My advice: 1. Love your body. It won't be your friend if you're always telling yourself you hate it. You may not, but make yourself get to know it and appreciate it. Through life it WILL change often, even if you remain fit. 2. Eveyone will have contrasting opinions. Some say you're too fat. Some say too skinny. Who is correct? The correct is a majority vote between YOU, YOUR DOCTOR and YOUR PERSONAL TRAINER. Know this, and defend it! Health first, looks after! 3. The only way to control your SHAPE (to some degree) is by adding or atrophe of muscles, or plastic surgery. I knew this girl once who complained of her super flat butt. After altering her diet and weight training, she got the badoonkadunk she always wanted. I knew a girl who said her calves were too big. She focused on isolation exercises of the quads for a year but avoided anything calves, she stretched them only. Result? Longer calf muscles and the added quad gave an illusion of thin calves. There is much you cannot control, but also much you can. Learn about it. Then don't talk about it, BE about it. :)

I use one. For me, walking low-moderate intensity (3mph) takes about 20 minutes to walk a mile. In 3 miles I've done about 10k steps (although I realize I take super short steps, because I'm super short). It takes about an hour to walk 10,000 steps for me. Fitting a solid hour of walking in a day is hard but doable. Fitting in a mile is fitting in 20 minutes. It took 20 minutes to log on and post on this site...dabble around a bit. Go for a walk instead. Tools like this are good to stay organized, but not the best if we're all going to TALK ABOUT IT but not BE ABOUT IT. (no assumptions intended). Once you have that thing on you, believe me you'll FEEL the obligation to make it happen. That thing is tracking you. Think of it like a spooky little probation officer. No 10K, No dessert. |
