Weight Loss anyone 5'8"? Apr 08 2008

I am 5'8 and about 145 (medium frame).  My goal is to lose 10 pounds.  I would really like to be 130.  I would be very happy at 135.  I've been trying to get under 140 for about 8 years...I get close but than my weight goes back up.  I really think that my body likes to be 145-150.  That's with eating pretty darn healthy and working out 3-5 times a week.

If anyone has any suggestion to lose those last 10 pounds that never wants to come off, please let me know.  I feel like I am fighting with my body!  My body looks ok.  My tummy could stand to lose some fat.  I like every other body part just fine.

 I am a size 8 and I want to be a size 6.

Motivation Monday morning... goals for the week? Apr 08 2008

My goal this week is to eat 1600-1700 calories during the week.  I don't count on the weekends.  It's just too hard.  I do still eat healthy.

To go to dance class the next three days.  I take two classes per day (2 hours long).

I will be out of town Friday-Sunday. So I plan to try to at least go on a walk with my mom and do some abs on Sunday. Than next week I want to try to make up for not being about to workout more.  So next week I will try for 6 days.

It didn't have Ephedra when I was taking it and I had a seizure.  Please stay away from this diet pills.  Diet pill are not good for you.  To loose weight you need to eat healthy and exercise.  Your not going to find magic weight lose in a Pill with out side effects.

Hello, I am 5'8 and 147 pounds.  Please feel free to email me if you want to talk.  I see a lot of people have already replied.  I read that you have lots of temptations in your house.  My suggestions would be to get rid of all the bad foods and replace them with healthy options.  If that's not possible than at least have the healthy options available so your not tempted.  My husband likes these chips and they are so addictive.  So I try to keep humus, raw veggies etc on hand to eat.  Other than that we really only keep healthy food in the house.  He eats pretty healthy as well and that helps a lot. Sounds like your work outs are exactly where you want them to be.  Your doing an excellent on that and you should be very proud of yourself.  It's hard to keep up with that kind of routine.  I work out 4-5 days a week and I would work out more if I could.  I am addicted to it.  Another thing is you want to be eating plenty of protein.  You can try Muscle milk light and drink that before or after your work outs.  It gives you 25 grams of protein.  The protein will help you loose fat and gain muscle.

I had sugery a month ago and so I know exactly how you feel.  I can't wear my normal pants  because it hurts my tummy.  I absolutely love to work out so I am slowly getting back into the swing of things.

I started off walking and now I jog, do the stairmaster and precor.  I also do light weight training.  I have noticed the next day I am in more pain.  But for me it's worth it.  I am working out 3 times a week and taking at least 1 day in between to rest.  I would say to start walking and than build from there.  Walking is better than doing nothing and it will actually help you to heal faster.  Good luck!

What I do is keep food for lunch in the refriderator and at my desk.  You can buy frozen dinners, stuff to make sandwiches or bring lunch from home.  I also keep nutritional snacks at my desk.  This keeps me from eat fast food and also I know how many calories I am consuming.
