Have you ever tried light dressing? Ken's Stake House lite caesar only has 70 cals for 2 tablespoons. The lite raspberry walnut is good too, especially on spinach.

It is good to have nearly clear pee.  You people... sometimes...

Anyway, during cross country a girl on the team got dehydrated (like really bad and she couldn't keep anything down) so the doctor told her to drink slowly and eat saltines do her body would start retaining water.

The deal with salt is, watch your daily intake of it and get plenty of water.  Drink how ever much makes you feel good.

Weight Loss Do You Gain or Lose Weight When You're In a Relationship? Apr 16 2008

I am more active in a relationship and I'm usually maintaining or losing. It was when I was single I was out drinking and partying all the time. It probably helps having an athletic boy friend who isn't as much of a crazy party person as me. Plus, he lets me cook so I have control over what we eat. He eats like crap sometimes and I hate it because I want him to be really healthy and live for a long, long time :)

If they have chicken fajitas, that would probably be the healthiest option - go easy on the sour cream/cheese-type toppings.

I second the fajitas.  They come with lots of vegetables and you can control how much extra crap you want on them like guac and sour cream instead of having something smothered in cheese.

The pill does not directly cause weight gain, it causes increase in appetite.  Your pills should have a little booklet inside the box.  Just read it.  I was on Yasmin, but I just switched to Yaz because it has fewer hormones.  I think the pill efffect is different for everyone.

Foods How bad would it be to eat an iced honey bun? Apr 14 2008

Original Post by alanbates:

...I haven't really heard anything consistent on an allowance of saturated fats.

My rule of thumb with sat fat is this:
I have a personal "allowance" of 0 g of saturated fat in a day. However, that doesn't mean that I eat no sat fat. It means that I apply different rules to it. I multiply the count of saturated fat grams by the caloric content of whatever I ate, then divide that in half. I add this many calories on to my cardio workout for the day (or for the next day if I've already done my cardio)

Using your iced honey bun as an example: (using stats from calorie-count.com

430 Kcalories

5 g of saturated fat

(430 x 5) / 2 = 1050 Kcal

Becomes a penalty of 1050 Kcal that I have to burn extra(about an hour of moderate-high moderate intensity on an elliptical for me....or about an hour 15 minutes rowing, or about an hour run.

....It might make you want to cut your honey bun in half and save some for tomorrow ;)

Edit:  I consider meals with less than a gram of saturated fat to be negligible.  I might add them up at the end of the day if I haven't had any sat fat rich snack, but my regular workout is more than enough to absorb a little.  I make my allowance well below what is "unhealthy"  If you put a luxury tax on your sweets, it keeps them in bounds for your diet, but might make you think twice about the portion that you eat.

This coming from a guy who takes pictures of himself in a miror... Come on! Eat whatever the f you like. How did this post about honey buns turn ito a post about you again?

I have this pair of jeans that I can't button around TTOM. They are my goal jeans I suppose, but I know it's not my butt getting bigger, it is just a little all around bloating. It's weird, but I wouldn't sweat it. Try again in about a week and get enough water everyday. It could help.

I won't give up wine for water all together, but  I don't drink it all the time anymore.  Light bread is a switch I've made.  I've also gone down to 1%milk from 2%... even though that is a small change.  I still use real butter, but I buy the unsalted kind now.  I also refuse to replace olive oil with Pam or any other cooking spray.

The first poster is full of lies!... it def won't slow you down.  Do factor it in however.

On a little side story here- My mom's trainer told her whenever she gives up wine for lent, she actually gains weight becuase she ends up eating in place of the wine.  I'm sure she might have sweets instead of wine if it really causes her to gain weight, but still.  Factored in, no problem.

I think, techraven, you might have a slightly distorted vision of what sizes on a woman that tall look like. I wear a size 8 in pants and a 10 in dresses, and am 5'11''. I am not 'a bit curvy' I definitely look on the skinny side. Now, as to what size she currently is and what she weighs, I don't know, nor do I really care, I just had to step in and speak out for tall women and how annoying talking about the numbers involved with size and weight are when people are used to women much shorter than you.

Yeah I don't think an 8 or 10 is too curvy either, (Except for my butt maybe :) ) But boys are dumb (in a cute way?) and they never seem to say things the way they mean them.

Then bourbon and L&P, then chocolate cake when i got home... then L&P and brandy.

Yeah sure some girls are natuarlly bigger, but size 16 is not so natural. I don't get why everyone keeps comparing her to a size zero. At 5'10 she could probably never be a size 0 in the first place. She would look a hundred times better if she were a size 6,8,10, or 12. For that height and truely healthy healthy BMI, those are realistic sizes.
