As much as I love music (and I'm a little obsessed with it) I find that I enjoy myself more if I leave my iPod at home when I walk. It's just nice being quiet for once. I actually walk longer when I leave my iPod. If I concentrate on walking, I get more into it. But that's just me. |

You shouldn't feel silly! I love the Wii fit! I always feel like I'm getting a good workout on it. The only thing is that I don't feel it weighs you correctly. I weighed myself on it once and it said 155, which is about how much I weighed at the time. A week later it said I weighed 126 which I knew couldn't be right so I stepped off of it and got right back on and it said I weighed 135. That is when I decided not to beat myself up so much when the Wii fit guy calls me fat! |

There was this one guy who used to work out at the YMCA. He was really skinny and you could tell by the way he carried himself that he thought he was really hot stuff. He would go to the weight side of the gym like he was so cool and he'd pick up just the bar with no weights on it and by all the sounds and faces he would make you'd think that thing weighed a thousand pounds! I'm not talking like little involuntary grunts. I'm talking agonizing grunts of exertion. Loud! Another thing that bothered me was that women would just get completely naked in the locker room! There were 6 dressing rooms and there was always at least one open but they would just strip off right in front of God and everybody! It wouldn't have bothered me so much if there weren't mirrors everywhere. No matter where you turned, there they are! I put in several complaints, but nothing was ever done. GROSS!!!!!!! |

I thought it was BS but I am glad you guys think so too! I have just decided, like you, ccforme, that cellulite happens so I am wearing a bikini to the beach next week whether or not my thighs look like they are filled with mashed potatoes! Helpful tip: if you feel like you're retaining water, heat up the juice of one lemon and a little bit of water as hot as you can stand and chug it. Lemon is a natural diuretic, so you'll pee about every 5 minutes for about 3 hours, but when it's over you will be flushed of toxins and no longer retaining water. Is it also true that using one of those little hand held massagers on your problem areas reduces cellulite because it increases circulation? |

He actually said it once before on our second date after we kissed for the first time and I knew he was just caught up in the moment so I told him I didn't want to say it until I was sure I meant it and, being the wonderful person he is, he understood perfectly. This time, though, I know he really meant it. I do feel like I should say it to his face when it is the right time. I don't know if I love him yet, but I do know that I'm getting there. It's also that time of the month, so I figure it's not the best time to make an important decision like that. Lol |

Original Post by sngbrdchls77: It literally kind of fell in my lap. Mine was new at our school last year and I thought he was gross and weird, but he really liked me and was determined to make me like him and followed me around for the whole year and some of this year. After I finally got to know him, he grew on me and now we're attached at the hip : ) You'll come across one when you are least expecting it or have decided to stop looking. Lol |

Slowly, but surely, I am starting to open up a little bit. It's not been anything earth-shattering yet, but baby steps. He'll say "You look beautiful today" and I'll say "So do you" and then I'll laugh and say "No, but really. You look nice." It may not sound like much, but it is to me. Just little things like that. That's where, in my opinion, the real romance is. When we're sitting on the couch watching TV together, or when we go for a walk, or when we just glance at each other, smile, and don't say anything. That's where the real romance is. It probably wouldn't hurt to say something when he's being all sentimental, though. Baby steps. = ) |

I would also love to join you! I am 16 and a senior in high school. I lost 35 pounds two years ago and gained all but about 10 of it back. Since I started school this year, got a job, and lost interest in food, I comfortably fit back into my size 10 jeans that I couldn't button a month ago. On my days off, I try really hard to go for long walks because I really like to. I am boycotting scales, so I am going solely by what clothes I fit back into. I wish the best of luck to everybody!!!!! Pink |

| The Lounge | Christians.....I have a Question? | Jun 26 2008 22:17 (UTC) |

I can see where you're coming from. What I've always believed, and what the Baptist church teaches, is that it's not works that saves you or confession to a priest. It's a personal relationship with Christ. None of us are perfect, including Christians, so we're going to slip up sometimes. Of course, we are to try to avoid this as much as possible, but when we make mistakes, we are not accountable to anyone other than Christ. We confess our sins to Christ in prayer and ask Him to save us. After this happens, all our sins are covered by His blood: past, present, and future. That doesn't mean, however, that we can just go out and do whatever we want and not expect consequences. We are supposed to live out our faith every day. I hope this helps a little. = ) |

I know a girl from church who got engaged when she was 16! The guy came to church with her a couple of times and he looks like he's 30. He turned out to only be a couple years older than her, but he still looked creepy. I did not approve. She stopped coming to church after they got engaged. I am afraid she's going to end up pregnant. The wedding is supposed to be in about a year. Scary! |

I turn on a cd really loud so I can hear it all over the house and walk around in my underwear, or a towel. One time I made cookie dough without the eggs so I could just eat it raw. That was all I had to eat that day and I was so sick later! I wish it were more exciting. = ( |

Well, there ended up being no broccoli, but I ate my salmon and only a few bites of my corn. I hate the bad diet day feeling! I feel like such a blob! Also, I had babysitting jobs all across town today, so I couldn't drink my huge water jug like I normally do, so I'm dehydrated, which I hate! Tomorrow, I can't wait to go for my walk and do pilates! What helps on these bad days, though, is to know that I didn't gain weight from one bad day. I hope to redeem myself tomorrow. Thanks, everybody! That answered my question! = ) |

