Well, that's kind of interesting about the blood type eating. I'll have to check it out. Am very discouraged at this point. |

Thanks, Luv2diet. I usually work out 5x a week. No fewer than 4, for 45 minutes. I l alternate between the treadmill and a Leslie Sansone 45 minute workout. I have 75 lbs. to lose and it is dang hard to lose anything at this point. I eat 1200-1500 cals a day. No junk. Good, healthy food plus water. I'm doing everything right, but am not getting the results most people get. I'm taking 3 fucothins a day now, since taking more had not effect at all, except in my wallet. That's not where I want to lose weight!

Wow, Luv2diet, if I used your formula of 13 calories per pound of weight and deduct 500, I'd be able to eat 500 calories more than what I've been eating. Can that really work? I ought to be losing like gangbusters, but I'm not. I'm still exercising too. I get discouraged, but know I can't quit because somehow I've got to lose this weight. I'm going to go back to 3 fucothin a day. I took 9, then went back down to 6, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. So, StrikeZ, I'm going to follow your advice since you were successful. How do you get the free book when you buy Fucothin? I'm on my bazillionth bottle, and never got a free book.

Good luck, Anna! If you keep your calories down and exercise most days, you'll lose weight. I think I'm odd in that I lost weight initially, but since then the going has been very slow despite the fact that I've continued with keeping the calories down and the exercise up. |

Yodelmar, I'm so sorry you haven't had better results from the fucothin plan. Some folks seem to have a pretty easy time losing weight with it, but others of us have to really be careful about food intake as well as daily exercise. I wouldn't say the weight that I've lost has just fallen off me---I've had to work it off, and I still have a long, daunting way to go. You might want to try 2 pills 3x a day to see if it jump starts anything. I did the 3 at a time, but nothing happened and for me it's not worth the $$. I'm doing 2 at a time now. I'm about the last person to give advice about what to do to get going again. I'm always the one asking that question! You can read the community forums at the Perfect Weight America website. Maybe that would encourage you? Good luck, and don't give up! How's everyone else doing?? |

So how's everyone doing? It takes persistence and work, doesn't it? I finally have lost another two pounds this week after a 2 month plateau when nothing happened, scale-wise. (That's a total of 15 lbs. since January 1.) I think it's because I stepped up my exercise by increasing speed on the treadmill and adding a walking/exercise band CD to my day. I've had to work up slowly because of a surgery, but I'm building strength and stamina! I know others have had much better results than I have, but at least I'm losing weight and feeling healthier; much more energy. I'm eating carefully, still 1200-1500/day, making every calorie count. I'm determined that this is my year to lose the weight (about 70 lbs to go---scary!) and get healthy. I've been tempted to throw in the towel but the result of doing that is unthinkable, so....onward and downward with the fat!! |

I'm glad y'all have had good response. I'm in the 13th week of taking fucothin, and I'm still at a standstill. I'm doing everything right, but my body just isn't responding like it's supposed to. I shouldn't be surprised, really, it has always been this way. I had just hoped for a better response with the fucothin. I will keep trying and hope for it to really kick in like it did for strikez. I do realize that men seem to lose easier than women. I'm also 60, which makes it even more difficult. I might cut back to 3 a day because the 9 a day doesn't seem to improve anything and it's dang expensive. Good luck, everybody. I'll keep checking in. |

Welcome, meljem. And way to go, luv2diet! I haven't lost any more weight, so I upped the dose to 3 3x a day a week ago. So far no effect, but I'm hopeful. I am getting smaller though. Can wear more jeans I haven't worn in a long time. Still on the treadmill 40-50 min/day and eating about 1200-1500 cal a day. No sugar, white carbs. I haven't a clue why I'm not losing more weight. It's frustrating, but I'm not giving up. (I've lost 13 lbs. since Jan. 1)

