For the Fiber, I love Fiber One!!! I eat the reg cereal plain, it's kinda sweet so it's a good snack!
Oh, and actually my fiancé and I are on the same shift now. But we tend to stay up in the morning, and sleep late. We're in a bad habit. I can't wait for the weather to warm up and we can go walking together... but I'll be mad if he loses weight!!! |

I'm in! I'm 5' 5 1/2" & 23. I started on Jan 6, at 235.8. I had a 3 week long plateau end of Jan/beginning of Feb. And then another one starting in March and I'm not so sure it's over yet. :o( My most recent weigh-in on March 29 was 214.2. 21.6lbs down. I'd like for it to keep going, though! According to CC, at lightly active, I burn 2430cal/day, so I try to eat about 1650/day. I don't exercise. :o( At home, I do dishes (we don't have a dishwasher), clean, laundry, etc. and at work, I'm on my feet for a few hours, moving around and then at least 30min walking. I don't know if that's enough to be "lightly active", but I sure hope so! I hate to cut calories even MORE! If anyone has an opinions on this, let me know! I'd like to get in the habit of walking on my treadmill, again. Hopefully next week. My goal weight... I really don't know right now. My first goal is to be under 200. Then 165, my High School Graduation weight. The Thanksgiving before Graduation, I was ~148.5. I think I'd be comfortable at 165 (size 12/L), but I really need to get there and find out. I don't want to be super skinny, just look good in about anything I want to wear. I was thinking 135 but I'm not sure that's maintainable. I'm getting married on June 13, 2009 and I don't wanna be a fat bride! I'd like to be 165 my October, my 3 year anniversary with my fiancé and my friend's wedding. |

| Weight Loss | Anyone out there looking to drop 100 lbs?!? | Mar 21 2008 04:57 (UTC) |

Height: 5'5.5" SW: 235.8 CW: 215.4 GW: 135 (I think) What kind of calories is everyone eating? I have lost 20lbs since Jan 6, but I had a 3 week stall at the end of Jan, and am at another one. I don't know what the problem is. I seem to average 1350-1550, which CC said my Burn is 2450. This week I have averaged 1750, so far... thinking I need to eat more. I don't exercise a lot, so I'm scared to eat more, without burning it off. I've started a walk/jog "program" this week, only 20min long, 3 times a week. I hope that's enough. I was so happy getting the first 10 off, then to find out I lost like 3#'s one week to come down to 20lbs down, and then STALL... |

Mmmm, grits! I used to not know what to think of these, until my mom took me to Cracker Barrell... she mixed maple syrup in hers!!! This is the only way I eat them now! |

| Weight Loss | OMG! Drinks have calories in them?!?!? | Mar 19 2008 09:45 (UTC) |

Well, didn't you know oranges have calories? So does orange juice. Same thing.... if it involves calories, I log it, unless it's really low, like <5. So I drink water, sugar free lemonade (the little packets you put into water bottles), special k protein water (which i log because it has 30cal), and decaf iced tea with sweet 'n low. |

I've went yearly, shortly after I became 'active', to get my birth control prescription. My last one was on my 23rd birthday. It can be embarrassing for some, but the doctors are used to it. You just go and get it over with. I've never had an STD test done, they've never offered. I kinda assume if something LOOKS wrong, they'll let me know I need one. Haha. My [now] fiancé had one about 6 months after we got together (court ordered, long story) and his was clear, so I assume if I had something he would have got it by then and it would have showed up by then. Some of the STD test require a blood test, I do believe. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong. |

| If you're pretty straight up and down, I read to bend to the side and you can see where you will "crease" and curve in. | |||

| Are you talking about having a "beer belly" like a guy? I got one of those. I'm entirely boy shaped, lol. I think my fiancé is more womanly shaped than I am. Hehe. Like guys can wear the same size jeans even if they gain 20lbs, because they were their jeans on the hips, under their stomach, and their stomach just gets bigger. That's me, except I still go up in size in women's jeans since they are more fitted and I have big thighs. | |||

| On days your sodium intake is more than "the recommended", will drinking MORE than 8-8oz glasses of water HELP or just make you retain MORE water? | |||
| Weight Loss | Can't seem to tame down weekends!! | Feb 13 2008 10:20 (UTC) |

The weekends kill me, too... but the one thing I have really noticed, by Friday rolls around, Friday, Saturday & Sunday, I NEVER get 8 glasses of water in. I think this might be a key factor for all of us. Especially those of us that consume way more sodium on the weekends. Does anyone know if we're consuming more sodium than we should, if drinking more, say 12 glasses of water, will help NOT retain water? Maybe flush us out more. I hope! I think that means mid-day I will guzzle 4 bottles (about 24oz ea.) of water! And then pee every 15 min. Ha. |

| Weight Loss | how do i check if my metabolism is working fine? | Feb 07 2008 12:30 (UTC) |

| No one will lose weight on 800-1200 calories/day. That isn't enough. Your body will starve and STORE the fat to keep you alive. | |||
| Fitness | Fiber Fauxpas and Farts at the Gym..HELP!! | Feb 07 2008 08:51 (UTC) |

| I read to avoid gas due to upping your fiber intake, to increase it lightly, not go from 10g to 30g in a day. But to 30g over 30days or something. That way your body gets used to it. | |||

| You really need to be counting your calories and not just "guessing" you could be eating way more or way less than you think. | |||
| Weight Loss | Calorie-wise, when does your "day" end and your "new day" start? | Feb 07 2008 08:32 (UTC) |

