| Yay! My mom is being released from the hospital today! Tomorrow we get to settle into our new place! Life is getting easier. My new apartment has a mini gym, and is close to the beach, so I think it should be easier to get some exercise. | |||

| Sorry I disappeared. Finally found a new place to live, and my mom's surgery was successfull, so now I'm back. I ate emotionally today over worry about her, but she's ok, and the doctor even thinks they got the whole tumor! So I'm going to be good tomorrow. | |||

Hi everyone. So I finally found us a place to live! Thank god. The last week has been so crazy. Hard to work out or eat good in an unfamiliar town. To make the stress worse, just found out my mom is going into major surgery on the 19'th. And my sister tried to overdose on pills! AAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!!! So now I have a bad cold from all the stress. On the up side, it'll be easier to keep my calories down - not too hungry. If I can just hold on 'till March, it'll all get better. |

Sorry to dissappear, but we had to go house hunting all weekend. I didn't win the chalange, but it did help me be unusually good. : ) I'm excited about this new chalange. |

| You can totally microwave veggies. Ziplock now makes special bags just for that purpose. Another of my favorites is McCormick Steamers found either with the spices or sauce mixes. It's a steaming bag and seasoning mix set for the microwave. | |||

So we get to move for my husband's job. Found out yesterday, that we have to be out of this place by the 29'th! Nice of them to give us so much notice. Still not sure where we are going, hope they tell us soon. I strained my back packing, so that means no workout today. We'll see if I can tomorrow. Do you guys think I should cut back on calories if I can't workout for a few days? I really don't want to gain it back. |

Remember you'll actually feel worse if you splurge. You'll have spent both calories and money you don't have. You're right about how things just seem to work out. Just keep looking for solutions, and one will present itself. Some things I've done before, are pick up some overtime, or ask a credit card if I can make a partial payment this one month. All else fails, Top Ramen, rice, and beans are all really cheap.

Two words for you. Astroglide Gel! It isn't runny like some other types, and washes off easily. P.S. Remember to pee after sex. It's a good way to reduce the chances of a bladder infection. |

| My hubby has to eat as much as he can to mantain his weight! So frustrating! He's muscular and thin and gets checked out all the time. I'm half an inch taller, and at my heaviest was 66 pounds heavier. Ick! He treats me like a princess, but I do feel like I'm going to accidently squish him. | |||

dragoncomet00 - I'm giving you a big e-hug! Your ankle or hubby's? A short term goal is a good idea - feels more achievable, mezzo - Thanks!I'm hoping for somewhere around 40 pounds. Kinda depends on how I loot at that weight with muscles (last time I was that thin, I didn't work out at all) Hubby took me out to dinner last night, and I probably should have gotten a salad, but I got a steak, fries, and a drink. It wasn't emotional eating, so that's good, but I feel guilty. I know I really shouldn't be having fries and so many calories, but on the other hand, it's really nice to be spoiled by my husband and taken to a nice restaraunt. So, I'm beating myself up, and reveling in the spoiled feeling of having had a fun date night. Aargh. I'll work out a few extra min today. |

This is the razor both my husband and father-in-law love. A bit expensive, but they both have thick hair so they needed a high quality one. Plus it's self cleaning! A bonus because you don't have to clean it, and it doesn't wear out as fast. http://www.amazon.com/Braun-7526-Syncro-Shave r-Storage/dp/B000050FDQ |

Hi everybody! Guess what? I've lost a total of 6 pounds!!! Yay me! Finally all my work is paying off. Mezzo - It's ok. 400 calories once isn't that bad. You stopped at that - good job. P.S. I know your advice was to others, but I wanted to tell you it helped me too. : ) Calbert - Awesome job!!! Both the Gym and calorie controll. Dragoncomet00 - Good luck. Congrats on starting the gym! I personally try to go to the gym 5 days a week - but even twice makes a big difference if you havn't been doing it. Just be sure if you lift weights to alternate - do half of your body one day the other half the next. For some reason it's better for muscle building, and you won't get as sore.

