I have a newspaper quote from someone saying, "I will not give up!" as a headline. I cut it out and taped it to my vanity so that I'll see it every morning as I start my day. I also have some scripture and other motivational quotes on the back of my bedroom to see before I leave. This will be a great addition! Thank you for a good start to a Monday morning :) |

| Young Calorie Counters | Trying to eat 1200 cals but feeling fear... | May 05 2009 01:41 (UTC) |

No one should have an intake of less than 1200. I've always heard, read, and been told that if you increase your exercise at the same time you increase your cal intake, you'll lose weight. However, at your age, you should be intaking way more cals than just 1000. Your body is still growing! How active are you? Do you play sports or do some sort of exercise regularly? If you're not looking to lose weight though, just maintain your health and energy, bump up your calories by eating nutritional foods and increase your level of activity. |

Original Post by mrsmci: That's what I tried to do this past weekend at Thunder over Louisville, and held off the eating for a bit, but not for long. Once someone opened those bags of chips, my hand grabbed one and never stopped. But, because it was a potluck type cookout, I chose to bring a vegetable salad so that I would know I would have a healthier food option. With the majority of the group being boys, I knew chips would be in great supply. The alcohol is what gets me. There's no turning back after the hunger hits from drinking. |

What about doing your workout in the morning? That way, you don't have any excuse to do it later. It'll get your day started by giving you energy and then you don't have to worry about skipping it at night. |