I work nights (at work now, actually). I usually go home, exercise and go to bed. I don't usually get enough sleep during the day, so I take a 1h - 1h 30m "nap" before work the next day. Anyways, for ME my calories "start" when I wake up from my "sleep". (For me, about 3:30p) and "end" when I go to bed. (For me, 8-9a) I wish CC would let me change my "awake" hours so it would be easier for me to log things, but even though half my day is actually on (say "today" (Wednesday) for example) Thursday, I still log for Wednesday, because that's when I have Breakfast, Dinner & Lunch. Yes, that order, for me, that's what I consider it anyways, lol. |

| I have the problem of "pushing out" my tummy, too. My lower back is curved in more than normal because of my stomach muscles not being tight. I've started doing Pilates and noticed I hold my stomach in even if not "exercising" just going about my day, normally. | |||

It just might be the last place you lose. I've lost 15lbs and my calf and upper arm have only shrank 0.5". |

| Weight Loss | Do I HAVE to excercise?! | Feb 06 2008 08:41 (UTC) |

I've been doing Winsor Pilates. Most of the DVD's are 20 min. I can only half way do some of the stuff, as my legs just aren't very flexible and strong. But I try my best and feel really good afterwards. I rotate 5 DVD's (Basic, Upper Body, Ab Sculpting, Buns & Thighs and Back), and that helps with the "boringness". How many times should I do this per week to see the best weight loss results w/o over doing it and making where it's just a pain in the behind? Is 3 times a week okay, or should I always shoot for 5? |

| Usually when people "eat more" they gain weight... and you're probably not eating "healthy foods" or getting more fiber and that will cause gas. But ya, eating more=weight gain. | |||

| No Money to go to Weight Watchers, but you can afford 3 Salad's a day from Wendy's? Ever if you are eating 99 cent salads... that's $3/day. $21/week. Last time I checked WW was cheaper than that. | |||
| Weight Loss | Supper = Half of my daily intake ! | Feb 06 2008 08:27 (UTC) |

| From what I've heard, eating doesn't speed up your metabolism, but rather, keeps it going. Eating every 3-4 hours is better than eating every 6-8. That way it doesn't have as much time to slow down. | |||
| Weight Loss | Am I eating too little? | Feb 06 2008 05:33 (UTC) |

| It means eat that much. If you exercise and burn 200 calories, eat 1518 calories that day. You are probably losing not fat, but muscle, etc. You're starving your body. | |||
| Weight Loss | How much cardio do I need? | Feb 06 2008 05:29 (UTC) |

| You could probably lose 30lbs by eating better/less alone. So yes, this should work. Just be sure to "eat back" the calories your burn. | |||
| Weight Loss | Supper = Half of my daily intake ! | Feb 05 2008 12:36 (UTC) |

Thankfully I work nights! So I eat a very light "breakfast" at 3:30-4pm; "supper" at 6-7pm (which is usually half of my calories ~700), snacks at 10p & 1a, and "lunch" at 4:30a. If I exercise it's at 8a before I go to bed. It's really the best time I have to do it, because my fiancé isn't home. |

I'm doing the mini-goal thing. Every 10lbs, a new make-up kit, Bare Escentuals, from QVC. My primary goal, is the first 70lbs, (57.2lbs away), is going shopping for a WEDDING DRESS!!! My ultimate goal is 100lbs before my wedding. (June 13, 2009) |

| Weight Loss | I HATE packaging! | Feb 05 2008 09:00 (UTC) |

I don't appreciate American packaging, either. I got to a local, Subway type and the bag of chips you can get is 2 servings. That's retarded, who says, hey, random guy standing in line behind me, you want to split this bag since I don't need 2 servings of potato chips? And then even at restaurants, most of the menu items are 2-3 servings for the whole thing! I guess we just have to "split" everything now, either with a friend, significant other, or eat half and take half home. *Sigh* I think the FDA should do something about American portion sizes. Or at least the "chain" sit down and eat places should have half servings, or something, even though that's more expensive! A place like Mickey D's at least you can get just a cheese burger, you don't have to get a double quarter pounder and eat 1/2 of it! I know some places do have "right portion size" items, but they ALL should. Gurrr. I don't want a chicken breast and 2 scoops of mashed potatoes, I want 1/2 chicken breast and 1 scoop of potatoes, PLEASE?! Oh I know someone's going to have SOMETHING negative to say about this post. *Ducks under desk* |
