I'm on a diabetic so I am on a low carb diet. My nutrionalist told me the following: breakfast, lunch and dinner no more than 45g of carbs mid-morning snack 15g of carbs mid afternoon snack 15g of carbs.

......and this is why I am always so hesitant to post anything even though I have ton of questions. Is it me or are people on here just getting meaner and meaner? What happened to support and helping eachother? |

I guess I don't understand. Why are you taking them? I mean why don't you just watch your calories, exercise and lose the 1-2 pounds a week? Sounds like its a lot more of a "pain in the ass" lol than doing it the old fashion way like everyone else is on here. Why pay so much money when you can do it for free? |

Mad4moon i just read your reply and boy i want to hunt that woman down so bad and tell her off lol. That is just awful. How can people be so rude! That must of been an awful flight for you :-( I haven't been to Disney World in forever. Don't stress too much over the little stuff. Your going to be with your family, having fun, laughing and making tons of memories. Have fun!!!

Thanks guys! So i'm pretty much on track i guess. A Gallon is like 120 oz i think. I never drank water before. I was lucky if I had a glass of water once a week. Once I started drinking it I saw the difference. I felt sooo much better. I have diabetes and i use to wake up multiple times a night 5-6 times because i needed a drink. Now I am sleeping much better. |

I bought a Gazelle and i love it. It was the best $99 dollars I have ever spent. You get the effect of walking or running but not the impact on your legs. Its great for the days I don't have time to drive back and forth to the gym. Plus it folds up so its not in the way. I get a great workout on it. |

I'm right there with you Don! I can so understand what you are going through! Last January I started and did great for 4 or 5 months then burnout hit in. I just started again last week...but this time I'm doing things differently so that doesn't happen again! Here's to a new Start!

I live in Upstate New York. I'm in Rochester which is about 40 minutes away. I feel so bad for everyone. I just pray for the family members. I just could not imagine. |

I hear ya! I'm in New York and its 3 degrees here. If you have stairs blast some music and go up and down the stairs. What I did was I would go up and down 10 times then do lunges...then up and down 10 more times....then side bends...up and down 10 times etc. Or do you have any exercise videos? You can get a really good workout and sometimes its good to break up your routine. Stay warm :-) |

I havent' had mine in over 3 years. I had it in 2005 and before that it was 2003. It usually comes every few years. I'm hoping once i lose weight it will come back. I worry i won't be able to have kids. |

Oh yikes now i'm panicking. I just went today to have oral surgery. They did a crown extension (that was oh so much fun) sooo i'll have a crown and then a double bridge. Its going to cost me almost 4,000 when its all done. Maybe I should look into the implants. If i'm going to spend this much money i might as well do it the right way. Such a nightmare! |

Gosh this post hits a sore spot with me. All my life i have been asked this question. Its the absolute worst feeling in the world. I can totally relate to you Mindalynn. A few weeks ago i was out with my friends and my boyfriend. I went up to the bar to get a drink of water but i was within earshot of everyone. A guy my boyfriend works with went up to him to say hi. I heard him say "hey man i didn't know you were going to be a father, thats great when is she due?" The worse part was having to hear my boyfriend explain that i wasn't. I have spent many times crying in the bathroom over this. My belly is just so out of proportion with the rest of my body. I'm just over 5ft tall, small skinny legs and arms etc and them theres my stomach. I'll never understand though how a complete stranger could go up to someone and ask this question. I mean my gosh. Like why do you care i dont know you! But anyways I sure do know that feeling. I would rather go to the dentist and have 5 root canals without novacaine than hear this again. It always happens to me on the days when i'm feeling good. Like that morning I stepped on the scale and saw i lost 2 pounds, i have a cute new outfit on, my hair and makeup look great and i'm feeling good. How fast that can make you crash. It sure hurts. |

I drink a shake everyday. Its great for breakfast. I add a banana to it and it takes like a chocolate shake! Fills me up until my mid morning snack. Low cal/ low carbs. I'd be lost without them! |

Hi Swimchick I saw in your post you got them from wegmans. Are you from New York? I'm in Rochester. We are so spoiled having Wegmans! but anyways if you go to wegmans website they should have all there bulk food nutrition facts. |

Cape cod is so beautiful. I have a cottage on Martha's Vineyard...i wish i lived closer. I only get to go acouple times a year :-( It sounds like so much fun! Just make sure you have comfy shoes! If it was me i'd bring a spare pair too just in case it rains. have fun!!! |

Thats what i was thinking AlanBates. I have diabetes and thought i might be able to control it better this way. I was thinking of like on a Sunday afternoon cooking a bunch of stuff and prepackaging everything. Like Chicken Breast, fruit, deli meat, pretzels etc. It takes me ALOT OF TIME everyday to sit down and write out my menu for the next day. And I have to do this bc if i don't have my food planned for the next day I get alll messed up and off track. I think it would just be alot easier to grab a few baggies and go ya know? I don't think i would do this everyday but like i said maybe every other day or something. I just think it might be a good way to really control my calories and carbs. I guess it can't hurt to try it and see what happens. :-) Thanks everyone! |

I don't know i just think it would make it easier for me to plan my meals. If i make a whole bunch of packaged 100 calories baggies alls i have to do is grab a baggie. Like make some with deli turkey, or chicken, some with fruit, etc. Plus i don't think i'd ever be hungry. I like the idea of doing the 200 calorie meals 7 times too...that might be a little easier. A big thing for me is tyring to figure out how many calories i'm eating each day. Sometimes i feel like i'm way off. If i measure out 100 calorie meals it might be easier for me.

I don't know i think about how many people are on that Dr's scale a day and how much abuse it gets. when i go the dr scale says i'm 6 pounds heavier than my home scale. But then when go home i put a 5lb weight on the scale it says 5lbs. I know its frustrating. |

This is so depressing since i'm sitting here with an EMPTY bowl in front of me. 10 minutes ago it had popcorn and butter spray on it. I knew that it had some calories but i didnt realize that much. The popcorn was good though :-) |
