I was out-of-town on vacation for a long weekend last weekend, so I didn't weigh in.  This week I got into the Halloween candy, but to compensate I really watched what I ate.  I guess that did the trick!  The leftover candy is packed away for me to take to school to share with the kiddos, so that temptation will be GONE!

Let's evaluate: this week was my birthday week, which meant eating out more and eating more in the evenings than I like to.  Last night I ate supper at my Mom and Dad's, so that was an additional night of heavy eating.  What I can do to change:  retrain my brain and body into that smaller evening meal, one step and one day at a time!

Well, I wanted to be in the 130s and I got my wish.  I'm trying to follow this plan:  eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a peasant, and dinner like a pauper.  It seems to work for me!!!  Hope to see some of you in the next challenge!

I've reached my mini-goal of being in the 130's for weight!!  I have been riding my bicycle to school and around town to do my errands during the week.  I can tell that has helped with my exercise.  I now have two friends I walk with during the week, so I'm getting some cardio in there as well.  I haven't made it back to the gym just yet, but I've got my Nintendo Wii and Wii Fit back and plan on starting there.  I think I will save the gym for winter and rainy days.  What I'm doing now is working, according to the scale!!

I've been riding my bicycle to school (on sunny days) and I can tell that has made a difference.  Last week, I rode it out to the country (over 11 miles!!).  I am out-of-shape and slowly getting back into shape.  One step at a time!

School started this week and I can tell a difference in my eating schedule!  It has helped greatly to eat at the same times every day.  Also, I've been getting more walking in, which amounts to more exercise for me!  I'm going to ease back into the gym this week and hopefully keep it up!

No gym time this week.  Eating hasn't been so good either.  Time to start making those small changes (yet again) that lead to a healthy lifestyle!!  School begins in 2 1/2 weeks, so I have been working in my classroom a bit.  Good luck everyone!

Made it to the gym twice this week!  My main goal for this challenge is to maintain, or lose slowly.  I have some other health issues that are taking front seat to my weight loss, so a slow loss is what my doctor and I are looking for.  I'd be happy to be in the 130s at the end of this challenge!  Good luck everyone!

I started back up at the gym this week, which might account for the slight increase in weight--I'm eating a little more to have the energy to work out!

I will weigh in again on Sundays like the last challenge.  I lost 10.6 pounds since April 1 and a big part of that was the support I got from heavenly through her challenges.  This time I will concentrate on doing it the healthy way and will be happy with a 5-pound loss.  :)  Good luck to all of you out there!

My doctor was a little shocked that I had lost 10 pounds in 2 months, especially since I lost it the "wrong" way (not eating right, not exercising).  So, I still made the challenge overall and will join heavenly's next challenge as well.  This time I want to challenge myself to lose the healthy way and not get my system all out of whack again!!

I got a vehicle this week!  I walked in a 2mile walk/5k run on Saturday and it felt great.  I am thrilled to exceed the 10 pound challenge as well!!!  Feeling good but tired lately because of the heat and my refusal to turn on the A/C.  Stubborn as always!  Hang in there everyone!!!!

Still not going to the gym and I was without a vehicle two days this week.  Instead of getting out there and riding my bike, I sat at home and did nothing.  It's just a funk I am in...the weather has been cooler too and I've not felt well.  TOM is next week so I know that is a part of it.  Just gotta keep on keepin' on!!

I had a car wreck on Saturday May 23rd and totaled my vehicle.  Luckily, my only bodily injury was a nasty airbag burn on my left arm.  With that, and since last week was the last week of school, I took a much-needed 12 days off from the gym, biking, and Wii Fit.  I see that I still lost this week, but today I began my gym routine again.  It was nice to have a break but I miss the challenge my body needs.  Now that my arm is healing nicely and I am out of school, it's time to get my rear in gear!  Good luck everyone out there!

This week I stuck with the exercise routine.  NOT.  It was my last week of school and things were stressful.  I skipped a few days at the gym and watched what I ate.  The weather here has been warm so I upped my fluids.  It's great to see those 140s!!!

Wow!  Everything just clicked this week.  I was so busy in the evenings that I ate supper as soon as I got home from school.  I kept busy and still did my workouts.  I need to still drink more water.  Other than that, I am extremely pleased with the way this week went!  Can't wait to see what unfolds for next week's weigh-in!

I'm getting there.  Still not so good on the water and I slipped up on the veggies, but I am please with the weigh in.  I know TOM"s around the corner, and this was Teacher Appreciation Week so we had lots of extra goodies around.  It also rained every day last week, so I wasn't as active.  Onward and forward!

I was stuck in reverse this week.  My exercising was good (maybe more than usual) and my eating was pretty good, but the TIMES OF THE DAY that I ate was my downfall.  I like to eat supper early (5-6pm) and ate wayyyy late this week (most nights after 9pm).  My digestive system got out of whack and I don't think I ate as many calories as I needed.  I also did not drink as much water as usual. I will learn from this and move forward!!!

I really think going to the gym 3x/week and doing half cardio & half weights has been helping.  I also found a protien powder that I like and have been getting in more protein that way.  I can tell a difference for sure!!  140s, here I come!

Small steps, everyone.  Make CONSCIOUS choices to exercise and choose good foods over bad.  Ask yourself, "Is this really worth it?"

Side note:  I lowered my cholesterol 29 points from January (305 total) to April (276 total).  Yippee!!!  No medication for me as of yet!

I'm a couple days late but I'd like to join.  I ride a recumbent bike at the gym and also cycle around my little town when the weather cooperates.  I did 5.04 miles at the gym this week.  It might take me awhile, but I think this would be a great challenge for me.  Weight: 153.0 today.
