Better late than never.  SW:136,  CW:135.4  Lost 0.6 in two weeks :-(

That is super slow with exercise and watching what I eat.  How can you manage to loose 1-2 lbs a week specially when you weigh in 120s or low 130s?  How are you able to get big enough deficit.  Do you eat around 1200 and exercise everyday?  I am so dissapointed.

CC's burn meter at sedentary says 1670 and I tried phord which says RMR of 1520.  That's not maintenance cal for me, I start gaining if I eat that much.

I am in too!

I was just trying to figure out (during lunch, ha! ha!) what might be reasonable time to loose 10 pounds and came up with end of March as well.  It is 12 weeks from now and if we target 1 pounds per week with 2 week padding (accounting for any plateau period) we should make it.

I am 28, 5' 1'' and 136 pounds.  Good luck!

I got married couple years ago and put on 10-12 pounds in about 6 months.  I moved after getting married and my life style had become more sedentary because of nature of my job and I had stopped working out.  Also, I had switched to birth control pills which might also be a cluprit.  Have any of you noticed anything similar?

I gained like 6 pounds in first 4 months and was steady at that for another 6-8 months after which I gained 4-6 pounds more.  I have been trying to loose for last few months but no luck so far.  I watch what I eat and exercise, but it just doesn't seem to make any difference.

I am still stuck at 134 but I wore one of my favorite t-shirt that I hadn't in a while and it certainly was'nt feeling tight like last few (more that few) months.  Hopefully I have gained a little muscle weight and lost some fat.

Hi all,

I am soon to be 28 and have been weighing 135 for past 5 months. I just joined this site an hour ago. My goal is to loose 15lbs that I have gained since June of 2006. I learned about this site from my co-worker who lost 35lbs in last 6-8 months.

I got married in June 2006 and also my new job is very time consuming, so I was eating out frequently or making pasta a lot. I am not on any diet currently but have been somewhat watching what I eat and as a result not gained any in last 5 months. I want to loose what I gained and mostly as fat. I have higher body fat content and would like to lower that and gain some muscle.

Does anyone have any suggestion on weight machines at gym vs. using dumbells or doing taebo/pilates? Also, my problem is that I don't feel like going to gym after work and I am not an early riser either. Once I am at gym, I love it and not in any rush to go home. What do you all to get motivated to go to gym?