I'm finally seeing results on the scale!!! I'm down to 185!!! Six pounds. I had been feeling really hopeless - 2 weeks with no loss - then three pounds almost overnight! I suppose having finished TTOM may have had something to do with that. So, everyone who's got their TTOM take heart - the scale will be nicer in a few days. |

| I've been on the pill for 8 years. I almost never spot, but I just did this last month - and started 4 days early! I started working out and eating better in Jan. I seem to remember that last time I started a diet and exercise program at the same time I was messed up too. So, while I am going to take a test in a few days just to be sure, I think my body was just annoyed at having so many changes at once. | |||

Hi. The lowest adult weight I've ever reached was 145 lbs at 5'6". I looked really ill. The BMI charts recommend that I aim for 130!!! For me, that's too skinny. If you look sick or strange at the lowest weight maybe that's too low for you. I am aiming for a muscular 150 - 160 which is classified as overweight but looks healthier and feels healthier on me. Maybe some middle ground where you lose a bit and firm up a bit would work for you too. |

Kinda unusual, but I had undiagnosed serious asthma. I just always thought I was out of shape. I was always dizzy and exhausted for hours after a workout. Now, With my inhaler and regular medicine, I can breathe! Funny how useful that is. So it might be worth asking you doc if you could have exercise-induced asthma? |

(No compulsive binge/starve cycles) Short term goals: Work out every weekday. Lose 5 lbs by Valentines day Be able to bench press the bar with nothing on it (45 lbs) yea -I'm a weakling |

Oooo me too! Can I join. I'm 25, 5'7", 187 lbs (down 4 lbs from starting here on Jan 8) I'm definately an emotional eater. I used to do the bored eating but I've learned to get busy and stay out of the kitchen. However, when I'm upset, the fridge calls to me like a siren. I'm married to a wonderful man who can eat anything he wants and still lose weight. Seriously - we have to work to keep his weight high enough!!! AAAAGGGGHHH! Some days I kinda hate him -but he's my soulmate. So it's a challenge to have enough high calorie foods for him in the house without me eating them when I'm upset. He's started stashing the worst culprits at the office and thats helped. Sorry to rant so much. Thanks for listening.

If you set the burn meter to sedentary you have to enter your activities. Otherwise, it averages for you. Like if you select moderate activity that means - Moderate Activity

| I started on weights using those machines you see in most gyms. I just set the weights to the smallest possible amount, and did 2 sets of 5 reps. Once I could do that easily, I upped it to 2 sets of 10 reps. Then once that got easier, I started upping the weight. | |||

| The stationary bike has done wonderful things for my butt!!! I do 20 min 4-5 times a week along with my other workout. I prefer the recumbent bikes to the upright ones. I feel the burn more in my butt on that style. | |||

| I agree with paulinka. One binge doesn't ruin a diet. Kinda like saving money to buy a car - if you waste $20 one day, it doesn't make the whole effort pointless. Wouldn't want to do that every day, but once in a while is nothing to worry about. | |||

My husband has to work to keep his weight high enough, and two things that help are whole milk yogurt, and cheese. Good luck. It's a tough disease, but you can recover. |

Hi I fall into the EDNOS category. I'm 25, 5'7" and 187.5 lbs. I'm here to sanely lose weight - Yes I discussed with my Dr. I realized I needed help when I started dreaming about purging. Right now, I'm being very good. I have to have a high and low allowed callories per day, but I'm doing it! Anyway, I'm hoping to find a buddy who is also trying to recover from this disease to help me stay on the wagon. |

Stretching should be just fine, but a full workout with a fever isn't a good idea. If you are worried about vitamins, try taking a multivitamin. If you are puking of have the runs, drink lots of fluid. Pediasure is often reccomended, and even used by some hospitals to help dehydrated people. Don't focus too hard on your calories. Binging won't help you recover sooner, but getting enough food will. |
