Thank you for the replies!!! I agree with everything that was said. I make a conscious decision to work really hard for the next three months. I set personal goals.... stuck them to the refrigerator so that in those times of crisis I would have a reminder. I am going to Mexico with 2 other girls... which brings the fear of how I will look in my bikini!!!! I know I have the desire to look as good as they will..... So I'm keeping that in the back of my head at all times so that I stay on track! Thanks so much for all the imput |

I had said I wanted to join this challenge, however I had emergency surgery last week and havent been able to post my starting wieght! I hope it is ok that I do it now and continue this challenge! Starting Weight (November 14): 168.9 Goal Weight (January 1, 2009): 158 or below Body Fat Percentage: 33.9% I will post my weight again tomorrow!

I know it's not weigh in day yet, however, I wanted to give everyone a piece of motivation... Just because the scale isn't showing the weight coming off, doesn't mean that others aren't noticing it.... My boss and three other collegues of mine, told me today that I'm looking terrific and it looks like the pounds are shedding off! I have been estatic all day... and I think I have some motivation back! |

I lost motivation somewhere and am trying to get it back up! Any suggestions? I'm doing better today and I hope it continues through the week! |

| I have already posted a story on here, but somehow completely forgot about this one....
When I was in college, I was about 150 lbs and I'm 5'9". I was in a Science class, preparing to become a teacher. In this class, it was required to go into a classroom, observe and do some practice lessons, while my college professor graded you on well your lessons went. So, I presented my lesson and was estactic at how well everything went. The next day, my professor brought me into her office. She sat me down and told me that I had done an excellent job on my presentation, however, whenever I bent over, you could see nothing except for my FATROLLS! I was so embarrassed! You couldn't see any of my skin, but she was trying to tell me not to bend over anymore because it was not flattering to the people behind me. I went home and cried all night and decided something had to be done about this. I ended up emailing my professor telling her how unprofessional she was, and how we, as teachers, are supposed to be guiding children in learning and learning to love themselves, and how dare her tell me that I was fat! She never responded to my email, never said another word to me, and gave me an A in the class. She knew she was wrong.... and not only that...she weighed close to 300 lbs! |

I knew I would be up this week. 1/17: 166 Today: 168.9 So this past weekend I ate pretty much whatever I wanted and it showed on the scale. However, it's past Christmas, New Years, and my birthday.... so hopefully nothing in the near future to slow me down. I'm hopeing to workout at least 4 times this week! |

Thank you for the birthday wishes.... Here are a few recipes I have tried that are pretty yummy! Mexican Casserole: 1 lb 99% fat free ground turkey, 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 onion, 1 can black beans, 1 cup corn, 1 can Rotel, 1/2 can black olives, 1/2 bag of egg noodles (no yolk), 1 packet taco seasoning, 1 can chicken broth Cooking Directions: In a skillet, cook ground turkey, onion (chopped, and green pepper (chopped). Once turkey is brown, add the taco seasoning, corn, black beans, and corn. Let simmer. In a samll pot, bring chicken broth to boil. Add egg noodles and cook until tender. In a 9x13 dish, add ingredients from skillet and noodles. Add sliced black olives and stir ingredients all together. You can add a little cheese if you like... with more calories of course! Calories: 275 Fat: 7 grams This next one is extremely easy! Chicken Breast w/ Red Potatoes and Fresh Green Beans: 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, 3 medium red potatoes, 3 cups fresh green beans, poultry seasoning, greek seasoning, salt/pepper, oven cooking bag, 1 can chicken broth Cooking Directions: Preheat oven to 425. In oven bag, place chicken breasts in bottom of bag. Snap the ends of the green benas and wash throughly. Place green beans on top of chicken. Cut potatoes in wedges and place in oven bag on top the chicken and beans. Add poultry seasoning, greek seasoning, and salt/pepper (Add as much depending on taste!). Place bag in a roaster cooking pot. Add the chicken broth to the bag. Cook for 45 minutes in oven. You can add any other veggie you like to this as well.... onions, sqaush, broccoli. Calories: 310 Fat: 5 grams I will add some others after I have tried some other recipes! |

Well, I've been really busy this week... so, I haven't been on here much and I haven't had a chance to get you those recipes! I will have them in the next couple days. I also haven't had a lot of time to excercise, but I'm down a pound! Start Weight: 167.6 Current Weight: 166.2 However, this is my birthday weekend... which means lots of cake eating, bad food eating, and drinking! Don't think I will come back Monday with good news. I have been told that you need to find out how many calories your body burns a day and then subract those calories by 500 a day. You need to burn 3500 calories in order to lose a puond, so by subtracting 500 calories a day, you are burning off a pound a week. To lose 1.5 pounds a week, you need to burn 750 calories a day... so on and so forth. I have really been watching my calorie intake, logging all food, and excercising at least 3 times a week (walking at 4.0 mph, 4 incline). I also lift weights and work on ab excercises to start firming up my muscles. If anyone needs some yummy, low cal/low fat recipes, let me know! |

| This is definately an unhealthy diet due to the vitamins you are not getting. I eat around 1000-1100 calories a day consisting of lots of fruits, veggies, poultry, and seafood. I limit my fat intake and get enough protein and carbs to keep me going through the day. This is a normal menu for my day:
Breakfast: Oatmeal with fruit/ 157 calories, 2 grams fat Lunch: Large chicken breast, peas, salad with fat free dressing, and a light/fat free yogurt/ approximately 380 calories, 4 grams fat Snack: Celery and Laughing Cow cheese wedge/ 45 calories/ 2 grams fat Dinner: Stir fry veggies (1 cup) with a large chicken breast, added seasoning, 1 cup grapes or another fruit/ Approximately 380 calories, 4 grams fat Snack: 1 snack bag of 94% fat free popcorn/ 100 calories/ 1 gram fat Total: 1062 calories/ 13 grams fat When I started eating this way, I lost 10 lbs within in the first week. I am also walking on the treadmill for 30 minutes a day at a speed of 3.5 and a 2 incline. Hope I could help! |

| I had my first baby back in May. One day I was shopping and ran in to an old friend. She had her 4 month old with her and as I told her congrats and how I had a 7 month old at home, she said to me, "Wow! How do you do it? A 7 month at home and your due with another one in a few months! I replied with, "No, not another one on the way.... just left over from the first one".