LadyBug, I haven't had flushes at all, but I think I remember reading that someone else did. I haven't posted anything lately because I've had nothing to report. No weight loss for about a month in spite of the fact that I've held to very good eating, well below the 1800 that fucothin recommmends, and I've been on the treadmill for 40-50 min a day except when I had horrible bronchitis. Kind of discouraging. Did anyone else have this happen? I've only lost 13 lbs. since Jan.1, and 3-4 of those keep coming back and I lose them again. Advice, anyone? |

Great going, everybody! Luv2diet, I'm happy to hear that your loss has remained stable even tho you haven't exercised. When you begin exercising, I bet you'll lose even more. I haven't read Perfect Weight America but plan to see if my library has a copy. I'd probably learn a lot from reading it. My jeans are getting looser, and I'm able to wear two pairs that I couldn't remotely get into before. Feels really good. The numbers are going down slowly, but they're moving in the right direction. Keep going, everyone, and keep posting! It's good to hear from you. |

Wow, Strikez, way to go! 40 lbs. is awesome. That's very encouraging, and I know you'll finish off the final 10. Yodelmar, I did the same thing and got discouraged, but I persisted and it finally came off and I started to lose more. Keep going! Have you tried using a smaller plate to help with portion control? Smaller portions look better on a smaller plate. I'm focusing on lots of veggies/salads and that fills you up without doing damage! Yeah, Luv2diet, how are you doing? I'd like to get an update too!

Well, things are looking up! At this point I've lost a total of 13 lbs, which is more success than I've ever had with weight loss for this amount of time. Many times before, I have eaten as carefully and exercised as I am now without any or very little weight loss. I am convinced it is the Fucothin that is making the difference. Anybody still following this thread? |

I'm in my 7th week of taking Fucothin, eating very carefully, and exercising. I'm doing 50 minutes/day on the treadmill. I lost 8 1/2 lbs after a month, then gained 4 back and keep losing those and gaining them back. It's frustrating, because I'm eating so carefully. No sugar, no white carbs, etc. Moderate portions. Drinking water. I hoped that getting past 6 wks. on fucothin would start more weight loss! I am able to wear jeans I hadn't been able to wear for months, so that's good. I'm not giving up, and I think the fucothin is helpful, especially with controlling appetite. Any tips from those of you who have had more success? Thanks. |

(edit: removed paragraph) I'm thankful for the apparent help that fucothin is giving me. It's not magic. It takes hard work and discipline. But it does make the hard work and discipline have effect, something that I have tried, tried, tried before with no results. I'll let you know how things go. It sure is helpful to hear good things from others! |

It appears that the naysayers have impacted the conversation and brought it to a halt. Please, if you're opposed to Fucothin, that's fine. But I certainly don't see the point of reading the whole thread and being critical of those of us who are doing our best to lose weight for the sake of our health and well being. If Fucothin is helping us do that and we post about that, and we are encouraging each other, have the courtesy not to criticize just because you disagree with what we're doing. There are many other forums that you might find more to your liking and approval. That said, for those of you who might be interested, I've lost 5 pounds. For me, that's notable. How are y'all doing? I'd be happy to hear from you. |

I have every intention of continuing with the fucothin along with healthy eating and exercise. I know it helps curb my appetite, and that's terrific. I wasn't expecting that; I just noticed it. I'm not sure why someone who is opposed to fucothin would read these posts, let alone post something themselves. Go figure. It certainly doesn't change my mind. Fucothin is not harmful in any way, so why get heated about it? Good luck, everyone. Reading your posts is so helpful and encouraging. How much have you all lost?

Thanks for the encouragement, luv2diet07. Your entries were very helpful and make me want to keep going. Are you still taking FucoThin? Still losing? Let us know about the protein bars. Are they for meal replacement or for snacks? I hope it's working for everyone else too. I am very eager to start seeing results. |

| Hello everyone, Just read the posts on this forum, and am glad to have found it. I started FucoThin on January 2, taking it as directed 3x a day. Eating very healthy: no sugar, white carbs, etc, 1800 cals or less per day. Am also using the treadmill 35 min. every day. I have a long way to go, and am hoping FucoThin works. I have a TERRIBLE time losing weight. | |||
