I didn't weigh in this week. I was gone for a couple of days (i'm in australia by the way) I've just been doing some shopping for the fam. today wasn't a good food day. didn't really have sweets but i had chips and a few other unnecessary foods. tomorrow will be better! much much better! I'm actually scared to weigh myself. I never get happy results =( |

hiya! my name is allora. Im about 183lbs 5'10". my friends tell me i look proportioned and that my weight doesnt fit the way i look but i know i can be smaller. My smallest was 172lbs in may 2008. I'm trying to surpass that. I'm currently doing P90X. i usually run as well but due to finals i only have time for the dvds (which are intense and 1 hour long!!) I would like to be about 165lbs with a leeway of 3 lbs. But not less and no more than 172lbs. i'm my happiest then. I really need motivation! my eating is much better this week but I still have a ways to go, so far 6-7 days without sweets! i could use all the help i can get =)

hello. I just came across this group and I would love to join if its not too late =). 15lbs is very much attainable but i think ill start at a smaller loss like 8-10lbs. I hope to achieve this loss and my long term goal of 25lbs by my 21st in April. I'm currently at about 185lbs and I am 5'10" |

Not my best week. Stress took over and my food decisions sucked. =( But thts in the past so now i have to move on and not look back at this past week. Hopefully this week will be better!! |

hi i know this started back in august but after looking at old photos of myself from freshman year in college i am disgusted with myself. i was hoping i could join this group for motivation. i really have issues with my relationship with food, i always give into temptation and i know deprivation isnt the way to go but i try not to eat sweets at all..because one taste puts me on a frenzy. so i hope to reap the benefits of online groups for weight loss. thanks

okay. I steer clear of breads pastas etc unless whole grain or wheat..but even then i don't eat that much. that's where my weight gain comes from.
what about exercise? what's a good enjoyable exercise that kicks your but into shape? i'm not a fan of running because i was never good at it , but occasionally ill go for a 20-30min run so i've been doing workout videos. i know cycling is good but the class is at 6am at school. i might have asked this question before but i dont remember haha! wish me luck on my speech and test! |

question! i love gettin feedback i think thts y i ask so many! where do most of your carbs come from? i try to watch my carbs but its really hard. i know fruit has carbs (healthy) but sugar can be alot! i've been trying low-carb (in the past its worked for me cutting out all sugar (including fruit), all breads and grains for two weeks (basically south beach diet suggestion for phase 1) so again? where do most of your carbs come from? |

meggo85: whats road cycling...do u just ride you bike a certain amount of miles? i need a bike im moving to cali where gas is almost $5/gal. my legs are kiling me today bc i did sprints yesterday and leg exercises with free weights today.. i still thinking my eating too less and im afraid it will slow my metabolism down after lunch a a snack im STILL under 1000. My suggested goal is 2000. whats going? should i eat more carbs (which isnt in the best interest for myself) or protein or veggies?? im at a loss! |

i have a love/hate relationship with running. id like to keep it up but i find i get bored. whats a good way for me to not get bored? i would LOVE to run a half marathon one day..ill be living in cali for the nxt few yrs so i want to have the nice legs and the flat stomach cw: 179 gw: 168 gw2: 160

for those of you whohave trouble finding shoes say no more! its not set in stone but i'm currently trying to start a shoe company (ive been wearin a size 11 since 6th or 7th grade). hopefully i get some illustrations down but its gonna take a while...
anywho what kinda of exercising do most of you do? yesterday i alternated sprinting and walking for 20min. im going to weight train today (whole body) and come back and do a workout dvd most likely. any suggestions on other ways to really burn calories?!! i've been struggling to get the last 10-15lbs off...i might be eating too little too.

thanx carolally. i joined this not only because im tall but i cant seem to stay motivated. i feel as though my fat will never come off!!! no matter how much i work out...now i have class from 945am to 1pm. and its a lot of work for these classes so i usually dont workout at night unless its squats or lunges. what should i do? workout in the mornings (like jog/sprint around my neighborhood a few times) or workout dvds in the morn or night? also i like carbs but i feel as tho im depriving myself if i dont eat one carb a day or every few days...how can i incorporate carbs in my daily eating without gaining weight?
ANYONE can answer the questions!!! lol |

i have another question!! im pretty active but not like crazy crazy. i consume about 1300 cal to 1600 a day. my burn meter says my burn estimate is almost 3000. should i eat more than 1300-1600 a day? i mean i'm at a loss. HELP!!! |

hope i'm not too late to join! i'm 5'10 about 180 and i wanna get down to about 168 (yea i kno its no twenty but i need the help!) so far i've lost 3 lbs ( i started at 182) but to idk if anyone else feels this way but when i work hard to eat right and exercise, the weight doesnt move but if i do it uncounsciously, i lose the weight!! i need help to keep me motivated so i kno eventually i will lose the weight i want =) |

Sorry for the delay in a reply i couldnt log on for the longest time! thanks for the info though! i do 45min of cardio and rarely eat pizza from the cafe (usually twice a month) About the microwave meals...are healthy choice, weightwatcher, or lean cuisine meals ok? i dont stock up on them but i do have a few in the fridge... |

For whoever can answer this. Being a college student it is hard to eat healthy, I have to say that so far I am doing well. I don't eat the burgers and fries in the cafeteria. I usually aim for a wheat bread sandwhich or a salad. What suggestions do any of you have about what a college student should eat to lose weight. Also i have a pretty strong core but like others it is covered in flab. what exercises, cardio or weight training or any other form, can i do to lose the flab and show a little more abs and flatness? thanks!!!!! |
