I need some help guys and since we're all part of the orange team I thought I could come here.  I've been working at this weight loss for three years now and this past week I was ready to throw in the towel and just be fat the rest of my life.  After talking with some family I've decided that quitting isn't an option.  I'm giving it another go but what I could really use is some motivation to keep at it.  Any suggestions,success stories, or tips would be appreciated.

Hello Orange team members.   I'm new to the team and wanted to introduce myself.  My name is Kellie and I'm a 24 year old  working mother of one.  Started at 235 and I've been hovering in the 170's for the longest time.  I've found that good company is the best motivation so I joined this group in the hopes of dropping some more weight.  My overall goal is 135.  At this point I would just be happy to be healthy and fit.

I would love to buddy up because I need the help too.  My highest weight was 235.  Currently I'm at 168.  I've bounced back between 165 and 170 for months now. 

I'm usually on here once a day and have no problems giving a little push if you can push back.  It really helps to keep motivated if you have a buddy.

I watched it and felt for ruby.  It's great that she has that support network and is really set on doing it this time.  Her progress will be interesting to watch.

I'm pretty lucky in the fact that my apartment building has a really nice gym.  It's small but I go later at night so there aren't many people.  We'll be leaving soon though and from the new complex we're looking at the nearest gym will be a good 20 minutes away.  Not sure what I'll do at that point.  I've become dependent on having my gym 30 seconds away.

You are a wonderful person and are in no way pathetic.

1) Try the workouts on www.shape.com. ; You don't need sound and you can pick whatever ones sound fun

2)I have a young daughter so I understand how hard it is to workout with a little one in tow.  I do agree with the others though.  Get your niece involved.  Play tag or go for a walk with her.  invent games that you can play outside and it won't even feel like work.

3)Same answer as number one for this one.

4)The easist thing for me was to start with portion control.  It sounds cheesy but try eating off a smaller plate and with toddler forks.  lo.  It seemed to help me realize how much I was actually eating.  Then start working in healthier options for the food you love.  Don't completely cut out the things you love.  You'll only want them more.

5)No you are not.  I think we all do it at some point

6)I 100% agree with with both swamp_rat and kelleigh.  Look at you as a person.  Try listing two positive things about yourself before you go to bed and when you wake up.  Also, try to challenge yourself to something new ever week.

My health is my number one motivation.  I want to healthy enough to raise my daughter and be around for her later in life.  With that having been said though I am wanting to look better naked.  That's an added bonus to being healthy.

I use to have a serious addiction to Frank's red hot.  I would put it on everything I ate.  With the exception of maybe cereal and other sugary treats.  Actually come to think of it I did dip animal crackers in it once.

I ate some on a day that I got sick and it ruined it for me.  I love spicy foods though and I had no idea they boost your metabolism.  What a bonus!

What a great group idea! 

I started at 235 and after lots of struggle I'm at 175.  My overall goal is 130 to 125.  I honestly just want to be healthy.  I'll be happy whatever the final number is.

MY FALL GOALS

*Reach 160 lb

* Try a new veggie/fruit every month

* be able to run a mile.. Not run and then crawl the last bit

My motivation is my daughter.  I don't want her to grow into an unhealthy adult.  She needs me to be a good role model.  Also, I want to be a smoking hot bride next summer.

We have similiar stats too!  I'm 23 and I'm at 180.  My goal is 125-130 and I'm 5'7.
