cucumbers, carrots, and diet coke.

I LOVE baby cucumbers - the really little, super crunchy ones.  It's so hard to find good ones at the grocery store though.  Straight from someone's graden is the way to go.

Your pomegranate choice is interesting. Pomegranate seeds supply women with a certain type of estrogen that actually helps you lose weight!

 Really?!  I had no idea!

if you love veggies, why do you need dip?

 Because it`s YUMMY!  Laughing

And let`s be honest . . . no matter how much I love veggies, raw naked broccoli would taste like ****.  LOL

Hmmm . . . I may have to look for some yummy do-it-yourself dip recipes.  I thought about just using low-cal salad dressing, but making something could be more interesting.

Definitely not a hummus fan though - not a taste I was ever able to acquire.  I think it's a texture thing for me.

the easiest way to make muscles shrink is cardio and over training the muscles, try working you legs and arms everyday with about 4 sets of an exercise, varying your rep ranges from 8-15, working them everyday will cause them to over train because you are giving them no rest, when muscles get over trained they start to shrink, mix that in with cardio and you should be good.

VERY cool!  And see, I NEVER would have known that!

Thanks!  Smile

I enjoy Pilates, and I've heard that it "lengthens", but to be honest, I've never had to work out to control my weight before (damn you, twenties!  *shakes fist*), so I'm kind of clueless.  Embarassed

I feel pretty normal (I don't get PMS-ey), but I weigh every morning, so I notice the drop.

I am SO impressionable when it comes to food.  Commercials were MADE for me.  Any mention of something yummy can make me crave it.  LOL

Fortunately, my will power is decent enough that I don't run out and get everything I crave.  Otherwise I'd be in soooooo much trouble!

I'm still not about to start looking forward to it though!  LOL

I've never understood the purebred name thing.  I guess that's because we've always had mutts.

To be honest, because of the requirements and limitations, you're almost guaranteed to end up with a knobby-sounding registered name no matter what you do.

The name has to include the kennel name (at the beginning in North America, at the end in Germany - as is the case with Weims because they're a German dog), not be a duplicate of a name already in the registry, and contain no more than 30 characters, start to finish, including the kennel name, given name, spaces and punctuation.  It has proven to be much more difficult to come up with something than I thought it would be.

OK, so . . .  After thinking about it all day (and having someone point out that Slade sounds like the name of a Fabio-esque soap star, LOL and kinda ruining it for me) I have decided that his name will (almost Embarassed ) definitely be Grayson.

Registered name that (I think Embarassed ) I have settled on, is:

"Colray's Gray Son 2nd To None".

And I have more pictures!

I think Slate would be better than Slade, but it's your dog. And Slated for Success was my favorite.

Then again, I'm so far removed from this dogs-as-showpieces mentality. I'm a pound puppy girl...

My first dog was a rescue.  :)

But a Weimaraner is a dog I have always wanted, and due to the improper breeding and poorly-monitored genetics that are unfortunately so common (and the fact that I want to compete in Agility which is physically demanding and high-impact) I decided that going to a meticulously researched breeder was the route for me this time around.

One more bunch then I'm done till I see if any of these are winners.

These ones are rhymed phonetically (because you'd pronounce it more Gray-Sin, than Gray-Sun)

Colray’s Platinum Plays To Win

Colray's Gray Son In It To Win

Colray's Gray Son Plays To Win

Colray’s Perfect Should Be Sin

Colray’s Handsome From Within

Few more possibilities.  Just throwing them out there . . .

Colray’s Son Not To Be Outdone

Colray’s Son Is Second To None

Colray’s In It For The Long Run

Colray’s Platinum Makes It Fun

OK, so there definitely isn't anyting really besides "mason" that rhymes.  LOL

BUT, there's a lot that rhyme with or are at least similar to "son".

What do you think of "Colray's Titanium Smoking Gun"?  Or something along those lines.  That's badass enough for a boy!  LOL

"Gray Son of Grace" is promising, but you're right, I need to man it up a bit.  LOL

Grayson has been the definite front-runner any time I've talked names with anyone.  I've had my moments of attachment to Slade . . . I think more recently it has to do with the fact that Slade has been easier to tie the registered name to.

Not that it's necessary, but I would have liked for the registered name to "match" the call name.  I can't get anything to rhyme with grayson, and putting "gray" in there just seems so . . . typical . . . given that he's a Weim.  The best I've come up with is either "Pewter Gray Powerplay" or "Gray Son of Mercury".  Neither of them "speaks to me".

*sigh*

Any ideas?

My puppy will be one of these four; I just don't won't know which one until they're a little bit older.

1. youhavenoidea and swimgirl, stop agreeing with me.  i didn't come in here to slam parents.  if that's what you think i was saying, you misread my post.

I didn't "slam parents".  I in fact pointed out that I have respect for PARENTS.  Just not people who, on principle, think they are better, more noble, etc. than anyone, simply because they chose to breed, where others (who are perfectly capable of the same) have not.

What I AGREED with, was the affirmation of the ridiculousness of one arbitrarily placing themselves, above anyone else.

we all find time for what's important to us.  when people say "I don't have time" (for exercise, for cooking, for spending time with friends, for whatever), what they're really saying is, "It's not a priority."  fair enough; we all have to set priorities.  but when that turns into, "You have time because you're not as important as me," that's a different story.

Agreed.

And though I have the utmost respect for SOME parents I know, the vast majority aren't doing the world any favors by bringing kids into the world when they have scarecely enough intelligence to cover their own existence.

Having a child doesn't make anyone a better person - not even close.  Being a PARENT makes one a valuable, albeit DIFFERENT addition to society.  Not better than those who choose not to be, but DIFFERENT.

That happens to me too.  It's not lightheaded dizziness, like you're about to pass out, but more that you're just disoriented from being on an artificial surface, doing nothing but extremely repetitive activity for a period.  It feels like you "hit the ground running" when you first step off the treadmill, and you're kind of walking in quicksand for a few seconds.  That's the best way I can describe it anyway.  I don't personally think it's any cause for concern.

I'll tell ya though, being nekkid's not so depressing anymore!  LOL

I'm a Miracle Whip fan too.  I in fact find it tastes better than conventional mayo.  The fat free-kind that I use is I think 10 or 15 cals per TBSP instead of the usual 40 in the regular stuff.  I can't tell the difference between the fat-free and regular whatsoever.
