do you have a hu hot or some other mongolian grill around you? might be a good introduction to eating something with a lot of veggies but a LOT of flavor.

I fill my bowl with chicken and lots of veggies plus sauce...no noodles....and YUM!!!  According to CC the sauces are actually not too bad in calories, either...might be a good thing to try, and then if you like it you could try to replicate it at home.

a bowl of fiber one in the morning will give you more than half the days fiber.  follow up with lots of veggies, beans, and whole grains and you'll be above 25 easy.  I drink metamucil a couple of times a day as well.  adds fiber and fills me up pre meal so I'm not as hungry.

I am currently loving the Philosophy line of skin care...and I use Arbonne eye cream.  Pure ingredients and really nice on my skin.

I go to work at 4 in the morning so I take a lot of portables to work that I can easily eat....hard boiled eggs (eat one with the yolk, one without), clementines, grapefruit to peel and eat, I keep a box of fiber one and I can get milk out of the machine, pb and whole grain toast, yogurts, etc.  Then I just try to balance my protein and fiber.

On weekends we do veggie omelets, wraps, high fiber muffins, stuff like that.  today was a low carb tortilla smeared with black refried beans with a cup of sauteed yellow peppers and a cup of sauteed spinach.  yum.

Here's a novel idea....ASK...if they can't tell you the calorie count then it's definitely not worth eating....donuts generally range from 200-300 calories, and if you can figure out how to make that work in your day for a splurge, I say go for it.

I made this last night...and YUM!!  I roasted the squash in the oven instead of sauteeing, and then I pureed it with half of the chicken broth because I didn't want chunks of squash.  Tasted even better today

3 bacon slices

1 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup chopped celery
3 garlic cloves, minced
4 cups (3/4-inch) cubed peeled butternut squash (about 1 1/2 pounds)
1/4 cup dry white wine
4 cups fat-free, less-sodium chicken broth
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper
1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 cup whipping cream
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 (15-ounce) cans Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
3 tablespoons unsalted pumpkinseed kernels, toasted

Preparation Cook bacon in a Dutch oven over medium heat until crisp. Remove the bacon from pan, reserving 2 teaspoons of drippings in pan; crumble the bacon, and set aside.

Add onion, celery, and garlic to pan; cook 3 minutes or until tender, stirring occasionally. Add squash; cook 3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add wine; cook until liquid almost evaporates. Stir in broth, cumin, red pepper, cinnamon, and cloves; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 5 minutes or until squash is tender. Stir in cream, oregano, salt, black pepper, and beans; bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Sprinkle each serving with bacon and pumpkinseeds.

Yield

yikes....lard?  2 tsp. of lard has 90 calories and 10 grams of fat. And 20% of your saturated fat.  You'll want to try to figure out how much lard was used so you can determine what you consumed, and then get the calories for the other foods.

And while I said yikes..I'm sure it tasted heavenly  lol.
