I've been doing this side stepper "skating?" simulation machine at my school gym for several weeks. Its a fast calorie burner. Usually I can only do 20 minutes, burning about 350 calories. At the 20 mark, I am usually driping sweat and ready to sleep of exhaustion :). Several days ago, I wanted to take a complete leap of faith and see if I could go longer. I set the goal to 1000 calories, saying I could stop whenever I wanted to. I hit the 1000 calorie mark in 50 minutes. It wasn't as hard as I expected, no harder than the 20 minute workout in terms of how exhausted I was after. I've been doing that goal for 2 days now. We'll see if I can do it again today!!! |

Sadinplaid, I just started running again. I only get to 10 minutes on ground. It's a mile, but then I have to walk for three minutes or so before starting up agian. Great job. Next time, I'll try to push it to 12. Thank You for the motivation!!! |
