Be as organized as possible... prepare bottles, outfits, meals for you, and diaper bags the night before. Be careful if you are breast feeding though... you need to eat more calories to continue to produce enough milk for your baby. Don't worry about your extra weight gain too much in the beginning because you are already burning a lot of extra calories just taking care of that baby!! Accept any help possible!! Lean on the dad/family/friends as much as possible to give you some alone time and maybe get in a light workout if possible. We have a support system if we look hard enough so you may as well use it!! For some together time I took walks with my daughter and did some mommy/daughter exercises (9 lbs of baby instead of weights works wonders--lol) We also went to the park a lot which is a work out in itself!! Don't stress yourself about being a perfect mom or you will end up in a horrible post partum.... just do the best you can and accept that you can't do it all!! Do your best to make the time you have together as sweet and precious as you can, but as your child grows remember to keep schedules and rules enforced so your child doesn't end up on Maury for being a terror!! LOL I was working 12-14 hour days and we made it through just fine... she doesn't even remember all the time I was working at that time and has grown to be a happy well-adjusted 6 yr old!! *smile* Now that she's a little older she likes doing aerobic tapes/karate with mommy... kids always love to be involved when they can so it's good to encourage them! |

First I would like to say congratulations on getting healthy again after your ED to all of the ladies!! That is quite and accomplishment and even though I know it is a long road and still a struggle keep up the great work!! Now to the part that isn't so great--lol. You have to remember what yor bodies have gone through... that blood has been sitting dormant in yur body for a long time and we all know that blood coagulates and clumps together when the happens. It's like when you get a scab only it stay moist because it's in your body and of course it a lot bigger. The reason it is light the 1st time is because you body has a lot of work to do to break that down and it may take quite a few periods to get back to normal. |

I would suggest going to your ob/gyn also... but you may want to examine your diet and see if you have included more foods that contain estrogen (you can search for a list on the web) That can make your breasts and backside get swollen and if your bra is too small is may be causing the tenderness! |

Giggle_puppy is right to a point... but I suggest doing some ab work during your weight loss also. There are some great ones foung on this site.. I like the 'best belly all around... they are easy when you are starting and have an advanced version also. I've also heard that adding monounsaturated fats (olive ok and tree nuts) to every meal helps to lose mid-section weight faster. |

| Try adding more fiber (veggies and whole grains) and protein (nuts, beans, meat) in every meal... they will fill you up. You can still make good choices with low fat/ lean choices. | |||

| Try adding some nuts to your meals or as a snack... they are high in calories and have healthy fat (monounsaturated) | |||