My mom can never remember anyone's name, so when she's talking about someone she will always call them Mr. or Mrs. "Whatchamajigger" or "Doodly" . It drives me crazy! The sad part is I normally know who she's talking about. Also, whenever me or my sister says "Guess what" she says "Chicken squat: put it on bread and see what you got." I really have no idea what that means. |

My aunt is 35 years old, weighs about 80 pounds and is 4'11". Needless to say, she is very tiny. She has never been large up top, but after her two children, she couldn't even wear an A bra. She got a small B breast implant, and they look fairly natural on her tiny figure. I think if you get a realistic size they look normal. However, if you wear a size 2 and have DD boobs, it makes it kind of obvious. |

Slowly but surely some weight is coming off. I feel healthy. I am waiting until I'm hungry to eat and I try to avoid eating between meals. I've been exercising will power by not eating when my friends do. I have a free period and I normally eat my lunch then. When it's my real lunch time, I just talk to my friends while they eat. They probably think I'm anorexic, but I'm happy with myself for having that kind of will power. My friend offered me a hoagie today. I love the school's hoagies, but I said no because I wasn't really hungry and I knew that it would just jack up my calories for the day. I have actuallly been feeling kind of sickish off and on since Saturday. Also, with the stress of school winding down and finals and such, I've not been so hungry AND a couple of huge mothers of zits have made special guest appearances on my face AND I have about 6 mouth sores that are killing me. That also keeps me from eating a lot of stuff. I know it will burn my mouth like no other and it's just not worth it. It's like God's giving me tough love Lol! I'm planning on going swimsuit shopping next week one day. Right now I'm exhausted. I need to catch up on some sleep. I'll keep you posted! |

I've started losing a little weight, actually. I guess I forgot that this is how it went last time. I watch what I eat and exercise a whole bunch for a while, don't lose any weight, then I lose a noticeable amount of weight in a short time frame. I just bought a pair of pants on Saturday that are a size smaller than what I usually wear in that brand, and they're even feeling a little loose! I have been drinking water, but I can't have too much because I'm at school all day and my teachers don't like to let me go to the bathroom. I have become addicted to speed walking. It's not power walking because I don't look funny when I do it, but it's about the same pace as a light jog without the strain on my knees. I did pilates on Saturday (and my abs are absolutely killing me!). I am really excited! I actually fit back into my clothes from last summer! I still have a few pounds to go, so I'll keep you guys posted. If you think of any other tips, please post them! I will need it! |

1. People who can eat whatever in the heck they want and not gain a single ounce. 2. When the only genes I inherited were the thyroid disorders and the short stature. 3. When chocolate gives you cramps. 4. When I eat exactly what I'm supposed to and exercise and still don't see a difference. I'm with you, Mango, about the people telling me I'm fine when I don't think so. |

Kashi Go Lean! crunch is pretty good. It has 9 grams of protein and 9 grams of fiber. It is about 190 calories per serving. I prefer Fiber One because it has 14 grams of fiber. I think it really helped me lose the 20 pounds I've lost. It also has 4 grams of protein, no sugar, and only 60 calories per serving. It does, however, have the consistency of sticks. They also have a different option called Fiber One honey clusters. It is flakes and honey oat clusters. It tastes considerably better and still has 13 grams of fiber. It has about 160 calories per serving. |

You also need to take into consideration things like protein, carbs, fat, and sugar as a part of what you're eating. Also, the types of these things you're taking in. A complex carb like a banana is better for you than the carbs in a slice of white bread. The fat in a lean chicken breast is better for you than the fat in a bag of potato chips. The sugar in an apple is better for you than the sugar in a bowl of ice cream. You get what I'm saying? |

| Weight Loss | Success at last! | Apr 05 2008 19:29 (UTC) |

Well, when I said 2 pounds, I meant the last time I weighed myself (a month ago or so). The last time I weighed myself, the shorts didn't fit, but yesterday i tried them on and they fit! That must mean I've lost more weight! Last summer I was at an all time low (well, since I was about 13) of 146. When I went to choir competition (2 meals a day of fast food for 4 days) and went on a family vacation (a week of doing nothing but eating seafood and sitting on the beach) I gained about 7 pounds. Several more pounds started to sneak on when I lost track of my diet and stopped exercising as much once school was in. At Christmas time, I weighed myself at the gym and it said 155. December, being a busy time for our family, meant lots of food. My cousin had a birthday, my uncle had a birthday, Christmas eve at my granny's house, Christmas day at my grandma's house, a couple of leftover days, and New Years Eve left me about 5 pounds to remember it by. I started cutting calories, walking, and doing exercise DvD's and the last time I weighed myself a few weeks ago, I had only lost 2 pounds. Now, I fit into my shorts and my bathing suits don't look so gross on me! YaY!!!!! |

Three ladies at school have told me they know people who would go with me. I actually gave my picture and number to one of them and he hasn't called me yet. I'm really relying on one of these ladies to get me a date! I really would like to go with someone who doesn't go to my school. It would be so cool to go into my prom with a really cute guy so it can be like "in your face" to all the mediocre-looking guys who are too good to go out with me. I'm not too worried about it, though. In a week and a half, if I still don't have a date, I'll ask the red-headed kid. |
