hi all! i've just found out i'm preg two days ago, and will be 6weeks on monday (i think). this preg is actually unexpected and unplanned. in fact, i have been trying to lose weight since the beginning of this year and have lost 16lbs and was planning to lose another 16lbs by august! nevertheless, everything has sunk in already and we're now getting used to the idea of having another one (we have a 3yr old daughter) and we're getting super excited too! i just hope i won't gain too much weight! i suppose i'll just have to continue what i have been doing the past couple of months, whcih is eating sensibly and healthily and exercising, but upping my calorie intake to 2000 or so (i'm 5'5", 156.5lbs). |

hi everyone! sarahbaby, well done on the bikini! i wonder, too, if i will ever wear one! regarding your calorie intake, i found this post in CC which has helped me a lot: http://caloriecount.about.com/forums/post/768 84.html i have been following it's calculations and since then, my weightloss had been steady (not fast, but I'm ok with it). i have now lost 11lbs, 3lbs away from half my goal of losing 2stones! i can now wear comfortably some of the pairs of jeans that had been stored up in the wardrobe (for obvious reasons!). embarrassed as i am to admit it, but hubby said that for the past week or so, i have stopped snoring! well, maybe not totally stopped but it has improved a lot! i'm quite pleased with that as i am a bit worried with my snoring (and sleep apnea). hope everyone's coping well with the very unpredictable british weather!! |

hi everyone! this week had been horrible, me and my daughter had been struck with the bug in every form there is (very bad cold, coughing, vomitting, diarrhea, pink eye etc)! it's horrible! i stopped the dieting, but didn't have the appetite anyway. with that, i lost 1lb and i'm sure once i'm 100%, i'll probably gain it back again! we had strong winds during the night, i thought our windows were going to give in! |

| Weight Loss | Am I doing something wrong? | Mar 03 2008 20:22 (UTC) |

that makes sense! actually, my mantra is "eat when you're hungry, stop when you're full"... however, i there are days that i don't reach 1403cal. i thought that if i consume less than this (and not starve, though, i must admit, maybe sometimes, a bit hungry) then i'd lose more weight! ok, i'll try to consume 1403cals a day (but not over!) and maybe see some real progress! thanks! |

hi, i cannot really give any advice as i am on the same boat as zetogirl. however, regarding texmez's advice, does that mean if you go under your supposedly calorie intake, you won't lose weight? this is interesting because according to cc's calculations, i should consume 1403 cal in order to bring down my weight to 140lbs (from my current 168lbs) by august 15. most days, i go under 1403cal...is that why i'm not losing any weight? i started with cc 6 weeks ago and so far have only lost 5lbs! much slower than i was hoping for!

hi all! i'm 5'5", 169lbs. i'm looking at 140lbs as my goal, hopefully by august/september. i started with CC 4 weeks ago and so far have lost 4lbs... i must admit i was a bit frustrated with my weightloss as it it's slower than i had expected, considering i "try" to eat healthy and control my portions (except on weekends, when it's really a struggle for me). however, lately, i noticed that my clothes are getting looser...i don't have any serious exercise regime. i just walk to anywhere i need to go to, ie, errands. i'm just too lazy to exercise! |

| hi all! hope the sun was out wherever you are in the uk. yesterday, i wore a pair of jeans that i haven't worn for a while because, as you guessed it, it wouldn't fit anymore (or at least it was quite uncomfortable). tried it on yesterday and it fits me comfortably again! i mentioned that my weightloss has been slow, but it seems i'm doing something right as my clothes are, indeed, getting looser (and not just my imagination). i did some serious walking today and i feel great! | |||

| wow, congratulations on your weightloss! i can totally relate to your dieting mindsets, especially on "waste is waste", "unhealthy food outlook" and "coping with binge"...i usually cook from scratch and i can't bear seeing leftovers! i should really change my outlook on that...last night i was so tempted to gobble the chocs hubby gave me for valentine's. i just told myself (after eating one, of course hehe): "tomorrow"...i suppose this is one thing it's ok to procrastinate with! | |||

hi everyone, i'm 38, 5'5", currently 170lbs (lost 3lbs since i started a month ago). so i think my stats are somewhat close to yours. my goal weight is 145lbs, hopefully by the end of june. i don't have any serious exercise regime, maybe that's why my weightloss is a bit slow. i do walk everywhere i go, but that's pretty much it, really. better start using the fitness dvd i got a couple of months ago! |

the tablet sounds appealing, but i must admit i am a bit wary taking diet supplememnts etc...plus the one who was taking it was on 1350cal a day and excercises 1hour a day...you would lose weight with that, with or without tablets! she said though that it did jumpstart her weightloss at 6lbs the first week, then 1.5-2lbs weightloss after that. i remember reading somewhere, that whatever you do, even you bang your head on the wall several times, as long as you accompany it with exercise and a calorie controlled diet, you will lose weight |

Just came from ASDA and got ASDA's own meat free sausages (lincolnshire and something else, can't remember), mince and meatballs. you should see the look on hubby's face when he saw them! it's like he is already convinced that he won't like them and is already asking me to cook the real ones too! i haven't tried them yet but i was inspired by a friend who is a vegetarian and on weightwatchers. she said those sausages are worth 1 point (and i think they're allowed 20+ points, not sure how many exactly, a day). |

Hi, I'm from Leigh (between Manchester and Liverpool). Started counting calories two weeks ago! I'm 5'5" 12st 3lbs (lost 2lbs since I started), size 18, sometimes 16. I'm aiming at 10st by October. I usually do ok during the week, it's the weekend that's the problem, specifically, sunday roast/lunch and dessert! I think I treat my weekend as a reward thing, but end up overdoing it!! |
