Hey, I didn't count the number of black jelly beans that I ate last night (yum), but I won't eat any for the rest of the week. We all slip. You'll be ok. At least you had an excuse! |

Isn't it fun to be fit snobs? I just left the gym, wore my $50.00 Nikes from the outlet store, and I fell better than any pair of $250 shoes could make me feel just walking around. Exercise is vital for me to feel good, working up a sweat. I don't think that I could get that same feeling just wearing shoes... Though I DO get a rush from a good Coach bag.... ok, but I won't lose the same amount of weight that did with the Nikes.
Hey- I missed the show- how was it? |

The egg wash and deep frying preparation process of the Blooming Onion makes it massively caloric. A single Blooming Onion with dressing has been reported as containing 2210 calories and 134 grams of fat.[1] A study by the Center for Science in the Public Interest had a slightly lower fat content of 116 grams, including 44 grams of transfat.[2]

| Foods | fruit weight question | Mar 14 2008 20:16 (UTC) |

It would seem that the weight should indicate food that it is consummable. If you weight the fruit with the peel, it is expected that you will eat the peel. So, peel the fruit before you weigh it, unless you like banana peels. |

| Foods | Applesauce -- how can anyone eat the sweetened stuff? | Mar 06 2008 14:39 (UTC) |
|
| I keep some of the 50 calorie packs of applesauce in my office too, but yesterday I ate one, and it was so sweet that I almost gagged! Since this happened weeks after I started this diet, I just assume that my taste buds are getting more sensitive to sweets now! | |||

Believe it or not, I had this problem before and the problem is that when you weight train and build muscle, if you are not losing fat at the same time, all you are doing is pushing the new muscle against the fat. So, you'll have to continue to get rid of the fat. You do not replace fat with muscle, you build muscle and lose fat. This is why we have to do both areobic and weight training- to get rid of the fat layer beneath the new muscle. Cut back on the calories, continue the areobics (and not just thr treadmill, unless you are working that heart rate!), and you'll soon see the difference.

Speaking of muffins: I got this reciepe for bran muffins which is very good. 1 point per muffin (about 90 calories), and makes 75 muffins. Mix the following together: 6 cups Complete Wheat Bran, 1/2 box Fiber One cereal, 1 1/2 cup sugar, 5 cups flour, 5 tsp baking soda, 1 Tablespoon Cinnamon, 2 tsp salt. Add: 4 beaten eggs, 1/2 cup applesauce, 1 Tablespoon vanilla, 2 quarts buttermilk, 2 bags raisins Mix the night before all ingrediants so that the batter softens the cereal. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Do not use paper muffin cups, because the batter will stick. Use foil cups if you have to, or just spray with a cooking spray. The batter will keep for up to six weeks in the refrigerator. Let me know what you think!

| Weight Loss | Hoodia | Feb 11 2008 15:18 (UTC) |

From what I understand, true Hoodia cannot be found in the US anyway. I went to Africa last year for 2 months, and my co-workers (Africans) had never heard of Hoodia, but one guy did eat this nugget of stuff that he said kept him awake. I wasn't trying it, especially since he said that he had bought it locally and not as it was shown on television, with men out working in the 'bush' eating it to keep their energy up. The Hoodia that I purchased at the 'health' food stores in the US did nothing for me. They say that Oprah used it, but have you seen her lately? Must not work for her either! |

| Not eat breakfast? I would snap off someone's head without something to eat within an hour or so of getting up. Coffee alone would make me sick as a dog. I need protein to feed my brain. | |||

I once dated a man who's waist was smaller than mine, and all I could think about was that his skin looked as smooth as a baby's.... I dumped him. Never trust a skinny man!
