Hi Bbrain

Still doing well. Last night was hard. My husband wanted to pick up Thai Food for dinner. While we waited he said lets go to that bar & have a drink. The bar was a smoking bar!!!! We sad there for a while and at times it made me want one and other times the smell made me sick. After we left I could smell the smoke on my clothes. Not an easy night but I am doing OK this morning.

I agree I think the farther a long I get the more difficult it is. Someone told me that the two week mark is the hardest.

Hello Everyone! Morning of day 5 and it is still going great.I haven't weighed myself so I do not know if I have lost or gained but I have been able to eat under my calorie target every day and have been doing 1 to 2 hours of working out daily so hopefully I am losing. The worst is night after dinner. For some reason I just keep thinking it is time for me to go outside and have a cig. But I remind myself I am a non-smoker now and get thru it. I love the fact that I no longer smell like smoke. I also like being a healthy person :)

bbrain, congratulations!!! WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!! And you will look awesome at the wedding in April

Hi Everyone!

It is day four and so far so good. Cravings have not been as bad as I expected. Worst time is after a meal and at night. I feel so much better already and look forward to how I will feel in a month. I like being able to say I am a non-smokerLaughing

So great to hear such positive things about Chantix and people who have been successful. So far today has gone well. It is only 10:45 AM but the cravings have not been too bad. So far only one sugar free candy. Thanks for the heads up on the candy leading to Gas, I am sure my husband appreciates it as wellLaughing.

Thank you and congrats on the 2 days. I hope tomorrow goes well. I am stocked up on gum, sugar free hard candies and a list of things to do when I get a craving (sit-ups, chew gum, crossword, cleaning). Keep your fingers crossed Laughing

Thank you everyone! I am taking the medication Chantix. My doctor, friends and pharmacist have all said good things about the success rate. My metabolism is my big concern. I know I can be careful about the food but I have no control over what my Metabolism does. I have increased my workouts and will increase even more after my quit date, TOMORROW!!! Hoping that by working out more I can balance out my metabolism so it stays normal. But who knows!!! Ultimately, quiting is more important than my weight so if I gain I will deal with that later :)

3 years is so great! I hope to be there myself. My goal to lose the weight and quit smoking is so I can seriously start trying to get pregnant. I figure I should get to my "dream" weight before I get pregnant since after that I know I will struggle to lose the weight I gain :) Also, I want to be done with smoking before I have children!

Thank you
