The Lounge Has anyone else cremated their pets? Jan 01 2009

My dog died last November and we had him cremated. He came back to us in a little urn. We put his colar and bandanna (that has his name on) around the urn. We placed him in the cabnet in our kitchen. It has glass doors so we can see him every time we are in the kitchen (his favourite place). We also put a picture of him beside the urn.

The company the did the cremation sent a sympathy card that was beautifully written and was personalized with my dog's name so we put the card beside the urn as well.

The Lounge waxing (women) Jul 30 2008

Waxing is so much easier. You dont have to think about shaving all the time. I have very dark and strong hair so I can only go 2-3 days w/o having to shave again. Thats why I love waxing so much. My friend can go 3 weeks w/o shaving so when she waxes it lasts a REALLY long time for her.

For my legs, bikini and under arms i pay $80 (Canadian) which is a little expensive. My waxing lady is in a "ricj" neighbourhood so she can hike up her fees.

But waxing is so worth it!

So the note thing isn't childish? He wont think im too chicken to talk to him so I have to send him a note?

I'll be so embarrassed if he says no or has a g/f. I'll still have to see him (sometimes) at work.

I've been on 3 Disney cruises and I have loved them so much. No they are not just for kids. I could go on and on about why i love it so much but this respoinse would be pages and pages.

I have been to Naussa, St. Maarten (2 times) and St. Thomas (2 times). My favourite is St.Maarten (the Dutch side). It is so beautiful there and I felt so safe there too.

No my friend doesnt want her to be her maid of honor. Im not in the bridal party either nor do i care to be. My friend is just concerned about how to tell this girl that she is not going to be the maid of honor (possibly not even in the bridal party). Its a bad situation b/c the girl expects to be MOH. I was just asking for advise to give my friend to help her through the situation.

The Lounge worst insult you ever got because of your weight.... Jan 10 2008

A few years ago (while i was still in high school) I was eating a chocolate bar at my grandmothers house. My grandmother said "you shouldnt be eating that, dont you see how fat you are." I ran off and cried for a few minutes in the bathroom.

I hate that she said that to me especially b/c my cousin is HUGE and is constantly looking for food but she doesnt say anything to him, in fact she buys him fast food all the time!

Another time I was walking down the street and passed by a clothing store and the guy who worked there (he was standing outside) said "loose some weight" while i passed by. I was so appauled. I was just walking by not even looking at him, the clothes or the store. I was just walking on the side walk. What gives him the right to say anything to me?

In Grade 11 my science teacher was assigning seats. She told this girl Jessica to sit next to me and she sai d"eww I dont want to sit next to her." I was horrified!

The Lounge Do you believe in ghosts? Jan 05 2008

Yes I believe even though I havent had any definite experiences. Theres a show on the Discover channel called A Haunting and it re-enacts ppl's experiences with ghosts while the real ppl are explaining what happened to them. Most of these stories are really freaky. Ofcourse I know it could be made up but i believe its real. The one I saw yesturday was particularily scary.

The woman's house was haunted with a demon who possed her husband and made him try to suffocate her and come after her with an ax. Also there is a part where she looked in the mirror and instead of seeing herself she she a horrible looking older woman who is green and deformed. Its was creepy to say the very least.

Theres also a newer show on A&E called something like Paranormal (something or other). Ive watched a few episodes, they are freaky if they are true but it seems more made up than A Haunting.

That doesnt sound safe to me. Your stopping a natural thing your body does. The reason im on the pill is to get regular monthly periods b/c before i would go months w/o my period and my doctor said i wasnt getting the hormones women get when they are on their periods. Plus, dont you get bloated? Your not releasing the lining that your body is storing in case a baby is produced.

PLEASE go to the humane society to find a dog. There are so many loving dogs there that need a good and loving home to go to. They have been in terrible conditions and I believe all animals deserve to be in a loving and safe home. Many of the animals in pet store (like PJ's and such) are from puppy mills.

Jewelsmcblah is right. My uncle found a dog on petfinder. She came from Ottawa (we live in T.O.). The Toronto Humane society has animals for adoption in their website also.

If your looking to save some money you can wait for the humane society to have a free adoption weekend. Once in a while they have a weekend when they waive the adoption fee b/c they have too many animals.

I came from the west coast and I used to go to IHOP or Denny's or Knight & Day...none of these exist here.

Theres a Denny's in Mississauga.

Other than that I recomend eggspectations. The one i go to is in Vaughn Mills Mall in Vaughn (Woodbridge).

A&W have good breakfasts too (even though they are fast food).
The Lounge Anyone Use a Wedding Planner? Mar 27 2007
02:12 (UTC)
My sister is a wedding planner. She works with ppl throughout their wedding or like u at the very end. The best part of having a wedding planner is that they can get u great deals b/c they have connections. I find that everyone is pleased with the wedding planner (atleast my sister's clients are). Especially on the day of ur wedding, u dont want to be dealing with technical stuff, you just want to be enjoying the day. So u hand over everything (responsibility wise) to the WP and they handle everything for you. It will give u great peace of mind. Trust me when i say its worth getting one.

Since u have some of ur planning already done, the cost should not be too high.

I dont think they are particularily attractive but i own a pair. I dont where them in public but i dont work out in them and let me say they are the most comfortable pair of shoes EVER! Its like theres nothing on my feet, which is so good for working out.

BTW: you see them everywhere in Disney world. B/c they are so comfortable they are ideal for walking for a long time - which u do in amusement parks.

When i look at pictures of ppl's weight loss (both myself and other ppl) the first thing that stands out is how much thinner their faces look. So i think if u loose weight it automatically comes off ur face. I dont think theres anything u can do to make it come off ur face specifically (lol - no face sit ups, lol)
