feel so upset and embarrassed at myself it just turns into a big cycle. To make matters worse 10 months ago i was diagnosed with Bulimia which i am battling and for two months i have been bulimia free ( so to speak anyway).

i want to get into shape for myself..not for anyone else. I don't want food to rule me or for me to feel like i cant go out because of my size...

 

all in all i just want to be happy and im hoping CC can help me get there
